Attacks on Tesla Dealerships Grow Nationwide

Mar 20, 2025 | The U.S. Justice Department is investigating the recent violent attacks on Tesla cars and dealerships, with Attorney General Pam Bondi labeling them "domestic terrorism."

In just the past few weeks there have been reports of Teslas set on fire in Las Vegas, Kansas City, and Seattle, a dealership shot in Portland, and cars graffitied in San Diego County. Those are just a few examples of the violent attacks happening across the country aimed at the electric car company owned by controversial billionaire Elon Musk.

Trump Exploits Children during Fake Ceremony to Scrap Their Education Department.

Mar 21, 2025 | Donald Trump signed an executive order today calling for the dismantling of the U.S. Education Department, claiming his administration will close the department beyond its “core necessities,” preserving its responsibilities for Title I funding for low-income schools, Pell grants and money for children with disabilities.

Trump has derided the Education Department as wasteful and polluted by liberal ideology. However, completing its dismantling is most likely impossible without an act of Congress, which created the department in 1979. Republicans said they will introduce legislation to achieve that, while Democrats have quickly lined up to oppose the idea.

Vivian Jenna Wilson, Elon Musk’s eldest child, has spoken out publicly about her father, saying that Musk “definitely [did] a Nazi salute” at two rallies in January and that he is part of a White House that’s “cartoonishly evil”.

In a new interview with Teen Vogue, her second interview with the media since she publicly denounced her father last year, Wilson, 20, said that the things her father has been doing in the federal government were “fucking cringe”.

“The Nazi salute shit was insane. Honey, we’re going to call a fig a fig, and we’re going to call a Nazi salute what it was,” Wilson said. “That shit was definitely a Nazi salute.”

A Norooz Message to the World: Imagine a New Iran

Today, as Iranians celebrate Norooz—the ancient Iranian New Year—we reflect on renewal, hope, and the promise of a brighter future. Norooz means “new day,” symbolizing our people's timeless quest for freedom, peace, and prosperity.

For the past forty-six years, unable to celebrate Norooz in my homeland, I have marked this occasion by addressing my compatriots in Iran. Today however, given the historic opportunity ahead of not just Iran but of humanity, I am taking this opportunity to speak to all of you across the world for the first time on this special day to ask you to imagine an even greater renewal: a world without the Islamic Republic.

Imagine the Middle East liberated from the shadow of nuclear blackmail and threats. Imagine our region without endless proxy wars, extremist ideologies, and terrorism—all driven by a regime whose policies have caused mass migration, instability, and suffering far beyond Iran’s borders. Imagine a Western world free from hostage-taking and Western troops and taxpayers free of the burden of endless wars in far off lands.

Envision instead a free Iran—a nation contributing positively to regional stability, global security, and economic growth. Imagine international commerce flourishing securely through the Persian Gulf, with open trade routes benefiting every nation. Think of a Middle East where Iranian culture, innovation, and enterprise enrich and stabilize the region, rather than destabilize it.

For decades, the Islamic Republic under Ali Khamenei has falsely claimed to represent Iran and its ancient people. It holds no legitimacy, no mandate, and no rightful place in our history. Iranians overwhelmingly reject this regime and its dark vision. But there is another Iran.

As a servant of the Iranian people, I am stepping forward to lead this historic change. I have a clear and actionable plan. Achieving it will be challenging—but my resolve is unwavering, and my confidence in the courage of my compatriots is absolute. Together, we can dismantle the Islamic Republic and end decades of global terror, blackmail, and hostage-taking.

This new reality will profoundly benefit not only Iranians but citizens everywhere—from the cities of America to the capitals of Europe, from Israel to the Arab world. Our success will mean peace, prosperity, and security for countless millions across the globe.

Therefore, on behalf of millions of my compatriots who dream of the promising future they deserve, I extend our hand in friendship and partnership— to our neighbors from Israel and the Arab states, to our steadfast allies in the West, including President Trump and the United States, and to leaders across Europe and the G7.

I extend this hand of friendship in the hope that you will stand with the people of Iran and help us usher in this new day, this new era, in the interest of all of our peoples and nations.

Today, on this Norooz, let us seize this historic opportunity. Let us stand together decisively—not just to support Iranians, but to achieve this bold vision that can forever transform our world for the better.

Mar 20, 2025 | Milliarden für Verteidigung: Wie wird Deutschland wehrhaft? Darüber sprechen bei maischberger der Generalinspekteur der Bundeswehr Carsten Breuer und der Professor für Internationale Politik und Militärexperte Carlo Masala.

Militärexperte Masala erklärt, das Telefonat von Trump und Putin zeige, dass der russische Präsident nicht an einem Waffenstillstand interessiert sei. Statt Trump zu brüskieren, indem er sich komplett verweigert, stelle Putin Bedingungen wie etwa die Einstellung sämtlicher Militärhilfe an die Ukraine. Es handele sich dabei nicht um Verhandlungen, sondern lediglich Gespräche. Trump ziele auf einen schnellen Abschluss und eine Normalisierung des Verhältnisses zu Russland ab.

Zu Trumps Vorschlag der Übernahme des von Russland besetzten Atomkraftwerks Saporischschja sagt Masala, Trump sei der Überzeugung, dass wenn amerikanische Staatsbürger auf ukrainischem Territorium sind, dies die beste Abschreckung vor einem möglichen neuen russischen Angriff sei. Allerdings hätte sich bei Kriegsbeginn viele amerikanische Staatsbürger in der Ukraine aufgehalten, was Putin nicht von einem Angriff abgehalten hätte.

Die NATO habe „momentan ein Glaubwürdigkeitsproblem, das durch die Amerikaner verursacht wurde“, so Masala. „Wenn das größte Allianzmitglied – also die USA – die Frage stellt, warum man eigentlich Europäer verteidigen soll oder auch Japan, die ja nicht bereit wären, die USA zu verteidigen, dann rüttelt das natürlich an den Grundfesten der Allianz.“

Masala warnt, es brauche nun Tempo, um sich auf eine mögliche Bedrohung in den kommenden Jahren vorzubereiten: „Russland bereitet sich auf einen großen Krieg vor“, so der Militärexperte, selbst wenn dieser sich vorerst auf eine „Mischung aus hybriden Aktivitäten“ und „sehr begrenzten militärischen Aktionen“ beschränke.

General Carsten Breuer betont ebenso wie Masala, man könne bei den Telefonaten zwischen Trump und Putin keinesfalls über Verhandlungen sprechen. Es werde über die Ukraine gesprochen, die als Kriegspartei gar nicht mit am Tisch sitze. Mit Blick auf ein mögliches Kriegsende warnt Breuer, dieses bedeute keinen Frieden auf dem europäischen Kontinent. Putin habe immer wieder deutlich gemacht, dass es ihm nicht nur um die Ukraine ginge. Er rüste auf und habe neue Militärstrukturen geschaffen, die „klar in Richtung Westen ausgerichtet sind“. Auf diese Bedrohung müsse Europa eingestellt sein.

Russland begreife den Krieg nicht „in Boxen“, sondern sehe diesen als Kontinuum an. Auf der einen Seite stünden erste Maßnahmen wir etwa hybride Aktivitäten und auf der anderen Seite des Spektrums der „vollumfängliche Krieg“. Zwischen diesen beiden Extremen bewege sich Russland beliebig hin und her. „Und einen Teil davon sehen wir zurzeit auch in Deutschland“, so Breuer, etwa Drohnen, die über Kasernen fliegen. Mit Blick auf den Zustand der Bundeswehr sagt Breuer, dass mit der Ausnahme von der Schuldenbremse nun eine Verstetigung und Verlässlichkeit für die Planung innerhalb der Bundeswehr und der Industrie gewährleistet sei.
