British Muslim scholars have met in Birmingham to discuss the controversy over the caricatures of Muhammad and ask for a change in the law to prevent the publication of insulting pictures of the prophet!

It is to be hoped that the British government will keep its nerve and refuse to change the law to satisfy Muslim demands. Millions have died in the cause of liberty in the past century. Now these backward people wish to come here to destroy those freedoms.
I would say there is one simple solution to this: Muslims need to be told that they are free to leave. Nobody is holding them here against their wishes.
We have our culture and they’ve got theirs. This is our country; so they must abide by our laws, and live according to the rules and mores of our culture.

Our leaders are ignorant of the message of Islam. It seems that with a few exceptions - Geert Wilders in The Netherlands and Tancredo in the US (and a mere sprinkling of others - they are all apologists for Islam. Why? As I say, because they are ignorant, but the others because they fear that all hell will break loose if they speak the truth about this murderous ideology.
But what is better? To go on living in a dreamland and let them become our masters; or deal with the problem facing us - head on. I would say that the latter course of action would be better, since we have too much to lose. In any case, I, and may others like me, do not wish to be taken into the 'new dark age' that will inevitably follow.

It's difficult to imagine, isn't it? Churchill would have. That's one of the characteristics which made him great. We don't have many 'greats' in the making these days. But one will have to show his face sometime soon if we are to save the West from this barbaric ideology, if we are to save our superior civilization, if we are to save the 'Christian' West.

Mark, I think there are too many idiots out there for multiculturalism to die quite that easily. There is still a great deal of wishful thinking backed up by the deceit of Islam such that folk prefer to believe that Islam is really quite safe, the Muslims just being a bit touchy about their prophet, that's all.
I realize that multiculturalism isn't going to die that easily. I was merely trying to say that for thoughtful people it is dead, and if it isn't yet, then it should be. It certainly is for me. Though I have to admit that I have NEVER subscribed to the nonsense, never subscribed to the claptrap!
'Multiculturalism' is a concept dreamed up by dopey liberals for people who are half asleep or wet behind the ears. They should go and live awhile in the heartland of Islam. That would shake them out of their reveries.
Liberals are often not very tough when it comes to confronting an enemy, when it comes to war. They are not big on making tough decisions, either. They make excuses for others when and where they shouldn't. They often let others walk all over them, too. Liberals tend to like taking the soft option. (When did you ever hear of a liberal going for the tough option?) But in this case, the soft option just will not do. We are confronted by a tough, barbaric ideology of hatred and retribution.
The message of Muhammad is a dark one. Contrast that with the message of Jesus - the 'Good News'. One could hardly mistake the two messages, could one? Jesus spread love and understanding. What has Muhammad spread?

The only time you hear from them over this cartoon tam-tam is if they come out with rubbish about hurting the sensibilities of Muslims. Do you ever hear them moan and groan when the sensibilities of Christians have been hurt. No! They are usually in the back room gloating then.

Multiculturalism is not dead, unfortunately. In fact, the mulitculturalists, who espouse relativism, are excusing the violence because "Muslim sensitivities" have been offended, and never mind that the Muslim world perpetually offends Western sensitivites.
No, I know that it is not going to die that easily. (Please see my reply to JudahQ above.) But we can start the ball rolling now to help precipitate its death, because many otherwise benighted people have seen what Islam really is like through this hullabaloo. Muslims have shown their true colours.
As for liberals crying over hurting Muslim sensibilities, then all I can say is diddums! When have the liberals ever cried about hurting Christian sensibilities, or, for that matter, when have you ever heard of a Muslim crying over the hurt caused to us Westerners? I bet your answer is 'never'!
My sensibilities are hurt all the time, as are yours, AOW, especially when they keep referring to us as kuffar, and when they refuse to shake hands with us because we are unclean pork-eaters and wine-drinkers, thinking of us as being the scum of the earth.
If the West caves in on this issue of free speech/press, what's next? Will we all have to eat Hal-Al because not doing so offends "Muslim sensitivities"? Will I have to wear a hijab in public because not doing so might offend some passing Muslim?

Now, I believe that this cartoon furor has indeed been engineered so as to further Islamism's agenda. But I also think that the hordes of manipulated Muslims really believe that blasphemy against MTP should be punishable by death, worldwide and regardless of the governance of any nation. Anything less will not satisfy these Muslims. The West is kidding itself if it thinks that there's any room for negotiation in this cartoon jihad.

A few days ago, on FNC, some commentators were saying the most amazing things, such as (parapharasing here) "This cartoon rioting involves a lot more Muslims than just a few radicals" and "Islam is a religion of superiority, a superiority which advocates killing all those who don't subscribe to Islam." My husband and I stood up and cheered! But yesterday, I noticed FNC backtracking, going back to the old hijacking-of-a-peaceful-religion theme. Prince Alaweed's bucks at work?
Yes, there was a glimmer of hope on Fox News for a short while. But I noticed last night that the Bloviator was back to saying the "he knew" that Islam is a religion of peace at its core. That's when I switched the balderdash off!
Bloviators are hard enough to take when they are right; but when they are wrong, they become intolerable!

Both my husband and I got so angry last night when we heard that crap! We had to switch the channel and watch some mindless sitcom in order to keep our sanity. God, I'm so sick of hearing the idiocy "the religion of peace"!
