THE GUARDIAN: YouGov poll shows rise in proportion of people who believe British Muslims pose a threat to democracy
Nearly two-thirds of people believe there will be a 'clash of civilisations' between British Muslims and white Britons in the wake of the murder of a British soldier in Woolwich, a new poll shows.
The number of those who believe such a clash is inevitable has increased by 9% from last year.
There has also been a small increase in the proportion of people who believe British Muslims pose a serious threat to democracy, up to 34% on Thursday and Friday from 30% in November 2012, according to the YouGov survey of 1,839 adults.
The poll will fuel concern of an explosion of race hate, with one interfaith charity reporting a huge increase in anti-Muslim incidents since the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in south-east London on Wednesday.
Faith Matters, which runs a helpline, said they had received 162 calls since the attack, up from a daily average of six.
A number of people have also been charged by police after allegedly offensive messages were posted on social media websites. These include a 22-year-old man from Lincoln, a 28-year-old man from London, a 23-year-old woman from Southsea, and a 19-year-old man from Woking.
The BNP has also announced it will be demonstrating in Woolwich. National organiser Adam Walker claims the brutal murder meant a "line has been drawn in the sand and it signals the beginning of the civil war we have predicted for years". » | Daniel Boffey, policy editor | Saturday, May 25, 2013

RT: Sweden should put its political correctness aside and start an open debate on immigration as it’s the only way to avoid a repeat of the Stockholm riots, Mishra Mrutyuanjai, Swedish Democrats movement member, told RT.
Stockholm is reeling as two schools, a police station and dozens of cars were set ablaze in the fifth night of riots.
Twelve people were arrested as rioters and police clashed with stone throwing youths in poor, largely immigrant districts of the Swedish capital.
Blogger and social commentator, Mishra Mrutyuanjai, believes Sweden has full right to apply restrictive immigration policies when there aren’t many jobs to offer to the people who come to the country. » | Friday, May 24, 2013
Rioting spreads outside calmer Stockholm: Police detain 19 after about 25 cars burnt on sixth straight night of violence in mainly immigrant areas of Stockholm. » | Saturday, May 25, 2013

NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE – THE DAVID PRYCE-JONES BLOG: On Wednesday, two young Muslims butchered a serving British soldier in the London district of Woolwich in the early afternoon in front of bystanders. Shouts of “Allahu Akhbar” were heard. One of the murderers was caught on film, holding a weapon, his hands dripping blood. He said to the camera, “We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you.” In the light of what he had just done, his calmness could only signify ideological certainty that he had committed a good deed and was about to publicize it. Making no attempt to escape, both killers waited until the police arrived and overpowered the murderers with a minimum of force. » | David Pryce-Jones | Friday, May 24, 2013

THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: Turkey is to restrict the sale and advertising of alcohol, prompting outcry from citizens concerned about the creeping Islamisation of the country.
Members of Turkey's Islamist-leaning government, led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have approved legislation, which is awaiting presidential approval, which will see the sale of alcohol in shops prohibited from 10pm to 6am.
Although similar restrictions are in place in some European countries, including Britain, the legislation also bans the advertising of alcohol. Broadcasters will even need to blur out bottles and glasses of alcohol consumed by TV characters.
Alcoholic beverage companies will also not be allowed to sponsor events where their drinks can be sold, such as concerts or football matches. New liquor licenses will not be issued to establishments within 330 feet (100 metres) of a school or religious institution.
The manager of one liquor shop in Istanbul's central Beyoglu district, famed for its boozy nightlife, called the ban "Islamic fascism."
If the restrictions are enforced, posters on the front of his shop advertising Chilean wine and European beer will need to come down, » | Justin Vela, Istanbul | Friday, May 24, 2013
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: The murder of a serving soldier by suspected Islamist terrorists in London “flies in the face of the peace and love that Islam teaches”, Nick Clegg said today.
The Deputy Prime Minister paid tribute for Muslim groups for responding to the brutal murder of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich on Wednesday with a call for “unity and calm”.
Mr Clegg said: “Over the last few days London has shown itself at its best: an unbreakable city once again refusing to bow to hatred and violence. Of all the groups and faiths represented here today, I would like to pay special tribute to London's Muslim community.
“An unspeakable act has been conducted in their name. Yet while this has provoked feelings of frustration and anger - it flies in the face of the peace and love that Islam teaches - Muslim organisations, Mosques, Imams and community leaders have responded with a call for unity and calm. They have set an example for us all.” » | Christopher Hope, Senior Political Correspondent | Friday, May 24, 2013

The gruesome beheading of one of our soldiers in a London street should be the final wake-up call for those who have been too slow to awaken from their slumbers. It should be plain for everyone to see by now that we are dealing with a force of darkness.
In my book, The Dawning of a New Dark Age, I warned in strong words that something would have to be done to keep Westerners safe from the danger that is Islam. Many might have thought that my words were alarmist. Today’s beheading in Woolwich, London proves them wrong. I have been vindicated.
It is difficult for Westerners who have to toil long and hard to put food on the table for their family to comprehend that there is a ‘culture’ out there which is hell bent on destroying the West, destroying all we stand for. But this happens to be the case. Alas, not all people in this world share our benign values.
I realise full well that the West has a history of its own which showed we could commit heinous crimes in the name of religion. But that was centuries ago. That was then; this is now. We have grown up; they have not. We have become enlightened; they still live in darkness. They are benighted.
Our politicians and leaders of all kinds have been unwilling, reluctant in the extreme, to come to terms with the fact that in Islam we are dealing with such a force of darkness: extreme darkness, in fact.
Islam is a religion which is aggressive and conquering. It brainwashes its adherents. It believes that all the world belongs to Allah and his final messenger; and that it is theirs for the taking. These people will never understand the concept of ‘living and letting live.’ They will never co-exist with Westerners. It is their stated aim to take over the West. It is their stated aim to make the whole world submit to Allah, who they believe to be the one true god.
Muslims divide the world into two: The ‘House of Islam’ (Dar ul Islam) and the ‘House of War’ (Dar ul Harb). We inhabit the ‘House of War.’ Therefore, we have to be conquered and brought into the ‘House of Islam.’ To them, until this happens, until we are conquered, they will be in a constant state of war with us. This tragic beheading today is but one dreadful manifestation of their way of thinking.
Our leaders, our politicians, our establishment will have you believe that there is a difference between Islam and ‘Islamism.’ They mislead you. ‘Islamism’ is a term made up by Westerners for Westerners, in order to lull them into a false sense of security, and to let our weak politicians off the hook. An ‘Islamist’ is a person who is intent on living according to the strict guidelines of Islam. He/she is a devout follower of their prophet. When Westerners refer to ‘moderate Muslims,' they refer to nominal Muslims, or people who are Muslims only in name, Muslims who do not take their religion very seriously. They are not devout. And in the eyes of devout Muslims, these 'moderate Muslims' have fallen by the wayside.
We are going to have to come to terms with this if we are ever to get a handle on the huge problem that we face with Islam. The sad fact is that because our leaders are so reluctant to come to terms with reality, innocent people are being placed in great danger in their own countries. This poor soldier today is a very sad case in point.
The MSM will not help you, because they are more concerned with being politically correct than they are with keeping you and me in safety. This is the sad reality of the Western world that we live in today.
It is high time that we had a reality check in the West. We need to stiffen our resolve to combat this threat to our safety, we need to stiffen our resolve to keep the West western. We have our values too; and barbarism is not one of them. We are better than that. We are civilised. Let us keep it that way. This is what I say: Whatever needs to be done to rid the West of this cancer, it has to be done. Time is not on our side. We have already been infiltrated. So what are we going to do about it?

THE GLOBE AND MAIL: A brutal killing on a busy London street has stunned the city and raised the prospect of terrorism, but British Prime Minister David Cameron vowed that Britons would not be cowed.
"Today our thoughts are with the victim and with his family - they are grieving for their loved one and we have lost a brave soldier,” Mr. Cameron said outside No. 10 Downing Street. "The people that did this were trying to divide us. They should know something like this will only bring us together and make us stronger."
…
“We will never give in to terror or terrorism in any of its forms,” Mr. Cameron said. “This was not just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life, it was also a betrayal of Islam and of the Muslim communities who give so much to our country. There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act.”

This is another whitewash job on Islam. This time by Cameron. He says that this brutal beheading is a "betrayal of Islam." Really, Mr. Cameron? How would you know? Since when have you become an expert on Islam? Have you read anything about Islam other than what the MSM have said or written? Have you read any of the Koran, or the Hadiths? Have you lived in an Islamic country and mixed with Muslims at the grassroots level? No, I thought not. May I therefore suggest, Mr. Cameron, that you say as little about the nature of Islam until such time that you have learnt something about it? It would be better for you. For by coming out with statements like this, you only prove what a fool you really are. – © Mark

It said: "Message from Tommy - Feet on the streets anyone want to go to Woolwich contact him/me, he will be there around 9pm."
The controversial anti-Muslim leader made a series of tweets regarding the attack, in which a man, believed to be a soldier, was killed with a meat cleaver and a machete.

THE GUARDIAN: English Defence League in street battles with police in Woolwich and mosques attacked in apparent acts of revenge
Scores of supporters of the English Defence League threw bottles at police and chanted anti-Muslim slogans in Woolwich hours after the murder of one man and the shooting of his two suspected assailants.
About 100 men, including some wearing balaclavas printed with "EDL", engaged in running battles with police for less than an hour.
A police commander said officers cited section 60 of the Public Order Act, which allowed them to stop and search individuals within a specific area without evidence of a crime being committed.
EDL leader Tommy Robinson said: "They're chopping our soldiers' heads off. This is Islam. That's what we've seen today. They've cut off one of our army's heads off on the streets of London.
"Our next generation are being taught through schools that Islam is a religion of peace. It's not. It never has been. What you saw today is Islam. Everyone's had enough. There has to be a reaction, for the government to listen, for the police to listen, to understand how angry this British public are." » | Ben Quinn and Conal Urquhart | Thursday, May 23, 2013
