The Trump administration in its entirety is a nightmare and a disaster. I suppose it is what is to be expected when you put unqualified, inexperienced, greedy, cruel, corrupt crooks and criminals in charge of your country’s government. At this rate, the world will be lucky to avoid a world conflagration. Lunatics are now in charge of the asylum! — © Mark Alexander

Nov 29, 2025 | The United States’ deadly “counter-narcotics mission” off Venezuela’s coast hinges on an unproven drug-smuggling narrative - a familiar pretext for regime change, and one the mainstream media have been quick to echo. Meanwhile, Venezuelans face escalating repression at home.

Trump Reportedly Gave Maduro Ultimatum to Relinquish Power in Venezuela

THE GUARDIAN: US president sent a ‘blunt message’ to his South American counterpart, sources say

Donald Trump reportedly gave Nicolás Maduro an ultimatum to relinquish power immediately during their recent call – but Venezuela’s authoritarian leader declined, demanding a “global amnesty” for himself and allies.

On Sunday, the US president confirmed the call had taken place, telling reporters: “I wouldn’t say it went well or badly, it was a phone call.”

Neither the US nor Venezuelan government have offered further details of the topics discussed during the highly unusual conversation, which is thought to have happened on 21 November.

But sources told the Miami Herald the US president had sent a “blunt message” to his South American counterpart, who is the focus of a four-month pressure campaign in which Trump has ordered a massive naval deployment off Venezuela’s northern coast.

“You can save yourself and those closest to you, but you must leave the country now,” Trump reportedly said, offering safe passage for Maduro, his wife and his son “only if he agreed to resign right away”.

However, Venezuela’s president reportedly refused to step down immediately and allegedly made a series of counter-demands, including worldwide immunity from prosecution and being allowed to cede political control but keep control of the armed forces. » | Tom Phillips, Latin America correspondent | Monday, December 1, 2025

Trump Explodes at Another Female Journalist

Dec 1, 2025 | Trump has attacked a third female reporter in just two weeks — this time calling her “stupid” multiple times for quoting facts from his own administration’s documents. Earlier this month he called another reporter “piggy,” and another “ugly.” Ring of Fire’s Jerrod Zisser breaks down the full pattern, the verified facts from DOJ and DHS records, and why targeting women journalists is more than an insult — it’s an attack on accountability, press freedom, and anyone who asks questions he doesn’t like.

Trump is such a vulgar, coarse, impolite and moronic man who is so unworthy of the presidency. I hope that the Americans who voted for this man are pleased with themselves for re-electing such an indecorous man to the highest office in the land. The people who voted for this man deserve all they get. Unfortunately, we decent people, be they American or from overseas, have to live with the fallout. — © Mark Alexander

"This shows the moral degeneracy that the 'war on terror' has left as a legacy in the U.S. military."

HUNGRY MAN KITCHEN: Classic Greek Moussaka - Traditional and Delicious! | Reupload

Aug 11, 2023 | The word "Moussaka" itself has Arabic origins, derived from the word "musaqqa'a," which means "chilled." Early versions of this dish were made with layered vegetables and sometimes meat, then baked and served at room temperature.

The concept of layering and baking vegetables eventually spread to other parts of the Mediterranean, including Greece. Greek Moussaka, as we know it today, is said to have been adapted and popularized by the Greek population during the Ottoman era.

This widely known Greek version was created by the French-trained Greek chef Nikolaos Tselementes in the 1920s.

Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 3 | Khatia Buniatishvili, Neeme Järvi, Verbier Festival | Reupload

April 10, 2021 | Khatia Buniatishvili, Neeme Järvi and the Verbier Festival Orchestra perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 at the Verbier Festival in 2011.

Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873 – 1943) wrote his third Piano Concerto in 1909 at the Ivanovka country estate 550 kilometres south-east of Moscow. Rachmaninoff spent the summer months here from 1890 until his emigration to the US in 1917. The three movements of the piece recall the structure of typical solo concerts of the Romantic era. Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 was premiered by the New York Symphony Orchestra on November 28, 1909 in New York, conducted by Walter Damrosch. Rachmaninoff, who had been practicing the concert on a silent piano during his Atlantic voyage, played the solo part himself.

As a child, pianist Khatia Buniatishvili, born in 1987 in Tblisi, Georgia, was considered a wunderkind. She began to play the piano at the age of three and gave her first concert with the Tblisi concert orchestra at the age of six. International performances followed when she was ten. In 2008, she gave her US debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Since then, Buniatishvili has been regularly invited to many high-profile festivals and has given concerts in the world’s most renowned concert halls, for instance at Vienna’s Musikverein, at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and at the Berlin Philharmonic. She has won the highly respected Echo Classic Award twice.

The Verbier Festival is one of the most prestigious classical music events in the world. The quality of the participating artists as well as the originality of the programs have established the festival as a highlight of the music season. It takes place for two weeks in late July and early August in the mountain resort of Verbier, in Switzerland.

» | Alexander Schmalz | Montag, 1. Dezember 2025
