Afghan Siblings Recount the Perils of the First Day of Taliban Rule

THE NEW YORK TIMES: Ahmad, 27, lingered in bed. He did not want to face the day. His sister Haanya, 20, had no appetite for breakfast. She looked out the window, where four Taliban fighters were patrolling the block, AK-47 rifles swung over their shoulders.

It was Tuesday morning in Kabul, a day after the United States completed its military withdrawal, and there was no doubt who was in charge now.

In telephone interviews, the two siblings recounted what their lives looked like on Day 1 of Taliban rule, after two decades of U.S. occupation. Like many ordinary Afghans, they were already trying to learn how to navigate the new Afghanistan.

“Our life just two weeks ago seems 10 years away,” Ahmad said. “For 20 years the U.S. lied to us and said: ‘We are with you. We will not leave the Afghan people.’ Who is with us now? Only the Taliban.”

Just two weeks ago, before the Taliban entered the capital, Ahmad was a government employee. He lost his job and access to his government bank account with his savings. His wife had a miscarriage.

Haanya, a freelance journalist, used to roam cafes freely and talked to strangers for her stories. Now, her story pitches are turned down, and she hasn’t left the house in 10 days. Sep 1, 2021 • Sigmund Freuds Tochter Anna wurde im gleichen Jahr geboren wie die Psychoanalyse. Im Londoner Exil hält Anna beim Durchsehen der Korrespondenz von Freud ein Zwiegespräch mit ihm. Dabei entsteht das Doppelporträt des Vaters der Psychoanalyse und der Tochter, die er nicht gewollt hatte. Bekannte französische Schauspieler haben den Protagonisten ihre Stimmen geliehen.

Wer Freuds Lebensgeschichte niederschreiben will, darf ihm nicht gehorchen, denn der Erforscher der Psyche sprach der Öffentlichkeit das Recht ab, mehr über seine persönlichen Verhältnisse, seine Kämpfe, Enttäuschungen und Erfolge zu erfahren. Ein Biograf müsse lügen, beschönigen und gar sein eigenes Unverständnis verbergen, denn man könne die Wahrheit einer Biografie nicht besitzen, und besäße sie jemand, könnte er nicht darüber verfügen. David Teboul hat nicht gezögert, sich Freud zu widersetzen. Er zeichnet dieses Porträt anhand von dessen Briefwechsel, der sich als wichtigste Materie durch den Film zieht. Seine Korrespondenz weist Freud als einen der letzten großen Briefschreiber des Jahrhunderts aus. Er führte sogar ein Verzeichnis über seinen Briefwechsel und hielt fest, welche Briefe er schrieb, erhielt und erwartete. Korrespondenzen haben die europäische Kultur wesentlich geprägt; davon zeugen auch Freuds Briefe, in denen er die Entstehung und das Erstarken der psychoanalytischen Bewegung dokumentiert. Doch bei Freud gab es ein besonderes Bedürfnis, mit seinen Briefpartnern zu kommunizieren, in Kontakt zu bleiben und zu den anderen ein Band zu knüpfen, das es ihm gestattete, eine Beziehung zu pflegen, aber auch auf Abstand zu gehen. In diesem sehr persönlichen Porträt spricht Freud selbst im Präsens über sein Leben und Denken und tritt mit Zeitgenossen in Dialog. Er lässt den Zuschauer die Entstehung der Psychoanalyse ebenso miterleben wie auch seine Begeisterung und seinen Ehrgeiz, Enttäuschungen und Ernüchterungen. Durch freie Assoziation erfindet der Film Szenen aus Freuds Leben: Seine Begegnungen, Entdeckungen, Erfolge und Misserfolge werden als – oft traumartige – Reminiszenzen mit Gegenständen, Gesichtern, Stimmen, Landschaften, Menschengruppen und Einzelpersonen in Bezug gesetzt. Stuffed Cabbage Rolls is a common dish to the cuisines of the Balkans, Central, Eastern Europe, Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as the Middle East and West Asia and Northern China. But it is probably the most popular cabbage dish in Russia, after Borscht [Borsch] ,of course.

Ingredients:

1 head of cabbage

For the sauce:

3 medium carrots (grated)
1 large onion
1 large can of tomatoes
5 cloves garlic (pressed)
½ cup of fresh dill and parsley
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp cooking oil

Method:

Sauté the onions in butter and oil (you need 2 onions in total)
Add salt and pepper
Reserve half for the filling.>br /> In a large sauce pan, add cooking oil.
Add grated carrots and onion.
Add garlic and crushed tomatoes (reserve ½ cup of tomato puree for the filling).
Add fresh herbs, salt and pepper.
Set aside.

Filling:

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 onion
1½ cups of rice (al dente)
fresh herbs (parsley and dill)
½ cup tomato puree
¼ cup cold water
salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients and set aside.

Prepare cabbage leaves. Cut the core of whole cabbage around with sharp knife. Place it in a large pot with boiling water, ‘core’ side down.
Remove some of the outer leaves as they start cooking and place them on the paper towel.
Repeat the process until you are left with pretty much just the core.

To make rolls:

Place a generous amount of the filling on each cooked cabbage leaf. Roll tight. In a large pot, add some of the sauce, then cabbage rolls, then sauce again, then cabbage rolls. Cover with more sauce and simmer on a low heat for 45 minutes. Serve with sour cream and fresh dill! Enjoy!

GASTKOMMENTAR
In Bezug auf Afghanistan ist derzeit allerorten vom «Scheitern des Westens» zu hören, vom Scheitern des Islam jedoch so gut wie nie. Der Westen hatte jedoch nie vor, Afghanistan zu «verwestlichen». Insofern ist er mit seinen Werten dort auch nicht gescheitert. Er hat lediglich versucht, militärisch eine Brandmauer zwischen dem friedlich-toleranten und dem kriegerisch-jihadistischen Islam zu errichten. Denn diese Brandmauer fehlt in der islamischen Theologie bis heute.

Darauf verweist die muslimische Aufklärung besonders hartnäckig seit 9/11: «Der friedlich-tolerante Islam ist als Wunschvorstellung der meisten Muslime verständlich, allein ihm fehlt die theologische Stütze», erklärte 2002 der Algerier Soheib Bencheikh, damals Grossmufti der 46 muslimischen Gemeinden von Marseille. 2003 schrieb der tunesisch-stämmige Islamwissenschafter Abdelwahab Meddeb: «Wenn der Fanatismus die Krankheit des Katholizismus und der Nazismus die deutsche Krankheit darstellen, dann ist im Fundamentalismus zweifellos die islamische Krankheit zu sehen.» Leider ohne Wirkung auf das nach wie vor weit verbreitete «Das hat alles nichts mit dem Islam zu tun»-Denken in der westlichen Politik und unter westlichen Intellektuellen.

Da er diese Missachtung der muslimischen Aufklärung für verantwortungslos und gefährlich hielt, richtete der Präsident der grössten Muslimvereinigung Indonesiens, des bevölkerungsreichsten muslimischen Landes der Welt, Yahia Cholil Staquf, 2017 einen warnenden Appel an den Westen: «Es gibt einen ganz klaren Zusammenhang zwischen Fundamentalismus, Terror und den Grundannahmen der islamischen Theologie . . . FRANKFURTER ALLGEMEINE ZEITUNG: In Texas dürfen Frauen von der sechsten Woche an nicht mehr abtreiben. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wissen viele aber noch nichts von ihrer Schwangerschaft. Überhaupt ist das neue Gesetz umstritten – von Denunziantentum ist die Rede.

Bis zuletzt hatten viele Menschen in Texas gehofft, dass der Oberste Gerichtshof einschreiten würde – doch in der Nacht von Dienstag auf Mittwoch schwiegen die neun Richterinnen und Richter zum neuen Abtreibungsgesetz in dem republikanisch regierten Bundesstaat. Damit trat es in Kraft. Weniger als 24 Stunden später kam dann doch eine Entscheidung der Richter in Washington, doch änderte diese nichts an der Situation. Mit fünf gegen vier Stimmen entschied das Oberste Gericht, das texanische Gesetz nicht zu blockieren. Die konservative Mehrheit beschied den Anträgen, es zu stoppen, sie seien nicht überzeugend gewesen. In der Begründung schreiben die fünf Richter jedoch auch, dass dies keine Entscheidung über die Rechtmäßigkeit des Gesetzes sei.

Das Gesetz sieht vor, dass Personen, die einen Schwangerschaftsabbruch vornehmen oder unterstützen, rechtlich haftbar gemacht werden können – die Schwangere selbst fällt aber nicht darunter. Die neue Regelung betrifft alle Schwangerschaften von der sechsten Woche an, wenn viele Frauen noch nicht wissen, dass sie schwanger sind. Laut der amerikanischen Gesundheitsbehörde CDC werden geschätzte 65 Prozent der Abtreibungen in den ersten acht, und 91 Prozent in den ersten 13 Wochen nach der Befruchtung vorgenommen. Das texanische Gesetz erklärt damit sehr viele Schwangerschaftsabbrüche faktisch für illegal. LE FIGARO : Le président américain Joe Biden a promis mercredi 1er septembre de défendre le droit des femmes à avorter et vivement critiqué une loi extrêmement restrictive entrée en vigueur au Texas dans la nuit.

«Cette loi radicale est une violation flagrante du droit constitutionnel reconnu dans l'arrêt Roe v. Wade», a-t-il écrit dans un communiqué, en référence à la décision de la Cour suprême de 1973 qui a instauré un droit à l'avortement aux États-Unis. «Nous allons protéger et défendre ce droit (...) mon gouvernement y est très attaché», a-t-il ajouté.

La loi texane, qui fait l'objet d'un recours en urgence devant la Cour suprême, interdit d'avorter une fois les battements du cœur de l'embryon détectés, soit environ à six semaines de grossesse, même en cas d'inceste ou de viol. Fait unique : elle confie exclusivement aux citoyens le soin de la faire respecter en leur donnant la possibilité de poursuivre toute personne ou organisation qui aiderait les femmes à avorter au-delà de ce terme.

THE NEW YORK TIMES: The law, which prohibits most abortions after six weeks and went into effect on Wednesday, was drafted by Texas lawmakers with the goal of frustrating efforts to challenge it in federal court.

The Supreme Court refused just before midnight on Wednesday to block a Texas law prohibiting most abortions, less than a day after it took effect and became the most restrictive abortion measure in the nation.

The vote was 5 to 4, with Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. joining the court’s three liberal members in dissent.

The majority opinion was unsigned and consisted of a single long paragraph. It said the abortion providers who had challenged the law in an emergency application to the court had not made their case in the face of “complex and novel” procedural questions. The majority stressed that it was not ruling on the constitutionality of the Texas law and did not mean to limit “procedurally proper challenges” to it.

But the ruling was certain to fuel the hopes of abortion opponents and fears of abortion rights advocates as the court takes up a separate case in its new term this fall to decide whether Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision establishing a constitutional right to the procedure, should be overruled. It also left Texas abortion providers turning away patients as they scrambled to comply with the law, which prohibits abortions after roughly six weeks.

I find the extreme right-wing positions taken in American politics very disturbing. As my followers know by now, I do not like extreme politics, either on the left or right. I believe in the golden middle way wherever and whenever possible. I certainly do not think that politicians should be meddling in medical matters relating to a woman's body. This should be left to the medical doctors and specialists who know far better than judges, law-makers or politicians what course of action is correct for their patients.

One gets the feeling that these legislarors are in serious competition with the Taliban!

We've just had to live through four years of that awful man, Trump, in power; now this draconian law! This law puts medical doctors in an invidious and extremely difficult position. Whilst I do believe that abortions should be avoided whenever possible, there are times when a mother's life is at risk of death if she continues to carry the baby full-term. And what if the mother's death will leave her other children without a mother? Have these lawmakers really thought this through? Also, if a young girl gets raped and ends up pregnant as a result of the rape, she will now have to carry the rapist's child for the full nine-month term and be its mother for the rest of her life. What a burden to bear! Who'd want to be a doctor in Texas? Or a mother in Texas, for that matter!

So what do they want to ban next? Alcohol? Gay weddings? Tobacco?

The Prohibition didn't stop the drinking of alcohol in America in the Twenties and early Thirties. It just drove drinking underground. Until the stupid law had to be repealed. This law is equally stupid. Just as the Prohibition didn't stop drinking; this law will not stop abortions. All it will do is drive the aborting of unwanted babies underground: to the backstreets! We'll be back to primitive ways of aborting babies next, like hot baths, bottles of gin, and knitting needles! I believe that this is how many an unwanted baby was aborted in years gone by. Further, this is a regressive measure because it will hit the poorest in society the most. Rich women will be able to travel out of state for their abortions, or even travel abroad to get them. Such a solution will probably not be affordable for the poorest women in society. In short: The Prohibition didn't stop the drinking of alcohol; and this law will not stop abortions either! It will stop some, but it will cause unspeakable misery for those who will be unable to circumvent the law. "I rest my case."

I feel very sorry to have to say this, but I fear that the USA has seen its finest days. It used to be the wellspring of forward thinking and fresh ideas. Now it seems to have taken on the röle of being the wellspring of oppression and suppression. – © Mark

The most radical abortion law in the US has gone into effect, despite legal efforts to block it.

A near-total abortion ban in Texas empowers any private citizen to sue an abortion provider who violates the law, opening the floodgates to harassing and frivolous lawsuits from anti-abortion vigilantes that could eventually shutter most clinics in the state.

Die letzten westlichen Truppen sind aus Afghanistan abgezogen, und die Taliban wollen dieser Tage ihre Regierung präsentieren. Damit rückt für Amerikaner und Europäer die heikle Frage in den Vordergrund, wie man dem neuen Regime in Kabul begegnen will. Soll man pragmatisch sein und die neuen Herrscher am Hindukusch anerkennen? Oder soll man die Islamisten, die das Land zwanzig Jahre lang mit Krieg und Terror überzogen haben, weiterhin ächten und isolieren? Beide Wege bergen beträchtliche Risiken. Der Westen muss deshalb einen Mittelweg suchen.

Von der Realität eingeholt

Bis vor kurzem hatten die USA und die EU noch bekräftigt, sie würden keine Regierung anerkennen, die gewaltsam an die Macht gekommen sei. Dann fiel Kabul innert weniger Tage, und die Realität holte sie ein. Wenn die Politiker in Washington, Brüssel, Paris und Berlin die Afghaninnen und Afghanen nicht völlig im Stich lassen wollen, wie sie bei jeder Gelegenheit beteuern, müssen sie mit den neuen Machthabern reden oder gar kooperieren. Um die Evakuierung der eigenen Bürger zu ermöglichen, hat man dies in den letzten Tagen ja auch bereits getan. WASHINGTON — President Biden on Tuesday forcefully rejected criticism of his decision to end America’s 20-year war in Afghanistan, hailing what he called the “extraordinary success” of the evacuation of Kabul and declaring the end of an era in which the United States uses military power “to remake other countries.”

Speaking to the nation less than a week after a terrorist bombing killed 13 service members at the Kabul airport during a chaotic rush to leave the country, Mr. Biden said the costs to the United States would have been even higher if he had allowed the nation to remain mired for years in a civil war that has dragged on for decades. In blunt terms, he claimed the only alternative to the departure he oversaw was another escalation of the war.

“When I hear we could have, should have continued the so-called low-grade effort in Afghanistan, at low risk to our service members, at low cost,” Mr. Biden said in the 26-minute speech, “I don’t think enough people understand how much we’ve asked of the 1 percent of this country who put that uniform on.”

Short Message: My Apologies

Just a short note to inform you all that I believe that this website has been tampered with today. In modern parlance, I believe it has been hacked.

Several of my posts were tampered with. Some videos posted had either been changed or deleted altogether. One was a cookery demonstration, another was about ‘Hurricane Ida’ in Louisiana and surrounding area, another was a news broadcast–Democracy Now!–and yet another was a wonderful piano concerto by Daniil Trifonov! The concerto of his that I posted was replaced by a very short performance, something like a trailer. I decided to take them all down. I tried replacing them, but that didn’t work.

The other problem I have noticed is that the font color on many of my posts has been changed. Usually, that happens if I have made a very slight error in my HTML. But, upon close inspection of my posts, I found that I had made no such error at all. In fact, I re-posted two of my posts EXACTLY as I had posted them originally. They were exactly as they should be. But in the original position I posted them, they were not. Very odd, I must say.

Putting all these things together, it is difficult not to conclude that someone has been ‘playing around’ in the background. It is difficult not to conclude that homophobia has something to do with this problem.

I find this rather distressing, especially because a lot of work goes into this blog to ensure that the ‘end product’ is aesthetically-pleasing for you all. Then someone comes along and ‘upsets the apple cart’, so to speak. It also makes the posts difficult for some of my visitors to read, I dare say. Naturally, I am truly sorry about that.

In addition, it has become increasingly clear to me that my page views are being tampered with. That is particularly distressing. Just in the last few minutes, I have lost two thousand page views this month. That cannot possibly be the algorithm; rather, that has to be the result of tampering by human hands. This is most distressing. Whoever it is that is playing this silly game would be better served by getting a life and not being so childish and vacuous. In short: Grow up!

I have a fair idea of what and who could be behind this; but one can never be sure – unfortunately.

So please, accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience; and let us hope that it doesn’t happen again.

In der pakistanischen Hauptstadt Islamabad traf Maas am Morgen nacheinander den Armeechef und den Außenminister. Am Nachmittag war eine Begegnung mit Premierminister Imran Khan geplant.

Außenminister Shah Mehmood Qureshi warf dem Westen bei einer Pressekonferenz mit Maas vor, immer und immer wieder geäußerte Warnungen seiner Regierung nicht zugehört zu haben. Stattdessen habe man im Westen „ein falsches Bild gezeichnet über die afghanische Armee, über die Regierung und die afghanischen Institutionen“. NEUE ZÜRCHER ZEITUNG: Im Hinblick auf das Scheitern der Staatenbildung in Afghanistan ist oft die Rede von einer «Niederlage des Westens». Dabei erweisen sich die Passivität der Zentralregierung in Kabul und der nicht konsequent verfolgte zivile Aufbau als grösste Fehler.

Die Initiative zu einer internationalen Anstrengung zum Wiederaufbau Afghanistans kam im Herbst 2001 weder aus dem Weissen Haus noch von Neokonservativen. Und auch die rot-grüne Koalition in Berlin war nicht dafür verantwortlich. Vielmehr kam die Initiative vom damaligen Uno-Generalsekretär Kofi Annan und beruhte auf einem Plan des aus Algerien stammenden Diplomaten Lakhdar Brahimi. Dieser hatte nach Gesprächen mit allen politischen Kräften in Afghanistan (ausser den Taliban) im Oktober 2001 einen Plan entwickelt und diesen Ende November auf einer Konferenz der Vereinten Nationen auf dem Petersberg bei Bonn vorgelegt.

Das daraufhin verabschiedete Dokument der Konferenz übernahm den Plan Brahimis. Gemäss ihm sollte ein Interimspräsident eingesetzt werden, der – alles lief auf den afghanischen Politiker Hamid Karzai hinaus – dafür sorgen sollte, dass eine Versammlung der Stammesführer eine zentrale Staatlichkeit Afghanistans im Rahmen einer neuen Verfassung etabliert. PINK NEWS: Gay Afghan author Nemat Sadat has warned that the Taliban will “weed out and exterminate” the LGBT+ community in Afghanistan following their seismic takeover.

There has been significant concern for the safety and wellbeing of women, girls and LGBT+ people in Afghanistan after the extremist militant group seized power.

The Taliban is expected to enforce its extreme interpretation of Sharia law across Afghanistan, which would see many women, LGBT+ people persecuted. Under it, queer people and women could be sentenced to death.

Speaking to PinkNews, Sadat said there is “no telling” how bad the situation will become for LGBT+ Afghans stuck in the country under Taliban rule.

Sadat and his family left Afghanistan when he was still a baby and they ultimately settled in the United States. In 2012, he returned to his birth city of Kabul to work as a professor of political science at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF).

Widespread anti-LGBT+ sentiment meant that it was impossible for him to settle there. Warlords spread rumours that he was a practicing homosexual. Sadat reacted to the rumours by advocating for LGBT+ rights on campus and in his classroom.

After two decades, America’s last soldier left without pomp, without ceremony, certainly without the grandeur of victory.

Bathed in the green light of a night vision scope, Maj Gen Chris Donahue, the final American pair of “boots on the ground”, walked up the rear ramp of an air force C-17 on Monday night.

In body armour and helmet, the commander of the US army’s 82nd Airborne Division carried his weapon in his right hand, his eyes downcast as his solitary walk ended America’ ill-starred mission in Afghanistan.

At precisely 11.59pm Kabul time, the final of five American C-17s was wheels up from Afghan soil. Donahue sent a final message to his troops: “job well done, I’m proud of you all”.

MOSCOW — Evoking the dark era of Soviet repression, Russian politicians and journalists are being driven into exile in growing numbers.

The steady stream of politically motivated emigration that had accompanied President Vladimir V. Putin’s two-decade rule turned into a torrent this year. Opposition figures, their aides, rights activists and even independent journalists are increasingly being given a simple choice: flee or face prison.

A top ally of the imprisoned opposition leader Aleksei A. Navalny left Russia this month, state media said, adding her to a list of dozens of dissidents and journalists believed to have departed this year. Taken together, experts say, it is the biggest wave of political emigration in Russia’s post-Soviet history.

This year’s forced departures recall a tactic honed by the K.G.B. during the last decades of the Soviet Union, when the secret police would tell some dissidents they could go either west or east — into exile or to a Siberian prison camp. Now, as then, the Kremlin appears to be betting that forcing high-profile critics out of the country is less of a headache than imprisoning them, and that Russians abroad are easy to paint as traitors in cahoots with the West.

THE NEW YORK TIMES: The last vestiges of the American presence in Afghanistan have departed Kabul airport, U.S. military officials said Monday, ending an occupation that resulted in a complete takeover of the country by the adversary the U.S. military spent two decades fighting.

In recent days, American military leaders said the United States would continue evacuation efforts and fully withdraw no later than Aug. 31, the deadline set by President Biden earlier this summer. But those efforts were wrapped up a full day early — just days after an attack on the Kabul airport by Islamic State Khorasankilled 13 U.S. service members and as many as 170 civilians in one of the war’s deadliest days.

Evacuation flights ended on Monday, and the military finished packing everything it intended to fly out of the airport onto transport planes before loading the remaining service members onto planes.

LE FIGARO : DÉCRYPTAGE - Les forces afghanes se sont effondrées face aux talibans. Elles étaient pourtant supérieures en nombre, équipées et entraînées par les États-Unis.

C'est l'un des angles morts de la conquête de l'Afghanistan par les talibans. Comment une armée, officiellement dotée de 300.000 hommes, entraînée, financée à hauteur de 89 milliards de dollars sur les 20 dernières années et équipée par la première puissance mondiale, les États-Unis, a-t-elle bien pu être mise en déroute si aisément? Aux premiers jours d'août 2021, les talibans avaient déjà conquis une part substantielle du territoire afghan, rencontrant peu de résistance. Si la situation était problématique, personne ne s'imaginait alors que le groupe islamiste occuperait 33 des 34 capitales provinciales du pays, dont Kaboul, le 15 août. Durant la guerre civile, ces mêmes insurgés avaient mis deux ans à prendre le pouvoir, entre 1994 et 1996. Cette fois, ils n'ont eu besoin que de deux semaines.

L'explication première vient assurément du fait que les effectifs de l'armée afghane ont été largement gonflés. Plutôt que 300.000 hommes, elle était composée d'un peu moins de 100.000 soldats, selon un rapport du Combating Terrorism Center, de la prestigieuse école militaire de West Point, publié en janvier 2020. Parmi eux, seulement 18.000 étaient placés sous l'autorité du ministère afghan de la Défense. Les analystes militaires estiment en outre que seulement la moitié des membres de l'armée afghane étaient des combattants. Face à 70.000 talibans aguerris et déterminés, le rapport de force paraît donc déséquilibré. Die Inflationsrate in Venezuela steigt weiter an, und kaum jemand bezahlt mehr mit Bargeld. Könnten Kryptowährungen hier bald den Alltag erleichtern? Die venezolanische Zentralbank hat im vergangenen März eine neue Banknote im Wert von 1 Million Bolívares in Umlauf gebracht, um mit der wachsenden Inflation Schritt zu halten. Diese neue Banknote entspricht zurzeit ungefähr 0.30 US-Dollar, und die Inflation beträgt zurzeit 1984 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr (Juli 2020 bis Juli 2021). Wie lange diese neue Note hilfreich sein wird, bleibt also dahingestellt.

Kryptowährungen als neue Möglichkeit

Immer mehr Venezolaner legen jetzt ihre Ersparnisse in Kryptowährungen an, und auch im Alltag kann vermehrt mit Bitcoin oder anderen digitalen Währungen bezahlt werden. Laut der Blockchain-Analysefirma Chainalysis war Venezuela vor kurzem weltweit an dritter Stelle in Bezug auf den täglichen Gebrauch von Kryptowährungen.
