Trump Attempts to Divert Epstein Attention Away from Himself with Court 'Wild Goose Chase'
Nov 15, 2025 | "[Trump] is willing to turn the justice department into an instrument of retribution."
Trump is using the justice department as a "simple political tool" to divert Epstein attention away from himself and attack his political enemies, says Author of "High Crimes & Misdemeanors: A History of Impeachment for the Age of Trump", Frank Bowman.

Trump Says He Will Take Legal Action against BBC, Despite Its Apology
THE GUARDIAN: US president tells reporters he will sue the corporation for ‘anywhere between a billion and $5bn’
Donald Trump has told reporters he will still take legal action against the BBC next week, despite the British broadcaster apologising for a misleading edit of one of his speeches.
On Friday evening, the US president told reporters aboard Air Force One “we’ll sue them for anywhere between a billion and $5bn, probably sometime next week. We have to do it.”
The BBC sent a personal apology to Trump on Thursday, but said there was no legal basis for him to sue the public broadcaster over a documentary his lawyers called defamatory.
The corporation rejected his demands for compensation, after lawyers for Trump threatened to sue for $1bn (£760m) in damages unless the BBC issued a retraction, apologised and settled with him.
The BBC has also agreed not to show the edition of Panorama again. » | Guardian staff and agencies | Saturday, November 15, 2025

Journey to Nazi Berlin / Vladimir Raevskiy
Nov 3, 2025 | A journey to a country under a totalitarian regime is surprisingly easy these days - too many of them are open and even welcoming to tourists. But what would you actually see, - and more importantly, notice, - on such a trip? Most travellers come back with ordinary impressions: food, sightseeing, parks, and museums.
But distance lends perspective.
That’s why I decided to travel to Nazi Berlin in 1936, to explore what impressions and observations I might have brought back from that quite remarkable place.

U.S. War in Latin America Feared as Hegseth Launches "Operation Southern Spear"
Nov 14, 2025 | Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has announced the launch of Operation Southern Spear to target suspected drug traffickers in South America, Central America and the Caribbean. The U.S. now has 15,000 military personnel in the region. Over the past two months the U.S. has blown up at least 20 boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific. “80 people have been killed in what are extrajudicial executions under international law,” says Juan Pappier, Americas deputy director at Human Rights Watch. The Pentagon claims the boats were carrying drugs but officials have acknowledged they don't know who has been killed.
“Progressives and people of goodwill — of the U.S. and Puerto Rico — it's time for those of us here to stand up and say that where we will not support any attempt to bring back the old gunboat diplomacy and to invade another Latin American country, and we need to do it soon, because this stuff is moving very quickly,” says Democracy Now!’s Juan González.

How UK and US White Supremacist Groups Have Joined Forces | ITV News
Nov 13, 2025 | Our governments have long enjoyed a so-called 'special relationship' - but now white supremacists in the UK and US are forging deeper and deeper ties.
ITV News has uncovered a network of far-right groups, spanning both sides of the Atlantic.
So just how are they working together and what do they want?
Global Security Editor Rohit Rohit Kachroo tells Geraint Vincent what you need to know.
This is very disturbing. Brexit has fuelled much of this dangerous nonsense. And Trump's re-election has been real grist to this mill. — © Mark Alexander
