Democracy Now! Anand Giridharadas on the Elite Network around Epstein
Nov 25, 2025 | While much of the recent interest in Jeffrey Epstein has focused on the late sexual predator’s relationship with President Donald Trump, his emails also reveal his close relationships with other powerful figures from the worlds of politics, finance, academia and beyond.
The thousands of files released by the House Oversight Committee earlier this month include his correspondence from April 2011 through January 2019, after he was already a registered sex offender for abusing underage girls in Florida.
The fact that so many prominent and influential people could ignore those crimes is indicative of their membership in a “borderless network of people who are more loyal to each other” than anything else, says journalist Anand Giridharadas.
“He had chosen this particular kind of social network, this American power elite, because he could be sure that it would be able to look away.”
Giridharadas is author of Winners Take All: The Elite Charade of Changing the World and recently wrote about the Epstein emails for The New York Times opinion section.

Scams, Schemes, Ruthless Cons: The Untold Story of How Jeffrey Epstein Got Rich
THE NEW YORK TIMES: For years, rumors swirled about where his wealth came from. A Times investigation reveals the truth of how a college dropout clawed his way to the pinnacle of American finance and society.
One evening in early 1976, a bushy-haired Jeffrey Epstein showed up for an event at an art gallery in Midtown Manhattan. Epstein was a math and physics teacher at the city’s prestigious Dalton School, and the father of one of his students had invited him. Epstein initially demurred, saying he didn’t go out much, but eventually relented. It would turn out to be one of the best decisions he ever made.
At the gallery, Epstein bumped into another Dalton parent, who had heard tales of the 23-year-old’s wondrous math skills. The parent asked if he’d ever thought about a job on Wall Street, according to an unreleased recording of Epstein and a document prepared by his lawyers. Epstein was game. The parent dialed a friend: Ace Greenberg, a top executive at Bear Stearns. Epstein, the friend told Greenberg, was “wasting his time at Dalton.”
Greenberg invited Epstein to the investment firm’s offices at 55 Water Street at the southern tip of Manhattan. Epstein showed up in a turtleneck. Greenberg was impressed — even though the young man didn’t have the foggiest idea of how Wall Street worked. Greenberg had helped build Bear Stearns into one of the industry’s scrappiest firms by eschewing the traditional investment-banking practice of hiring Ivy Leaguers with M.B.A.s. He preferred what he called P.S.D.s: those who were poor, smart and had “a deep desire to become rich.”
Epstein fit the bill. He grew up in a working-class family in Coney Island. Friends described him as a math whiz and a piano virtuoso. And, as Greenberg and his colleagues would soon learn, he yearned for wealth. That trait had been apparent as early as ninth grade: A classmate told us that Epstein predicted to her that one day he would be very rich. » | David Enrich, Steve Eder, Jessica Silver-Greenberg and Matthew Goldstein | Tuesday, December 16, 2025
The reporters, who have been investigating Jeffrey Epstein since 2019, interviewed dozens of his former colleagues, girlfriends, business partners and others. They also dug through archives, reviewed photos, notes and emails and scoured thousands of pages of public records.

I Read FBI's Wild Epstein and Andrew Files: Author | The Daily Beast Podcast
Nov 18, 2025 | Andrew Lownie joins Joanna Coles to examine wild new reporting that Jeffrey Epstein tried to hire a British sniper to kill Prince Andrew — a story now echoed by two separate sources.
Joanna presses into the fever-dream paranoia that surrounded Epstein in his final years and the ripple effects now hitting the palace. Lownie, author of the bombshell book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, explains why, if true, this plot reframes Epstein’s reach and the danger surrounding everyone in his orbit
. Joanna ends by asking the blunt question lingering under all of it: what else was Epstein willing to do that we still don’t know?

Trump Knew about Epstein’s Conduct, Newly Released Emails Suggest
THE GUARDIAN: In messages released by House Democrats, Epstein wrote ‘of course [Trump] knew about the girls’
Damning new emails that suggest Donald Trump knew about the conduct of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were released Wednesday, including one in which Epstein said “of course [Trump] knew about the girls” that were procured for his sex-trafficking ring.
The release of the three messages by Democrats on the House oversight committee is likely to add significant pressure on the White House to release the so-called Epstein files, reportedly detailing the long-running scandal that has overshadowed Trump’s second term of office.
Numerous victims have said they were assaulted at Epstein’s infamous parties that took place at his home in New York, his Florida mansion, and at his compound at Little St James in the US Virgin Islands, to which “clients” would be ferried by private jet. » | Richard Luscombe | Wednesday, November 12, 2025

Prince Andrew’s Life “Being Eroded" by Past Behaviour, Says Giuffre Memoir Co-writer | BBC Newsnight
Oct 21, 2025 | What is in Virginia Giuffre's memoir and what does it mean for Prince Andrew?
Amy Wallace, co-writer of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, speaks to Newsnight’s Victoria Derbyshire about the book’s allegation relating to Virginia being sexually trafficked to Prince Andrew by Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
Prince Andrew denies all of the allegations made against him.
This is TRULY DISGUSTING! And these are the people that the “little people”, the so-called “subjects”, are supposed to look up to! Maybe the time has come to give the possibility of a REPUBLIC some serious consideration. The state gives these people the means to live in the lap of luxury and they still can’t behave themselves. — © Mark Alexander
