Dhimmi Europe

Mark,

You no doubt saw the lgf link about Danish Lutherans apologizing to Muslims.
Danish Church in Egypt to Apologize

Combine that with Norway's Finance Minster urging the boycott of Israeli products in favor of Palestinian ones and you see the sad demise of freedom in Scandinavia.

Another lgf post has news about some Danish companies agreeing to the same type of boycott against Israel at the request of Arab countries as a conditon of doing business with them!

Sometimes the bad news is overwhelming. My paternal grandparents were from Norway and Sweden so this is especially sad for me.

The common factor in all of this is that the leaders are the ones hellbent on forcing us into dhimmitude.

OT--What do you think of Bush(through our Homeland Security) awarding a contract to UAE to safeguard 6 major US ports?

I need a vacation from this insanity.

Heather, Awarding a contract to the UAE to "protect" our ports is a prime example of putting the "fox in charge of the hen house" How stupid is that? Well, there goes the "war on terror."

As to the article on Dhimmi Europe, it occurs to me that ordinary, decent people are finally discovering what our politicians are made of. What do you suppose it is?????

No, I hadn't seen this until you pointed it out to me. Thank you for doing so. But I have to say it disgusts me. As JuhadQ says: "When are our leaders going to grow backbones?"

Combine that with Norway's Finance Minster urging the boycott of Israeli products in favor of Palestinian ones and you see the sad demise of freedom in Scandinavia.

This is totally and utterly incomprehensible! Indeed, the only way one can understand it at all is as pandering. Pandering of any kind is extremely disgusting!

Another lgf post has news about some Danish companies agreeing to the same type of boycott against Israel at the request of Arab countries as a conditon of doing business with them!

If things go on like this, then I shall have to start thinking of removing the links in support of Denmark! I placed those up because I thought they were fighting, from a position of weakness, to further the cause of freedom of expression, etc. If they continue the way you are describing, then they will soon not deserve our support.

Sometimes the bad news is overwhelming. My paternal grandparents were from Norway and Sweden so this is especially sad for me.

I can understand full well how you feel about these developments. Indeed, I feel for you. But you may take at least some comfort in a Churchillian quotation:

"This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." Speech given at the Lord Mayor's Luncheon, Mansion House, London, November 10, 1942

The common factor in all of this is that the leaders are the ones hellbent on forcing us into dhimmitude.

Yes, they are the ones because they are cowardly and also greedy for oil and contracts.

It must also be said that many of them probably do not know of, still less understand, the concept of dhimmitude. This term, although well-known to people like ourselves, is quite unknown in everyday speak, even in the fraternity and sorority of politicians, I would assume.

But they certainly DO know what grovelling means; and that's exactly what they are doing.

T--What do you think of Bush(through our Homeland Security) awarding a contract to UAE to safeguard 6 major US ports?

What do I think of it? I think it's crazy. What is even more nonsensical is this: The president has given his approval to it. What on earth is the man thinking about? By the way, did you hear the Bloviator speak about this very topic last night? He thinks the contract should be given to them for them at least to have a shot at it at; otherwise, their pride and feelings will be hurt!

It's tantamount to Churchill giving a contract to the Nazis, our then enemy, for the secuity of British ports. It just wouldn't have been done.

I'm afraid that Bush's 'War on Terror' is beginning to turn into a joke, I'm extremely sorry to say. What kind of 'War on Terror' can be waged when your ports are being placed into the hands of people of the opposing faith, who, we know, are not given to expressing loyalty to the infidel.

Perhaps european women should be encouraged to breed more freely.

Not only European women, but Western women in general!

I talk about this in my next book, actually.

Women want to do something meaningful in life, something for society. I can tell them what they need to do if they want to do something meaningful, if they want to do something for their society: They can lie back and enjoy! As they used to say: Lie back and think of England! There's nothing new under the sun. La jadeed taht as-shams! It was always thus. Countries and societies need a healthy supply of babies to perpetuate themselves.

The demographics of it all are quite frightening. The only people willing to have children in large enough numbers are the immigrants. This means that we are giving our countries away to the immigrant in the long-term. Put into concrete terms: We are slowly turning the West over to Muslims.

Couple that with the idiotic notion of allowing Turkey into the EU, with its huge and growing population, and the catastrophe is complete!

It's not at all strange that the press reports do not mention these anomalies.

Gosh! Can we really imagine the MSM mentioning such things. They're far too craven.

The BBC, in particular, I think should be renamed, the Middle East Broadcasting Corporation. The MEBC! Why? Because they are so pro-Islam and all things Islamic. (Perhaps the Middle Easterners would like to fund it, too!)

JudahQ:

Reading that news item, I feel sick.
It is the Muslim clerics who should be apologizing for the extreme and excessive reaction and all the destruction that has followed, let alone for the massive number of gruesome murders and all the rest... oh, you all know what I mean.
When are our leaders going to grow backbones?

Yes, when indeed? I, too, feel sick.

This is one of the main reasons why I find myself quite unable to go to church on a regular basis, by the way. How can I respect the Church elders when they engage in interfaith dialogue so readily, and behave so cowardly as well?

If I feel the need for some spirituality, then I might as well open the Bible at home and pray. Look, for example, at what the Archbishop of Canterbury is doing? He is just as bad.

Until the Church comes out with a strong message that Salvation is found only through Jesus, then I guess I shan't find the Church much of a draw. If the Church leaders are not convinced of this message, then why should I be?

Can't mention it on this forum, I'm afraid!

I can't say it better than Mussolini did:

We've had how many ass-kissing apologies now from churches, politicians, and whole governments?

And they're still rioting?

When will the rest of the idiot world get a clue that this has nothing to do with cartoons?

It has everything to do with the Islamification of the Western world and with the march of Islam to impose their ways on the world. And fools are caving in. GOD!

About those churches...watch for the code word "interfaith." The true meaning is dhimmitude.

Will it ever? That's the worry!

Very well put! Vomit-inducing, isn't it?

JudahQ:

Personally, I think that one of the reasons why the church pews are emptying is because the Church preaches without conviction. Priests, if they actually believe what they should, should state categorically that it is only though Jesus Christ that one can find eternal life.

But they don't do that. Instead their message is garbled, at best. And all that interfaith nonsense just drives me up the wall.

Don't these 'interfaithers' realize that there CANNOT be any compromise with Muslims. Nor can the message of Christianity be diluted with some kind of syncretist, pick 'n mix version, a blend of Islam and Christianity. Islam is Islam; Christianity is Christianity. The core beliefs are totally different. Diametrically-opposed actually.

I have mentioned this so many times before, both in my book and here on this forum: Central to Christianity is that Jesus IS the Son of God; central to Islam is that Jesus IS NOT the Son of God. Moreover, central to Christianity is that Jesus IS our Saviour - He died to save our souls; central to Islam is that Jesus IS NOT the Son of God - He didn't die to save our souls. Central to Christianity is that nobody will come after Jesus (Beware of false prophets that will come after me); central to Islam is that Muhammad DID come after Jesus in order to 'perfect' religion for man for all time, giving us, in their words, ad din al kamal.

Now can a mere mortal reconcile these irreconcilable tenets of faith? If anyone can tell me how they can be, then I'd sure like to know about it!

Is the church the whore of Babylon? I think that term in in Revelation.
