Italy’s “Disgusting” New Law Makes It Virtually Impossible for LGBTQ+ Couples to Have Kids

LGBTQ NATION: The move is part of far-right Prime Minister Georgia Meloni's quest to purge gay parents from the country.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni

In Italy on Wednesday, the Italian Senate pushed forward the West’s most restrictive ban on international surrogacy, making it a crime punishable by prison time for Italians to use surrogates in another country. The move closes the door on same-sex couples’ last, best option to start a family in the country.

The far-right government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had already banned both surrogacy and domestic or international adoption by same-sex couples in Italy.

The legislation amending existing Italian law would classify surrogacy as a universal crime transcending borders and impose a two-year prison sentence and a million-euro fine for defying it. The law also criminalizes work by Italian doctors, nurses and technicians in foreign fertility clinics that provide surrogacy services. » | Greg Owen | Wednesday, October 16, 2024

Londonistan: The Rise of Islam and the Decline of Churches in the UK

Oct 11, 2024 | In this video, we explore the transformation of London, often dubbed "Londonistan," where mosques are rising while historic churches are closing their doors.

Once dominated by Christianity, the city is now witnessing a surge in the Muslim population and the construction of over 1,800 mosques, replacing some of the oldest churches.

Is this a sign of Christianity's decline, or is it a reflection of a more diverse and inclusive society?

Join us as we examine the growing influence of Islam in the UK and what it means for the future of London. From Sharia courts to packed Friday prayers, we unravel the demographic shift that's shaping the capital.

If you found this short video depressing, I’m not surprised. One can but wonder how long it is going to take for a complete take-over of this ‘Sceptered Isle’? And when that happens, will Trafalgar Square be turned into ‘chop-chop square’ for public beheadings? There are other questions that need to be asked, too: When will the burqa become mandatory on our streets for British women? When will the drinking of alcohol be outlawed? And when will special licences be required for the dwindling ‘Christian’ population to be able to purchase their pork rations from the ever-fewer pork butchers?

If you conclude from this that our politicians have lacked spine, you’d be right. If you conclude from this that the concepts of wokeness and political correctness have been thought-up to spare our politicians the discomfort of taking difficult decisions, you’d also probably be right. And if you are wondering why the far-right are on the march right across Europe and the Western world, don’t! The growth of the far-right is perfectly understandable. The Occident is being turned into the Orient right before our eyes. — © Mark Alexander

The Death Marches of the Second World War | DW Documentary

Oct 17, 2024 | In the final months of the Second World War, the Nazis evacuated concentration camps near the front. More than 700,000 prisoners were forced on death marches, often lasting weeks, as the Red Army advanced.

To this day, little is known about this incredibly bloody chapter in the history of the Third Reich. From summer 1944 to spring 1945, the Nazis forced hundreds of thousands of deportees on death marches through Germany and Austria, often lasting weeks. Many prisoners died of exhaustion or were murdered - either by guards or by civilians they had to march past. The unbelievable brutality of these death marches testifies to the general brutalization that had spread throughout the declining Third Reich.

In essence, the death marches were a continuation of the extermination strategy pursued by the Nazis in the concentration camps. In the face of the Soviet advance, the Germans dismantled the camps and attempted to remove traces of the extermination facilities. Having thus lost the means to execute their planned mass killings, the Germans resorted to other methods. They continued the murders, even as the regime collapsed and the Allies advanced.

The death marches are one of the least known chapters in the history of the Third Reich. That’s because for a long time, information about the identity of the perpetrators - and that of hundreds of thousands of prisoners from concentration camps, prisons and labor camps - was restricted.

Today, many previously unanswered questions can be answered thanks to historical research, as well as the testimonies of Jewish and other survivors that has been gathered over the decades.

Netanyahu Vows to Punish Iran after Hezbollah Drone Hits His House

THE TELEGRAPH: Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to punish Iran after a Hezbollah drone attempted to “assassinate” him and his wife at their weekend residence.

The drone caused little damage to the residence in the coastal city of Cesearea, and both he and his wife were out when it struck, the Israeli prime minister’s office said in a statement.

In a statement on Saturday night, Mr Netanyahu said the “attempt by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah to assassinate me and my wife today was a grave mistake”.

“This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future.

“I say to Iran and its proxies in its axis of evil: anyone who tries to harm Israel’s citizens will pay a heavy price,” he added.

The attack marked the first time a target directly affiliated with the Israeli leader had been hit since the start of the war. » | Harriet Barber | Saturday, October 19, 2024

Koks und Kutten: Eskaliert jetzt der Drogenkrieg? – Shortcut | DER SPIEGEL

— © Mark Alexander
