Trump's Epstein Lies Prove MAGA Cover-up

Sep 9, 2025 | While Trump previously denied writing a birthday card for Epstein, their close relationship is now undeniable thanks to the most recent reports. Steve Schmidt reacts to the Epstein files released and expresses concern over the erosion of truth in America.

It grieves me beyond description that my fellow countrymen continue to bend the knee to the clowns across the Pond. We Brits are Europeans—thank the Lord!—not Americans. Pity is that so many Brits don’t know it or realise it. Let Americans enjoy their Trumpian, dystopic America! We can ejoy the culture of Europe. Vive l’Europe ! — © Mark Alexander

Lachlan Murdoch, the Media Prince Who Would Be King

THE NEW YORK TIMES: A new deal gives him control of his family’s media empire, including Fox News, for probably decades to come.

The question of succession has hung over Lachlan Murdoch his entire life. It has finally, definitively been answered.

The family’s empire, built over more than 70 years by his father, Rupert, is his to control for probably decades to come. Thanks to a $3.3 billion deal he reached with his three oldest siblings, Mr. Murdoch will be able to oversee the family’s media business until at least 2050.

The agreement immediately cements Mr. Murdoch, 54, as one of the world’s most powerful men. And it means that his companies — which own Fox News, The New York Post and The Wall Street Journal, among other properties — are likely to maintain their firm conservative tilt. Keeping that ideological bent has been a top priority for his father, who has preferred his elder son as his permanent successor over the three less politically conservative siblings.

Now the global Murdoch kingdom will fall under the control of an intensely private former philosophy student, a New Yorker turned proud Australian who transplanted his family to Sydney, and a digital enthusiast who has pushed his father’s analog media business into the realms of podcasts and streaming platforms. » | Katie Robertson and Michael M. World War II in Numbers: How a Fake Attack Triggered World War II / Der Zweite Weltkrieg in Zahlen: Wie ein vorgetäuschter Angriff den Zweiten Weltkrieg auslöste | Documentary

Jun 22, 2024 | On August 31, 1939, a 43-year-old man named Franz Honiok was arrested in Upper Silesia, drugged, and dressed in a Polish uniform. He was murdered near the Gleiwitz radio station to fake a Polish rebel attack. This staging served as a pretext for the Nazis to launch World War II, which would far surpass the horrors of World War I.

Considered the first global war in history, World War II resulted in fighting on every continent. At least 50 million people, both soldiers and civilians, lost their lives. We will never know the exact number of casualties, as the war period was characterized by total chaos and inadequate documentation.

Despite the horrifying statistics and estimates, these figures help us understand the scale and impact of the conflict. The numbers, in particular, illustrate why Hitler was so obsessed with conquering the oil fields in the Caucasus and why the Americans used the atomic bomb.
During the final months of World War I, no one would have imagined that the world would be facing an even greater conflict within a short period of time. But tensions grew rapidly, driven by the desire to create new empires. In Germany, this led to the rise of National Socialism, which ultimately led to the outbreak of World War II.

Trump Claims to Have Ended 7 Wars as Russia Bombs Kiev in Weekend Strikes

Sep 9, 2025 | As Russian forces continue striking Kyiv, U.S. President Donald Trump has once again made sweeping claims about his role in achieving global peace. Speaking in Washington, D.C., he said that within just seven months, his administration had managed to halt seven wars around the world. Critics argue that Trump often exaggerates his accomplishments. In the past, he claimed credit for preventing a potential nuclear clash between India and Pakistan - an assertion the Indian government dismissed, stating he had no role in the matter.

Sep 8, 2025 | “It feels as though there are checks and balances being removed all the time."

The idea that the US is sliding into authoritarianism may seem exaggerated, but Trump’s normalisation of extreme presidential powers is putting democracy at risk, says The Atlantic’s David Graham.
