"Dialogue and mutual understanding"

Image hosting by Photobucket

The delectable and extremely elegant Ursula Plassnik, the Foreign Minister for Austria, the European nation which holds the European Presidency for the next six months, has said that the EU will seek "dialogue and mutual understanding" with the Islamic world.

How, pray, can one hold dialogue with a people which is out to destroy Western civilization? How, too, can one have any form of meaningful mutual understanding with a people so sure of its destiny to bring Islam to every corner of the world?

Ursula, it's time to be more realistic and realize that these people are on a mission: The mission of Islamizing the world! So it's time to get tough with them, not go soft on them, as you seem to wish to do. Only recently, you put up a good fight to try and stop Turkey's accession to the EU. You showed your feisty side. Ursula, it's time to show that feisty side again.

These people are not interested in dialogue and mutual understanding; rather, they're interested in having their own way. Muslims must have everything on their terms. If you need proof, read this from the Secretary General of the 'The Organisation of Islamic Countries', (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu:
"What we are looking for is that you take our sensitivities in your definition [of freedom of expression]. If you fail to do that... it will be a problem of credibility and a problem of universality of European values."

Bush suffers from a credibility deficit

To say we are living in difficult times is a gross understatement. In actual fact, we are living in extremely dangerous times! They are dangerous for two main reasons: Our civilization is under attack not only from without but also from within! Indeed, the West is at a crossroads. Our very survival lies in the balance! Either we win this, or our civilization will bite the dust. This reminds me of Churchill’s fine and sage words: Without victory, there is no survival. Let that be realized. No survival. …

The West has been under fire ever since 9/11, and even before that. But we have not risen to the challenges we face. The seriousness of the situation has been magnified manifold by our constant refusal to accept the reality of the challenges we do face.

To win a war, the war has to be defined in clear terms. No wars are won when the enemy is not defined. It is virtually impossible to win a war when a clear line is not drawn in the sand. There must be a clear line of demarcation. We don’t have one. So, as a result, we are fighting a war many are quite unable to understand. No wars are won that way. To win a war, the people, das Volk, the electorate, has to comprehend what the government is doing, comprehend why the war is being waged. It has to understand the objectives of that war. Moreover, it has to understand that sacrifices have to be made for a finite period of time.

Even today, even in these hedonistic times, if the electorate is made to understand that sacrifices have to be made in order to secure ultimate victory over the enemy, if the electorate is made to understand that the very survival of our way of life is at stake, then they will be prepared to make those sacrifices. However, one thing must be realized: No war was ever won without sacrifices!

Unfortunately, George W. Bush has failed to bring the people along with him in his ‘War on Terror’. There is constant bickering, and there are constant internal battles, too. Many people, Republicans and Democrats alike, do not agree with the way the President has waged this war; and in my opinion, with good reason. He has also failed to raise the morale of the people. Raising the morale of the people is extremely important. So important that it was one of Churchill’s trump cards.

For a start, trying to wage a ‘War on Terror’ is like trying to catch flies in a high wind: One minute they are here; another, they are there. Further, they multiply rather readily, too; so when, after great difficulty, a few have been caught, the new ones, younger ones, are around to bother us. So this was his first big mistake: To try and define the enemy as an ugly offshoot from a rather beautiful tree. The tree, in this case, is Islam, of course; and Bush seems convinced that it is a religion of love and peace. He sees the bastardized version of Islam that the ‘Islamists’ practise as a mutation, a sick mutation, from the real creed. Sadly, George W. Bush is greatly mistaken. He neither knows the history of Islam and how it has been spread nor does he understand its true nature!

It is my belief that one of the most important attributes of a leader of any Western country from now on is a thorough understanding of the nature of Islam. Just as Nazism was a huge threat for the free world in the 1930’s and 40’s, and just as communism was a huge threat to us after World War II, so Islam is a huge threat to the free world today. So it is imperative that our leaders know exactly what Islam is, what Islam’s aspirations are, and what are Islam’s means of achieving its goals. Without this profound understanding, we cannot hope to survive. Our civilization will go the way of many before it! It will be snuffed out.

It is a fact of life that what happens in America is of paramount importance to the rest of the free world. Europe and Australasia, for example, take their lead from the American President, even though it may sometimes appear as though they might not. Garbled messages coming out of the White House do not inspire confidence in the rest of the world. The rest of the free world thirsts for a strong US president to give a lead. Unfortunately, George W. Bush has not provided the free world with the lead they so desired.

The US is the beacon of freedom. If its light goes out, it will plunge the world into complete darkness. This is a fact of life.

Seven of the President's main errors of judgment immediately come to mind. They are:
He has failed to understand the true nature of Islam.

He has failed to define the enemy clearly.

He has failed to draw a sharp line of demarcation between the enemy and us. This has been made particularly blurred because he has tried to engage the enemy in this war against themselves. That is never a good strategy. It is a particularly poor strategy with Muslims, because they have such a great sense of loyalty to each other. Indeed, to a Muslim, it is a cardinal sin to go against his brother or sister in Islam!

He has chosen to fight a ‘War on [Islamic] Terror’ – a war which could, and probably will, go on for decades. The people will surely tire of this war, even if they haven’t done so already. It is also a very costly war, because it is a war without end. Waging such a costly war might well bankrupt America. Many wars do bankrupt the nations that wage them. If this happens, the President will have played right into the hands of Osama bin Laden, since one of OBL’s goals was to bankrupt the nation in the first place. If America is bankrupted, it will have to go cap in hand to the rich Arab world for handouts! This will surely be disastrous for the ‘Land of the Free’!

He has chosen to try and bring democracy to the Middle East. This was a particularly grave error of judgment because Islam and democracy are totally and utterly immiscible. The President has repeatedly refused to accept this; but it is a fact. Why are they immiscible? For several reasons: First and foremost among them is the fact that for a democracy to function properly, there simply has to be a strict and clear separation of church and state, a clear separation of the secular from the sacred. The separation of mosque and state is something which the Islamic world does not have (apart, perhaps, in Turkey where it has been kept separate only with the aid of a very strong military), and nor will it ever if Islam survives as a religion in its true form, since Islam rejects the concept of separation - totally! One of the defining characteristics of Islam is that there is to be no separation of politics and religion. The both simply meld into one. This is one of the Prophet Muhammad’s injunctions. How, then, can we hope to bring democracy to them? It goes against the teachings of their Prophet. Further, and very importantly, democracy is considered to be a Western form of government. All things Western are viewed with great suspicion in the Islamic world. But there is one more thing to consider: In a democracy, all power filters up to the leadership from the people via the polls; in a theocracy, the typical and natural form of government for Muslims, all power filters down to the leadership, and further, from Allah and His final Messenger! These circles simply cannot be squared.

Fact is that Iraq is now on the brink of civil war. Even today, the headlines in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Switzerland’s prestigious and extremely unsensational newspaper reads Im Irak droht ein Bürgerkrieg, which loosely translates as ‘Civil looms on the horizon in Iraq’. The BBC, also not known for its sensationalism, also has a story today on the threat of a civil war in Iraq. It’s entitled Iraq's civil war nightmare. If civil war breaks out in Iraq, the President’s foreign policy will be in tatters!

He has failed to give a clear signal to the Islamic world in the ‘cartoon war’ that freedom of speech and freedom of expression are of extreme importance in a free and democratic society. In fact, the White House said very little about it, except to say that it disagreed with the printing of the cartoons. Hence, the President has shown, yet again, that he is willing to appease the Islamic world, probably for the sake of contracts. The West’s insatiable desire for contracts is at variance with its need to survive as a civilization. There comes a point when we have to say: Principles come before contracts; principles come before greed!

One very positive thing can be said about the Islamic world: Muslims put their religious principles above economic considerations. (Does this, perhaps, make them unassailable?) We have seen this to be true over the cartoon controversy. Businesses in many countries in the Islamic world are asking people to boycott Danish products. Many of those businesses must have large stocks of goods from Denmark which they would prefer to let perish rather than to make a buck from their sale. Why? On a point of principle! How many Western businesses would do the same for Jesus? This willingness to sacrifice for their strong beliefs is, of course, a great strength to the Islamic world. It puts power in their elbows!

He has made a grave mistake in pushing for the six ports to fall into the hands of a firm in the UAE. It makes no sense because their loyalty is to their Muslim brothers, not to the infidels! And in any case, even if this firm can be trusted, the American people, by and large, are not in favour of such a move. Indeed, they are deeply suspicious of it, as indeed they should be. It is uncomfortable for them. So this decision can do nothing but further alienate the President from the people, his electorate. Moreover, it is a decision which has GREED written all over it!
Recent developments have done nothing to aid President Bush’s credibility; indeed, they have conspired to detract from it.

There is no doubt that Bush should have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Denmark in its fight for freedom of the press and the freedoms of speech and expression. That he has failed to do so is no testimony to his determination to ensure the survival of the free world. Indeed, it makes a mockery of it.

George Bush should under no circumstances allow the sale of the ports to the UAE. His credibility depends on the sale not going through. How can he expect the people to take his ‘War on Terror’ seriously when they see that he is prepared to take such risks with America’s ports?

If Iraq slips into civil war, it will further dent his popularity and credibility. Indeed, it could be a deathblow to this President, his administration, and any credibility that may remain.

As they say in German, Vorsicht ist die Mutter der Weisheit, or, translated, caution is the mother of wisdom. It would pay President Bush to be more cautious! He can ill afford this credibility deficit. The rest of his term in office depends on it.

Bush's Love Affair with Islam

When Economic Sense And Common Sense Collide

These days in the West, economic sense triumphs over common sense with alarming regularity. No finer example of this can be found than the recent decision here in the United States to give control of six ports to the United Arab Emirates. And this decision at a time of war with the ‘Christian’ West’s mortal enemy: Islam!

On November 6, 2001, when the ‘War on Terror’ was in its infancy, President Bush said : You are either with us or against us in the fight against terror. Indeed, Mr. President! Indeed! So who do you really think the UAE are with? With us infidels? Or, perhaps, with the believers? That means to say, Osama bin Laden and his entourage?

One thing you fail to understand, Mr. President, is that the West, not just the USA, is under attack from Islamic jihad. The jihadists will stop at nothing till they win this war against ’infideldom’. Even if, for one incredible minute, we assume that the intentions of the UAE are good and benign towards the US and its allies, how are you going to be able to ensure that the people given control of the ports won’t be infiltrated by jihadists?

Ports, because of all the containers handled in them, are notoriously difficult to police and control. It would seem that the US is doubling its headache to relinquish control to a company based in the United Arab Emirates. It must surely be tantamount to inviting trouble.

Nobody is trying to say that all people in the UAE are bad people. Far from it. But it must surely be conceded that they are Muslims. On 9/11 America was attacked by Muslims! The jihadists, people who follow the teachings of their prophet to the letter, have stated openly that they wish to destroy the West in general, and the US in particular. You surely cannot be unaware of their objectives, can you?

You stated yesterday that you were trying to conduct US foreign policy by treating the people of the world “fairly”. This is a lofty ideal, Mr. Bush, to be sure. But please don’t forget that your first duty is not to the people of the world, but to the people of the United States, to US citizens. Their safety MUST come first, and it must take the HIGHEST priority.

You would do well to remember Churchill’s words: "The whole history of the world is summed up in the fact that, when nations are strong, they are not always just, and when they wish to be just, they are no longer strong."

One thing the President said yesterday was incomprehensible to me, and certainly insulting to Britain. He asked his opponents to explain why they were opposed to a Middle Eastern firm taking over control of the ports when they did not oppose a British company controlling them. Really, Mr. President! Are you serious?

For a start, if you didn’t know it before, the United Kingdom is the US’s staunchest ally. The British always stand four-square behind the US. The UAE does not. I see that comment as a smack in the teeth for the British. That comment certainly does not pay them any compliment; indeed, it does them a disservice.

If you, Mr. President, really think that placing the control of these six ports in the hands of a Middle Eastern company, indeed any Middle Eastern company, does not pose a greater threat to the security of the US than it does in the hands of a British company, then one can only raise serious questions about your judgment, serious questions about your ability to come to sound conclusions, serious questions about your ability to take sound decisions.

George Bush has gone further, though. He has threatened to veto any law blocking a deal giving an Arab company control of the ports. Veto the law? But why? Why is the President so keen for an Arab company to take control of the ports? To me, it seems suspect that the President should be so keen for control to be handed over to the Arab, Islamic world. One can only ask the following questions: Who stands to gain financially from this? And by how much? Because financial gain by some people, or some companies, must surely be at the root of this! Mega-money must surely be at stake!

But there is one further question I should like answered. It is this: Since when do the Emiratees have the expertise to run six American ports? To run their own country, they have to depend on foreign workers. About 84% of workers in the UAE are foreign workers, and low-paid, Third-world workers at that! So where have they gained all this experience all of a sudden?

In times of war, we cannot be circumspect enough. Common sense must prevail. This, if it goes through, will be a triumph of the power of economics over common sense, the triumph of stupidity over sound judgment. Indeed, this must surely be a fine example of the collision of economic sense with common sense!

Christopher Hitchens: Stand up for Denmark!
Put the case that we knew of a highly paranoid religious cult organization with a secretive leader. Now put the case that this cult, if criticized in the press, would take immediate revenge by kidnapping a child. Put the case that, if the secretive leader were also to be lampooned, two further children would be killed at random. Would the press be guilty of "self-censorship" if it declined to publish anything that would inflame the said cult? Well, yes it would be guilty, but very few people would insist on the full exertion of the First Amendment right. However, the consequences for the cult and its leader would be severe as well. All civilized people would regard it as hateful and dangerous, and steps would be taken to circumscribe its influence, and to ensure that no precedent was set.

The incredible thing about the ongoing Kristallnacht against Denmark (and in some places, against the embassies and citizens of any Scandinavian or even European Union nation) is that it has resulted in, not opprobrium for the religion that perpetrates and excuses it, but increased respectability! A small democratic country with an open society, a system of confessional pluralism, and a free press has been subjected to a fantastic, incredible, organized campaign of lies and hatred and violence, extending to one of the gravest imaginable breaches of international law and civility: the violation of diplomatic immunity. And nobody in authority can be found to state the obvious and the necessary—that we stand with the Danes against this defamation and blackmail and sabotage. Instead, all compassion and concern is apparently to be expended upon those who lit the powder trail, and who yell and scream for joy as the embassies of democracies are put to the torch in the capital cities of miserable, fly-blown dictatorships. Let's be sure we haven't hurt the vandals' feelings.

When Is the Free World Finally Going to Wake Up to Reality?

If this cartoon fiasco has shown us anything, it's shown us that the free world is in grave danger of losing its freedoms; indeed, we will lose our freedoms, one by one, one step at a time, if we don't finally wake up to the reality which is staring us in the face. The reality of Islam, the enemy. Islam is not only knocking at our door, but it has been let in, and it's now trying to destroy us, our civilization, and destroy all we stand for, for its own ultimate supremacy!

Since 9/11, our leaders have been kicking out garbage by the sackful ! They've been busy placating the electorate and appeasing the Muslims, by saying that Islam really is a moderate religion of peace and love. Tosh! Poppycock! Garbage! Baloney! Rubbish!

Islam is nothing of the kind. Islam, if it is anything at all, is a ferocious killer: It's a big huge roaring lion, not a tiny little meowing pussycat!

There is nothing loving or peaceful about Islam. History shows us this is so. To be loving and peaceful is not its nature. Islam is a proselytizing, conquering, bloodthirsty religion; and in the same way that a Muslim has to submit totally to Allah, we, the conquered, will have to submit to the will of the Muslim, too!

Till now, our politicians, with very few exceptions, have been totally unwilling to admit the truth: That Islam is the problem we face; Islam is the enemy.

As I was born after the end of World War II, I have witnessed nothing like this before in my lifetime. The West, though it is not yet willing to admit it, is in crisis. This crisis is similar to the crisis of the Thirties. The crisis of the Thirties was caused by the unrelenting rise of Nazi Germany, profoundly anti-Semitic, and its aggressive ambitions to dominate the world. This crisis is caused by the unrelenting rise of the Muslim world, also profoundly anti-Semitic, and its aggressive ambitions to dominate the world! This is déjà vu! We've been here before. We've seen it before. We've experienced it all before. Yet, seemingly, we have learnt nothing!

Isn't it peculiar: In the same way that people during the Thirties were reluctant to face up to the inevitability of war with Nazi Germany, so people today are every bit as reluctant to face up to the inevitability of war with Islam. Indeed, it is very difficult to see how war can be avoided if we wish to maintain our free way of life. Why? Because Muslims will not give an inch. They just will not budge. They have come to the West and demand that we change to accommodate them. This is an outrage! Outrageous behaviour often leads to outrageous outcomes. Beware!

There will be a big difference between the war we had to endure with Nazi Germany and this war if it comes about: That war was an inter-national war. The war we shall have to endure with Islam will be scattered all over the world, because Muslims are to be found all over the world. So we could very well end up fighting a civil war. In any case, it will be a nasty, bloody conflict. And remember this: When we do start to fight, all the Muslims living in the West will have their first loyalty, nay one could say only loyalty, to the Ummah. This war, ladies and gentlemen, will be brutal indeed! There is no war worse than a holy war!

During the 'Cold War', people used to speak of "reds under the bed" - the so-called fifth column within. During this 'War on Terror', people could easily start speaking of the "greens under the burqah"! But this war needs to be re-named. Our unwillingness to call it by its rightful name is tying our hands behind our backs.

It really is high time Bush and Blair, and all the other leaders here in the free world, woke up to the reality of the situation. It's already five to midnight, and we haven't identified the enemy yet! When are we finally going to wake up?

Book Review

I have just received a new review of my book, The Dawning of a New Dark Age. Please allow me to share it with you.
I have just read Mark Alexander’s book, The Dawning of a New Dark Age. In light of the recent row over the cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed, the book is a “must read”. This book tells why we are experiencing such problems with Islam today. It makes sense of the brouhaha. Further, it is written for readers who want to grasp the essentials of Islam in short order. Mark’s writing is clear, straightforward, goes right to the key issues, and beyond that it is frighteningly prophetic! - Dr. George, MA

Expel the MUSLIMS! Expel them NOW!

It is time, nay high time, to expel the Muslims within our Western societies. Time is not on our side. We have to act NOW! It's the most sensible thing to do, it's the wisest thing to do, and it's the only peaceful option for us. It's also the gentle option, since it is far gentler to expel them in an orderly fashion than it is to let the whole society spiral down into civil war. For civil war will surely ensue if we do nothing.

Muslims will not integrate. This is a proven fact. But more than this: They want to Islamize the West. This is TOO much. The people should not have to tolerate this; and louder the calls will grow! Read these shocking articles from the Telegraph.

Is the BBC's fixated on all things Islamic?

At the very time the West is having so much trouble with the Islamic world, should the BBC be using taxpayers' money (paid to them in the form of a licence fee) to promote Islam and all things Islamic?

Do you think that the BBC should be focusing on Islam as they do? After all, they don’t think have a section entitled An in depth look at Jews in Europe. Nor, to my knowledge, do they have a section entitled An in depth look at Christians in Europe.

I am of the opinion that my licence fee – which I have to pay by law for the services of the BBC – should not be put to such uses. The BBC should not be encouraging the growth of Islam in Europe.

Something Rotten in the West!

About twenty years ago, after having started to discover the religion of Islam, and having come to the realization that this religion would be a growing danger to the West because of the increasing number of immigrants from Muslim countries, I started to warn the people close to me about the dangers of Islam to our free and liberal civilization, warn people about the immiscibility of these two diametrically-opposed political systems. In large part, my warnings fell on deaf ears. People were too busy with their own lives to pay much attention. They listened, but thought that what I was saying was far-fetched. Those people now know different.

About twenty years later, the nightmare scenario is playing out on the world stage: We have been under attack from the Islamic jihad for several years now; Muslims are gaining power all over the West, even in small countries such as Denmark; a ‘cartoon war’ is raging; our freedoms of speech and expression, freedoms which underpin the liberal, democratic West, are under attack from all Muslim quarters – newspaper editors are losing their positions for publishing the caricatures of Muhammad, newspapers are being sued because of them, weblogs are being censored, and there are calls from imams and Muslim leaders for us to curtail our freedom of the press.

This is an outrage! Millions of people have died fighting in wars – especially the Great War (1914 – 1918) and World War II (1939 – 1945) – so that we, at least until now, have been able to enjoy the free and liberal Western lifestyle. Yet our leaders are doing nothing about this outrage.

Our newspapers here in the United States and there in the United Kingdom have not yet had the courage to publish the cartoons of the Muslims’ prophet, often citing that it is not in the public interest to do so. This, of course, is baloney!

Only last night on Fox News, the Bloviator, Bill O’Reilly, said that it was not in the public interest to show the cartoons. Mr. O’Reilly! Who are you trying to kid? Does this decision, perchance, have anything to do with Al Waleed’s buying up a significant number of shares in Fox News?

I’ll tell you why you should show those cartoons. You should show them in defiance of the Islamofascists, in defiance of the Islamic world, in defiance of all intimidation by Muslim groups. You need to stand up for the still free West, stand up for the free press. If you did this, then you’d really be able to bloviate; and with justification.

This goes not only for Bill O’Reilly and his show, but also for all the editors of US and UK newspapers. Stand up for our right to express ourselves freely, stand up for the Danes, who have had the courage to uphold their right to freedom of expression in Denmark; and against all odds, losing the country gazillions in lost contracts with the Middle East.

It has been somewhat encouraging that some French, German, Italian and Spanish newspapers have stepped up to the plate and have published them. Die Welt, for example, has had the courage to re-print them. Such papers have found themselves almost alone in the newspaper-publishing world, though. The others have been yellow!

The Neue Zürcher Zeitung, in an editorial some days ago, lauded the US and UK newspapers for not having re-printed the cartoons, saying that it showed restraint.

I have rarely had to take issue with any editorial I have ever read in this newspaper before, but that editorial is one with which I do have to take issue. This, to me, shows less restraint than it shows a fear of losing contracts with the Middle East. Both the US and the UK have billions and billions of dollars’ worth of contracts with the Islamic Middle East. Their decision not to publish the cartoons surely showed that they put contracts ahead of the principles of freedom and democracy! It was craven behaviour from a craven press!

The simple question to ask is this: Do we have a free press, or do we not? Free speech and freedom of expression are totally and utterly indivisible. You are either free to express yourself, or you are not. There is no halfway house.

It seems to me that we are fast losing these freedoms; and the West is not putting up much of a fight. Our courageous forefathers must be turning in their graves! Many of them must also be very angry for they have died fighting for liberty in vain!

Many things are rotten in the West these days. We have rotten leadership: Only the few are willing to stand up for important principles, the principles that are the bedrock of Western civilization! We have Islam in our midst: A powerful religion which is growing ever more powerful because it has been misnamed a religion, whereas, in actual fact, it is every bit as much a political system as it is a faith. We have the liberal left: A powerful anti-everything-Western movement, which seems to be hell-bent on bringing down the West and all it stands for. We have ignorance about Islam in the electorate as well as in our leadership: Ignorance is weakness; knowledge, power! We lack the stomach for a confrontation: We appear to prefer to give our Western culture away rather than stand up and fight for what we have to if the world isn’t to be plunged into the darkness that is Islam!

Time is running out. We need to address these problems head on. Sweeping them under the carpet just will not do. These problems are not going to go away; on the contrary, they are going to get worse, and worse at a galloping pace. Our problems with Islam are multiplying by the day. The old saying, A stitch in time, saves nine is as valid today as it ever was.

Why didn’t the President stand up for Denmark, unequivocally stating that it is our inalienable right to publish these cartoons? Is he jelly-bellied, or what? And what about the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom? Why didn’t he do something? What is he doing with his time, except over-regulating the British? What is he doing save for fiddling while Rome burns?

The encroachment of Islam on our wonderful and free civilization needs to be thwarted, and thwarted NOW! Time is not on our side. Muslims are rapidly gaining power here in the West. If it keeps going on like this, they will soon be our masters, and we, their underdogs. We shall be living the life of the dhimmi. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!

Our beloved Western civilization is suffering from cachexia. It has become rotten at the core, because we have allowed this cancer to metastasize. There is only one thing to do with a rotten apple, and that is throw it away. There is also only one thing to do with cancer, and that is zap it!

The New Dark Age appears already to have dawned. We must now ask ourselves: What are we going to do about it?

In point of fact there isn't much we can do about it save go to war! We have but TWO options: either we cave in to their demands which will lead to subjugation, or we step up to the plate and fight – wage war in the name of freedom! Not just freedom of expression, but freedom in its entirety. If we value our superior heritage, the latter will be our ONLY option. As Churchill said:
We Shall Fight them on the beaches (extract) June 4th 1940

"... I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Island home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone.

At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of His Majesty's Government-every man of them. That is the will of Parliament and the nation.

The British Empire and the French Republic, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their native soil, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength.

Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old." One Canadian newspaper fighting for its life to support our freedoms

I received this email this morning from the Editor of the Western Standard, asking for support. Surprise! Surprise! Muslims are going to try and sue the newspaper for publishing the cartoons! The Western Standard is fighting for its life, as even the news stands in Canada are not stocking the newspaper anymore because they are afraid to offend the Muslims!

Here is the letter I received from the Editor, Ezra Levant. Please support this newspaper in any way you can, even if it's only by email. It deserves our support.
Dear Western Standard reader,

By now you have probably heard about our decision to publish the Danish cartoons -- those same cartoons that have been the excuse for riots around the world.

We believe that reprinting the cartoons is essential to properly telling that news story, which is why we did it. We also published them as a symbol of our freedom of the press, and in defiance of those around the world who would censor us through threats of violence.

I've never been more proud of our magazine.

Not everyone is happy with us, of course. A Calgary Muslim leader has reported us to the police, trying to get them to charge me with hate crimes. He has also filed a complaint against us with the human rights commission on the same grounds. Ironically, he has called our freedom of the press "intellectual terrorism".

Those are nuisance suits, of course. But the idea is to cost us money and time, break our spirit, erode our freedom of speech, and teach a lesson to all other media: that anyone who doesn't censor themselves will be made to wish they did.

The threats are working. Already, many Canadian magazine retailers who normally carry the Western Standard have caved in, announcing -- even before they see our new issue -- that they won't put us on their shelves. Again, the purpose of the censors is obvious: hurt our magazine economically, and make an example of us as a warning to all other media.

That's why I'm writing to you today: to ask for your help. Please do three things:

1. Let me know how you feel.

If you support our magazine's decision, let me know. Send me an e-mail to info@westernstandard.ca and I'll share it with the rest of our staff, to help buoy their spirits as we face this hurricane, to let them know we're not alone.

2. Encourage your local retailer to stock the Western Standard

Magazine retailers need to know that you value freedom of the press and your freedom to make up your own mind, and to not be censored by them or anyone else. Ask them to stock the magazine, or even to order it in just for you. You'll not only help us survive the boycott, but you'll put some steel in the spine of your local retailer.

3. Help us out directly.

If you're not yet a subscriber, now's the time to sign up -- a subscription is 37% cheaper than buying the magazine at the newsstand, and the money goes directly to us. If you're already a subscriber, consider renewing your subscription today, or extending your subscription, or even joining one of our clubs for enthusiasts by becoming a Sustaining Subscriber or a member of the Publisher's Circle.

You can find out more and do all of that right online, at HERE

It's fast, easy and secure -- and it helps us stay strong, and keep growing.

When we started the Western Standard nearly two years ago, I never imagined that we would have been at the center of a fight for our culture's basic freedoms -- or that the rest of Canada's media would be so silent, leaving us to fight this fight by ourselves.

But we're not all by ourselves. We have you.

Thank you for your help -- I look forward to your e-mails.

Yours truly,

Ezra Levant

This was my reply to Ezra Levant:
Dear Ezra Levant,

I received your email this morning, describing the harassment you are suffering at the hands of Muslims who are trying to kill free speech and freedom of expression in Canada. This is reprehensible indeed.

It is also reprehensible that your news media outlets in Canada are so cowardly as not to stock your newspaper. Indeed, in my opinion, this is not only a blatant act of cowardice, but a blatant act of dhimmitude also!

You say you have never been so proud of your newspaper. So you should feel. You have every right to feel proud. Your newspaper is showing the spunk to stand up for our liberty when larger ones - the ones that should have joined the all-out fight weeks ago - have just caved in and sucked up. Look at the US press! How many US newspapers published them? Sadly, to my knowledge just ONE! Then look at the UK press! How many UK newspapers published them? To my knowledge NONE!

I am the author of the book, 'The Dawning of a New Dark Age: A Collection of Essays on Islam'. If I may say it: I have seen these problems coming for twenty years, or more. Then, only a few people would listen.

I have also got a weblog to promote my book. It's to be found at: Librabunda.blogspot.com

The title of the blog is 'A New Dark Age Is Dawning'. I, too, published the cartoons, but they were censored by Photobucket.com! I shall publish them again soon.

In support of your plight, I should like to re-publish this email on my weblog. I get lots of visitors from all around the world, from Alaska to New Zealand, and from South America to the Russian Federation. I should like to let my visitors know exactly what is going on in 'liberal' Canada. I trust that you are happy for me to do this.

I should like to take this opportunity to wish you all the luck in the world with your struggle for freedom of expression. Bon chance! I and my visitors are with you all the way.

Sincerely,

Mark Alexander

Author: 'The Dawning of a New Dark Age'
Again, please help the Western Standar in any way you can. In doing so, you will be helping the cause of free speech and free expression, and you will be helping to keep the darkness that is Islam at bay.

I SHOULD LIKE TO DRAW YOUR ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE BEEN CENSORED AGAIN! PLEASE LOOK TO THE RIGHT, AT THE SIDEBAR, AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THE CARTOON OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD, THE ONE SHOWING HIM WITH A BOMB IN HIS TURBAN, HAS BEEN REPLACED BY ANOTHER IMAGE - AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR 'PICTIGER.COM'. FIRST I WAS CENSORED BY PHOTOBUCKET.COM; NOW I HAVE BEEN CENSORED BY PICTIGER.COM!

THIS IS A VERY TROUBLING DEVELOPMENT, FOR IT SHOWS JUST HOW FAR DOWN THE ROAD OF DHIMMITUDE WE HAVE ALREADY COME. WE ALL NEED TO BOYCOTT THESE TWO IMAGE HOSTING COMPANIES.

Some welcome anti-dhimmitude from the Italians
Roberto Calderoli, a member of the anti-immigrant Northern League party, is minister without portfolio for institutional reform and devolution.

The minister is quoted as saying: "I've had T-shirts made with the cartoons that have upset Islam and I shall start wearing them today."

He added that it was "time to put an end to this story that we need to dialogue with these people", and asked: "What have we become, the civilisation of melted butter?"
His T-shirts are to be distributed in Italy depicting the Prophet Muhammad!

Yet more evidence of that New Dark Age

The SOCIALIST government of the United Kingdom under the misguided leadership of Tony Blair has voted to ban smoking in all public places. The 'Nanny State' has just increased its powers under 'the BANNING Prime Minister'!

How long will it be before the drinking of alcohol in all public places, which naturally offends Muslims, will also be banned? This is grist to the Islamic mill!

This is a disgraceful act by a government which deals in trivialities and not in the hard questions of the day. The hard question of the day, Mr Prime Minister, if you didn't already know it, is the growth of Islam in our country, not smoking!

When are you going to step down, Tony? The sooner the better! If your removal expenses are a problem, then I am sure there is someone out there, someone benevolent, willing to pick up the tab!

Read all about it HERE.

CENSORSHIP!

WE IN THE WEST HAVE ENTERED THE AGE OF CENSORSHIP! MUSLIMS HAVE COME TO LIVE HERE AMONGST US, THEY REFUSE TO INTEGRATE WITH US AND LIVE ACCORDING TO OUR RULES AND REGULATIONS. INSTEAD, INITIALLY, THEY WISH TO INTRODUCE ISLAM-FRIENDLY LAWS, AND THEN THERE WILL BE ONE BIG PUSH TO INTRODUCE SHARIAH LAW. BUT DON'T YOU FORGET THIS: THEY DEMAND TO BE RESPECTED! WE MUST ALL NOW GIVE UP OUR FREE SPEECH AND FREE EXPRESSION - A RIGHT WHICH MILLIONS HAVE DIED FOR SO THAT WE MAY ENJOY THE PRIVILEGES - TO REVERE THEIR PROPHET MUHAMMAD AND HIS BENIGHTED RULES!

BY THE WAY, MANY OF THE CARTOONS OF THE PROPHET WERE ERASED AS WELL AS THE IMAGE ABOVE (NOT OF THE PROPHET - IT WAS AN IMAGE OF A MUSLIM CALLING FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT RESPECT ISLAM TO BE BEHEADED!), AND AS WELL AS THE CARTOON OF MUHAMMAD WITH A TURBAN SHAPED LIKE A BOMB THAT HAD BEEN PLACED IN THE SIDEBAR, AND ALL WERE REPLACED BY A BANNER SIMILAR TO THE ONE ABOVE. WHY HAS PHOTOBUCKET CENSORED THIS SITE SO HEAVILY, I WONDER? IS IT, PERHAPS, BECAUSE I AM STATING THE TRUTH ABOUT ISLAM?

ONE CAN BUT ASK ONESELF IF THIS REACTION IS BECAUSE OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, BECAUSE OF FEAR, OR SIMPLY BECAUSE THE COMPANY IS OWNED, OR PARTLY-OWNED, BY MUSLIMS. ARE THE TENTACLES OF ARAB MONEY CLOSING IN ON THE WEST, PERCHANCE? ARE WE ALREADY REAPING WHAT WE HAVE SOWN?

FEAR NOT! I SHALL FIND ANOTHER WAY TO BRING YOU THE CARTOONS OF THE PROPHET. IN THE MEANTIME, IF YOU WISH TO VIEW THEM, PLEASE CLICK HERE: MO PARODY.

The storm clouds are gathering!

The clash of civilizations is well under way. And the storm clouds are gathering apace. A major conflagration looks a distinct possibility now. The western world's experimentation with political correctness and multiculturalism is now looking decidedly jaded. The liberals who brought these erroneous concepts to the fore have just about all gone back into the woodwork! Tough, right-thinking men and women will be left to sort out the destruction their ridiculous notions have wrought. We find a solution to this problem of Islam, or else our wonderful and superior civilization is doomed!

It has been reported on the BBC website today that thousands have joined in pro-Islam protests in London. Switzerland's Neue Zürcher Zeitung reports that a thousand or so Muslims have protested in Bern. And we allow these protests to take place! Protests to make Westerners respect their prophet. A prophet who, in the minds of many, should be called the Antichrist!

My first question here is this: How many of these protesters are actually legal immigrants to the United Kingdom? I would ask a similar question about the protesters taking part in demonstrations in Europe. If they are illegal immigrants, why do we have to tolerate them protesting on our streets? Why aren't they deported forthwith? Illegal immigrants should be deported en masse! They have no right to be here. We therefore have no obligation to tolerate their protestations.

The West - that means all Western countries in Europe, the United States, Australia and New Zealand, and a few others besides - have Judeo-Christian values as the bedrock of their democracies. Islamic values do not form part of that bedrock. Indeed, Islamic values cannot play any part in the formation of democracy, since they are anathema to it.

Islam is a totalitarian political system clothed in a deity, and it remains an enigma to many a Westerner. The fact that Islam recognizes no separation of the political from the sacred is proof positive, if indeed any proof were needed, that it cannot in any way function or co-exist in a modern, liberal democracy. Its existence here in the West will thwart our advance in every way it can. The thrust of Islamic thinking is to draw society back to a bygone age - an unenlightened age. Islam has no place in the modern world. Period! This cartoon war should form part of the proof of this indisputable fact.

Islam is a backward, regressive religion suitable only for the mediaeval mindset. It is full of superstition. Muslims believe in the wrath of Allah. It reminds me of when my grandmother used to say to me that a thunderclap was God showing his anger with me for being naughty! My grandmother, of course, was joking; Muslims, however, actually believe such ridiculous things. This sort of thinking is, indeed, quite prevalent in the minds of Muslims. If you don't believe me, remember the nonsense that came out of the mouths of imams when the tsunami struck!

Why are they protesting? They say it's because of the perceived insult to their prophet. But don't believe that that is the only reason for their protestations. They also want to bring the West down and supplant our democracies with a caliphate. If we do not wake up to the harsh realities of their aspirations, and do something about them, they might well succeed!

But let's return to this demand for respect for their prophet. Respect is a two-way thing. Why should we respect their prophet when we don't even believe in him? To most Westerners he was a false prophet anyway! Moreover, how much respect does a Muslim show for a Jew, a Christian, a Buddhist, or an atheist? The answer is simple: They show none!

Their hatred of the Jews, for example, is well-documented. They hate the Jews with a passion! They call them apes and swine! Oh, aren't these Muslims such nice, tolerant, benevolent, respectful people? And how much respect do they show non-believers in their backward faith? The so-called infidels or kuffar? Frankly, I find it an afront to my person to be called a kafir; but I wouldn't go and burn down embassies because of the afront all the same. But how much respect does the Muslim show for you and me when he calls us this name? Answer: None!

Further, what respect did Saudis show me when I worked in the Gulf? I couldn't take even a Bible into their country. People who tried to smuggle one in, when caught, were punished if they were unlucky; if they were lucky, their Bible would be snatched from the suitcase and thrown to the ground as though it were a piece of garbage! Oh, by the way, that was the Saudis showing respect for my religion! They are such kind, respectful people!

Then, what about the fact that when a Christian arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he was prohibited from praying to God in the Christian manner. People who defied the order could be whipped! Oh, by the way, that was the Saudi Muslim showing respect for Christians!

It is utterly disgraceful that our politicians and leaders are too weak and mealy-mouthed to point these things out to these barbarians! For barbarians they are, and barbarians they will be! They behave like savages (witness the beheadings) and come here to the West and demand our respect! That's rich! To use Princess Anne's colourful phrase: "Naff off"!

Respect has to be mutual. But to a Muslim it's a one-way street. I would say that Muslims living in the West have a choice: Behave like us and accept our mores and culture, or get out! Behave like us! Dress like us! Integrate with us! They have come here to get the best out of our superior culture. If they have noticed that they don't like it here after all, then they are free to leave. There are many good, international airports within easy reach of all major cities in the West. It's high time they found out where they are located!

The snowball keeps on rolling and keeps on getting larger and larger!

The West has got itself into a fine mess with Islam!. Let’s face it! We’re in a fix with it! In a hole! But we keep on digging away, and the hole is getting ever bigger.

The problem is crystal clear: We inhabit a very different world from Muslims. Ours is one of liberty and democracy. We are free to choose our religion and free not to choose one if we so wish. We are also free to live our lives as we see fit. Muslims, however, inhabit a world that contrasts sharply with ours. They are not free to choose their religion; and they are certainly not free to reject religion. The rejection of Islam – apostasy – is punishable by death in most Islamic countries. Apostates are unceremoniously killed! Nor are Muslims free to live how they wish. Everything is either prescribed or proscribed for them, according to the dictates of their prophet, the Prophet Muhammad.

The Western way of life is anathema to Muslims; yet President Bush thought he could bring democracy to them. This was a foolish idea from the beginning. No democracy can ever be brought to a Muslim nation. Islam and democracy are simply totally incompatible. You cannot have an Islamic democracy. This is an oxymoron. Democracy, by definition, holds to a separation of church and state. Islam does not allow for any separation of mosque and state. So to talk of Islamic democracy is totally ridiculous! It’s like saying you can vote for any candidate as long as he is a devout Muslim! How ridiculous is that!

I have said all along, and I shall say it again: It would have been far better to safeguard our own democracies at home rather than try and bring democracy to Muslims. First of all, it cannot be done; secondly, they don’t want it anyway even if it could be. Democracy to a Muslim is symbolic of the ‘Christian’ West – their historic arch-enemy! They view our attempt to bring democracy to them as a form of Western imperialism; and they don’t want it!

But I tell you now: Most Westerners do want democracy! Sadly, however, we are losing it because of our appeasement of Muslims and the Islamic world; and we don’t want that!

The West has been sent into crisis since 9/11. It’s a crisis that has been totally mis-managed. Why? Because our leaders lack the courage to take the necessary bold steps to stop the advance and furtherance of Islam in the West, because our leaders are largely ignorant of the religion of Islam (they call it a ‘religion of love and peace’ whereas in actual fact it is anything but loving or peaceful), and because our leaders have absolutely no understanding of how to deal with Muslims and the Islamic world.

Ever since 9/11, President Bush and his administration, as well as Blair and his, have been trotting around the world stage making allowances for Muslims and apologizing for them and their religion. This was totally wrong! It was a flawed strategy from the start. The result of their way of dealing with Islam is that it has landed us in a fine mess. And such a fine kettle of fish it is!

The Islamic world should have been put on the defensive from the beginning. After all, it was the Islamic world that committed the atrocity. By letting them off the hook, we have emboldened them; and their demands have grown ever greater ever since. The latest one is that they want us to relinquish our free press, our free speech, and our free expression so that their prophet is protected from criticism. This is absurd!

Over the centuries, millions of people have died for the freedoms we Westerners enjoy today. We should relinquish none of them! In any case, freedom of speech and freedom of expression are indivisible. There’s no such thing as partial free speech. You either have it, or you don’t. Period!

The Islamic world is a backward one. Illiteracy rates are high. This, of course, explains their unenlightened understanding of the world, their lack of sophistication, their lack of appreciation of the finer things of life; and their ‘holding on for grim death’ to their past. But the more they hold on to their past, the less likely they are to prosper and advance.

Because we have allowed so many Muslims into the West to satisfy the needs of business and commerce, it is likely that they will drag us down with them into the abyss, into the dark, superstitious world they inhabit.

The West needs to wake up NOW. We all need to open our eyes and see what is happening around us. We need to put a stop to this very worrying trend. Whatever steps are necessary to stop the approaching wave of darkness breaking around us, we have to take. Our children will not thank us if we do not.

The difficulties we are in with Islam can be likened to a snowball rolling down a steep hillside: the further it rolls, the more snow it gathers and the bigger it gets. The bigger it grows, and the faster it rolls, the bigger will be the ultimate disaster! That 'new dark age really is dawning!

Cartoons banned in Malaysia

Gwladys Fouché, in her article in The Guardian, informs us of the latest ban on the caricatures of Muhammad.
The Malaysian government has slapped a blanket ban on distributing and possessing the cartoons of the prophet Muhammad that have sparked furore across the Muslim world.

It is now forbidden for anyone in the majority Muslim country to publish, import, produce, manufacture, circulate, distribute or possess the caricatures.
Read it all HERE.

Saudi Arabia can stop buying Danish produce, but...

Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries are free to remove their economic support of Denmark in this form of economic warfare. This is still a free world. They can do it. But they should just remember this: The West is also free to remove its support of Saudi Arabia!

Without the support of the West to prop up the shaky As-Saud dynasty, then it is questionable how long it will stay in power!

How would they feel if some enterprising techie started producing banners for cyberspace, urging the withdrawal of support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?

British Muslim scholars call for a change in the law to stop people drawing caricatures of the ‘Holy’ Prophet Muhammad!

British Muslim scholars have met in Birmingham to discuss the controversy over the caricatures of Muhammad and ask for a change in the law to prevent the publication of insulting pictures of the prophet!

The Times: Rice accuses Iran and Syria of incitement over cartoons

It is to be hoped that the British government will keep its nerve and refuse to change the law to satisfy Muslim demands. Millions have died in the cause of liberty in the past century. Now these backward people wish to come here to destroy those freedoms.

I would say there is one simple solution to this: Muslims need to be told that they are free to leave. Nobody is holding them here against their wishes.

We have our culture and they’ve got theirs. This is our country; so they must abide by our laws, and live according to the rules and mores of our culture.

The people who love to hate the Jews

According to a report on the BBC: Iran paper seeks cartoon revenge.

Let them have their tasteless fun! Let us not react. We won't. Nor will the Jews. You won't find Jews burning down embassies. That's not their nature. They have a higher calling.

That an Iranian newspaper can hold a contest for cartoons about the Holocaust in retaliation against the publication of the Prophet Muhammad caricatures shows clearly the type of people we are dealing with. The hatred that Muslims feel for the Jews can only be viewed as a pathological sickness, and unhealthy compulsion. Such people are to be pitied.

No sane person could compare the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad with the publication of cartoons depicting the Holocaust: the one is light-hearted; the other is deadly serious. Millions of Jews perished in the Holocaust, and this should never be forgotten. Why? Because it shows how low humans can stoop, shows how vile can be their actions. The Holocaust is proof of man's ability to show no compassion or mercy. To make fun of that is indeed sick!

Simply saying that the majority of Muslims are moderate won’t make it so

Unfortunately, no amount of stating that ‘Islam is a noble, moderate religion of love and peace and tolerance’ will change the nature of Islam.

It is a sad fact of life, as much as we moderate people would wish otherwise, that Islam is neither moderate nor loving nor peaceful nor tolerant. Indeed, the opposite is the case. Islam is a religion of extremes. History shows us this.

We come to know a man not by what he says, but by what he does. It is deeds which count, not words.

This interaction between Tony Blair and David Cameron in the House of Commons yesterday, from The Daily Telegraph:
Mr Cameron said: "The demonstrations in London over the weekend caused widespread concern.
"Muslims contribute an enormous amount to this country and for the overwhelming majority Islam is a religion of peace.
"Do you agree with me that in all of this there is a danger that their voice will be drowned out?"
Mr Blair said: "I hope very much that the voice of the moderate majority is not drowned out.
"The fact is the vast majority of people in the Muslim community across the Muslim world totally abhor acts of terrorism or those who incite terrorism or glorify terrorism.
Could someone explain to me exactly what this “enormous contribution” is? I really would like to know. I’m always ready and willing to be enlightened.

Then, can Mr. Cameron prove to us that “for the overwhelming majority [,] Islam is a religion of peace"? Where is the evidence for this bold assertion? It seems to me that the evidence proves the opposite!

"The fact is the vast majority of people in the Muslim community across the Muslim world totally abhor acts of terrorism or those who incite terrorism or glorify terrorism." Where is the evidence that the vast majority of Muslims abhor acts of terrorism? Or abhor those who glorify it? Simply put: I would like the evidence to back up this statement. Let's get scientific here! We need proof, proof, and more proof! Messrs Blair and Cameron: Substantiate your claims!

There are of course some moderate Muslims, especially ones who are nominally Muslim. But I believe that it would be difficult for both Mr. Blair and Mr. Cameron to prove to us that the vast majority of Muslims are moderate.

Where have these two politicians had their experience of Muslims? Have they ever lived and worked in the Middle East, for example? Have they ever mixed with ordinary Muslims? Have they mixed with the so-called working man in the Islamic world? I believe I am right in saying they haven't!

We are on dangerous ground if we think we can judge a people by the top echelons of any society. Mixing with kings and princes and rich oil sheikhs is hardly likely to give anyone a clear picture of the true nature of Islam!

I eagerly await the evidence of this moderation. Simply saying that the majority of Muslims are moderate won't make it so. No more than one's ugly daughter will grow more beautiful by repeatedly saying she is! If the Muslim community wishes to be thought of as moderate, then I would suggest that they had better start today behaving moderately. Let them show us this moderation! Let them prove it to us!

This soft approach to militant Muslims is a gift to the far Right
By Simon Heffer in The Daily Telegraph
Yesterday in Afghanistan the worldwide mob engaging in an engineered protest about the Danish cartoons claimed its first lives. Elsewhere, as extremists continue to burn flags and embassies, and demand executions, exterminations and beheadings because of the mocking of their religion and their prophet, the British Government lurches slowly towards a realisation that its response to militant Islam during these frightening events might just have been incoherent and casual.

Monday, February 06, 2006

Due to recent events in the Islamic world apropos of the furore of the publication of the caricatures of Prophet Muhammad, I believe it is appropriate to re-post this article. The fuss made by the mobs in the street, and the pronouncements made by many leaders, show that to believe that democracy can ever be brought to the Islamic world is but an illusion, a pipe-dream based on hope rather than reality. ISLAM AND DEMOCRACY JUST DO NOT MIX!

Islam: The enemy of democracy and freedom!

Until 9/11, the western world was largely ignorant of the religion of Islam, of its goals, of its aspirations. Indeed, even since 9/11, most people, and that includes our politicians, would not score very highly in a test of their knowledge on the subject. It should be obvious to all thinking people that our politicians are actually unaware, dare I say blind, to the dangers that Islam will increasingly cause us. It is truly a case of the blind leading the blind! That means to say, uninformed and unthinking politicians leading an ill-informed electorate. But folks, this is what we have right now. The same can hardly be said of Muslims in the Islamic world, though; for their knowledge of Christianity far surpasses - even though much of their knowledge is quite distorted - any knowledge of Islam by the man in the street in the West.

As the old saying goes, knowledge is power. But what we often don't hear uttered is its converse: Ignorance is weakness!

The West is far weaker than it need be because of this ignorance of Islam, since Islam is our greatest enemy. The greatest enemy since Nazism and communism. I'll give you some good reasons why this is so. And none of them - absolutely none of them - are based on hatred!

Islam is the enemy of the West for a plethora of good, solid reasons, and if we wish to survive as a civilization, we are going to have to bite the bullet and deal, head on, with the issues these reasons raise. Let us begin...

First and foremost, we are dealing with a religion which does not recognize any separation of politics and religion, any separation of the political from the spiritual. For Muslims, life is one coherent whole: the political and spiritual both meld into one. This has always been so, and always will be. No re-classification of the religion into two separate parts is possible because of Islam's very nature.

In Islam, all power rests with Allah, the god of Muslims. The Qur'an, their holy book, is always taken literally. Those words are considered to be the actual words of Allah. Therefore, none of these words can be changed, for to change any of them would be tantamount to tampering with Allah's words. This would be a grave sin in their eyes.

For the same reason that the words contained in the Qur'an cannot be changed, they cannot, therefore, be re-interpreted either. So do not hold your breath for any kind of reformation in this religion, because it ain't gonna happen!

In Islam, all power rests with Allah, and it filters down via his vice-gerents on earth to the people. Hence the great desire among Muslims to restore the caliphate. Contrast this with the Western model of government!

In the West, the ideal political system is democracy. In democracy, all power rests with the people, and they exercise that power at the polls. In a democracy, all power filters in the opposite direction from Islam. In democracy it filters up; in Islam, down! Herein lies the greatest barrier to the miscibility of the two worlds: the western world and the Islamic world!

Without digressing too much here, I should like to add that this is the main reason why George W Bush and Blair's venture into Iraq to bring democracy there was a grave error of judgment. How can one bring democracy to a region of the world where the people who inhabit that region believe that all power rests with Allah, and where they believe that Allah has prescribed their way of life for them for then, for now, and for all time?

I would suggest that where such a dichotomy exists, the most sensible and prudent thing to do would be for us to lead our lives as we see fit, and for those people to be allowed to live their lives as they see fit. That way, there would be hope of some peace in this world.

But this is not what we have done. We have done the very opposite of this: We have entered the Middle East in the hope - the vain hope in my opinion - of bringing our way of doing things, our way of life, to them; furthermore, we have allowed millions and millions of Muslims into the West - and at the very time when Christianity, the religion which underpins the West, is greatly weakened anyway - which will only give us headaches for the years ahead. Why? Because Muslims who immigrate bring their hopes and dreams and aspirations with them of establishing Islam everywhere on earth. To Islamize the world is the main aspiration of the Muslim; and we have seen these past weeks, the manifestation of aggression in its cause in France. For what happened in France was in no small part because of the Muslim's desire to establish Allah's caliphate here on earth. These were the first rumblings, the first roar of the lion! Expect more of this in the future, as Islam grows stronger and stronger.

Muslims, by and large, do not respect non-Muslims. How can they? Their religion does not allow them to do so. Their religion preaches that Muslims are superior to non-Muslims; indeed, they use the derogatory term infidel for us. This word to some Westerners might simply mean that they call us infidels because we are people who do not subscribe to their faith. This, after all, would be quite logical, since to us it simply means not fidele, or not true to the faith. But this does not completely describe what Muslims mean by this term. To Muslims, to be called an infidel is an insult indeed! It has connotations of inferiority, backwardness, and even uncleanness!

You see, Muslims believe that Islam is the perfection of religion for man for all time. They call it ad deen al kamal, the perfect religion. People, in their eyes, who have not yet submitted to the will of Allah, are in a state of pre-Islamic chaos, a state known to them as Jahiliyyah! To Muslims, all Muslims, the whole world is classified in two parts: that part of the world which has submitted, and is therefore in the Islamic state, known as Dar al Islam, and that part of the world which has yet to submit, and is therefore in a pre-Islamic, chaotic, jahiliyyic state, known as Dar al Harb, or the House of War!

The House of War is the part of the world which has yet to be taken over, and must at some point be taken over in the future. We, I am sorry to inform you, are in the House of War. So we can expect anything at anytime.

Some people would ask why we were able to go for quite a long time without problems with Muslims. The answer to that is a simple one indeed. First of all, there were relatively few Muslims living in the West, so the ones that did live here were not powerful. Secondly, Muslims living in the Islamic world were, for the most part and for many years, poor by anyone's standards. This all changed with the Oil Embargo of the 70s - a time when the price of oil on the world markets soared. As a result of this, the Islamic world became rich and empowered. Money is power; and it talks loudly! In recent years we have seen evidence aplenty of Islam being on the move. I tell you now: If we do not find a way of clipping its wings here in the West, we shall lose our democracy, and we shall be in deep, deep trouble.

So the trouble we will have with Muslims will not come only from without, but in the future we can expect trouble from the Muslims within. The millions of Muslims living here in the West will not integrate, because it is not in their worldview to do so. It is also forbidden them by their very own Prophet Himself, the Prophet Muhammad. He forbade Muslims even to befriend infidels. He also exhorted them to kill us. And he certainly told them that they should live separate lives, and dress and behave differently, so that they could easily tell themselves apart.

No Western politician is going to be able to change these facts. For facts they are indeed. Moreover, as Islam will grow here, their numbers will become greater and greater, and they will be able to use our democratic system to outvote us and introduce their form of government based as it is on their beloved Shariah, or quranic laws! How do you propose we shall be able to stop them? We shall be outnumbered, and as the outcome of democratic elections depends on the number of votes cast, we shall be able to do nothing about it! This time will come quicker than we might think, because so few babies are being born to infidel families.

The only thing left for people to do, will be to fight. Inevitably, at some point, civil war will ensue. If the political process fails people, then this will be all that will be left for them: civil war, guerre civile, Bürgerkrieg, call it what you will.

But one thing I can assure you, no politicians' sweet talk, posturing, or manœvring, will get us out of this one without conflict at some point in the future.

You see, one of the biggest problems for the West is its devotion to the concept of freedom of religion. This is a lofty concept and ideal indeed; but this devotion blinds people to one important reality: Islam is not just a religion, but a political system also. Indeed, it is more of a political system than anything else, and it is, in addition, a political system diametrically opposed to our own. It abhorrs freedom of choice, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of anything that we so cherish! The only thing one is free to do in Islam is become a Muslim, and submit to the will of Allah!

These two systems are totally immiscible, and unfortunately, we have imported this immiscibility right into the heart of the West! To our own great disadvantage, and to the disadvantage of our long term peace and security. What, I ask you, will the Americans do when the ever growing Muslim population in America starts wanting to tinker with the Americans' beloved Constitution? When Muslims will see their way clear to supplant the Constitution with Shariah law?

Questions like these are the ones we should be grappling with NOW. To wait until the time comes would be foolish indeed.

Wake up to the harsh realities of life in the twenty-first century! We've got some collective thinking to do if we wish to save ourselves from darkness! Perhaps we shall, indeed, be forced to think about having to re-classify Islam as a political system first and foremost, a political system immiscible with our own, and one whose advance needs to be forestalled. This may be one of our only sensible alternatives. Since to give complete, unhampered freedom to Islam to grow here in the West is tantamount to digging our own graves!

Support Denmark in its hour of need!

Denmark is a country of courageous people. Its Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, is a very courageous man, too. He is standing up for freedom of speech and freedom of expression. And this from a very small Scandinavian country! Have the British stood up for it? Or the Americans, for that matter? The newspapers here in the US (with one exception) or there in the UK, have not re-printed one of the cartoons! Such craven behaviour!

Letter to America

The US is faced with two main problems: The problem with Islam and the problem with the southern border. The first problem has been brought to the forefront by the tragedy of 9/11, but has in no way been adequately dealt with if America has any desire to retain its liberty and safeguard its way of life; the second problem, the problem of the unrelenting inflow of illegal immigrants, is a problem that has grown in magnitude simply because of the government's refusal to deal effectively with the problem.

These problems, on the surface, appear to be intractable ones; but they are not. Both could be solved at a stroke. But they are not being solved because of one thing: The power of big business and commercial interests. Vested interests.

The inflow of illegal immigrants could be solved tomorrow! But the President's hands are tied because American commerce has an insatiable demand for cheap labour. Mexican immigrants satisfy that demand. The big business lobby is a powerful one. That power blocks a satisfactory solution.

Interestingly, it is the power of big business which stops the American government from finding a solution to the growth of Islam in America, too. So many companies have vast commercial interests with the Islamic world, so many contracts have been signed, so many deals have been made, with the potentates of the Gulf that the government finds itself emasculated. One could even say castrated!

How can they take the necessary decisions to safeguard the future of Western civilization when they stand to lose gazillions in deals? How can they stop the building of mosques and Islamic schools and Islamic propagation centres when they cannot countenance losing all those profitable contracts with the Arabs of the Gulf? How can they stop rich Arabs coming to the US to buy up all that prime land and all those viable economic enterprises when they stand to incur the wrath of the oil-rich sheikhs?

It appears that unless the status quo is changed, there will be no future for the free world. Should America ever fall into the hands of Muslims, should Islam ever become the dominant religion in that beautiful country, then there will be no hope for America, and no hope for the free world, either. Without a free America - the beacon of the free world - there will be no free West! Its light will have gone out! Liberty will be no more!

No concept of freedom!

The inflamed feelings of Muslims, and the tension that has arisen between the Islamic world and Europe over the publication of the cartoons depicting their prophet, the Prophet Muhammad, show clearly that these two worlds have irreconcilable differences.

One of these differences is the Europeans' reverence of freedom of expression and the Muslims' inability even to comprehend or accept what that freedom means!

Saudi Arabia, for example, has recalled its ambassadors from Denmark, because the Prime Minister of Denmark, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, has not put the stops on the publication of the cartoons, and furthermore, the King of Saudi Arabia expects that the people responsible for the publication of these caricatures be punished accordingly. What the king fails to understand is that the Prime Minister of Denmark, even should he wish to to punish these people, does not have the authority to carry it out. Denmark has a free press - an alien concept in itself in an Arab country!

Things work differently in Saudi Arabia, and also in other Islamic nations. These countries are authoritarian. The king, or political leader, can act on a whim. And whimsically they often act, too! "Off with his head!", is a familiar call in those countries. And 'off' the heads come!

Muslims will never understand the ways of democracy, or the subtleties of freedom, regardless of the dreams of President Bush! They have no basis upon which to understand these fundamental democratic concepts. Tyrants, they were! Tyrants, they are! And tyrants, they'll be!

And this brings me to another point: If any clear-thinking person should be in any doubt, after this débâcle of the publication of the cartoons, of the unsuitability of Islamic Turkey to be allowed entry into Europe, allowed accession to the democratic and secular EU, then he should have absolutely no doubt any longer! The marriage of Turkey with the EU will be a marriage that ends in disaster!

Expel Muslims NOW Who Cannot Accept the Norms of a Civilized Democracy!

Muslims, in London, have been calling for infidels who do not respect Islam to be beheaded! It is high time that this be STOPPED!

I stated in my book, The Dawning of a New Dark Age, that this would happen. We MUST put a stop to this BEFORE it is too late!

Expel ALL people NOW who cannot respect the norms of a civilized democracy! Furthermore, let all those sniveling politicians, who are so weak that they excuse this disgusting and barbaric behaviour, resign immediately!

Tony Blair’s government simply has to go! It is too pathetically weak to deal with the challenges of this age! Mr. Blair should keep well in mind that history will deal very badly with him for selling out the freedoms of the British people!
