Italian Magazine Defies Palace to Publish Topless Photos of Kate Middleton

THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: Gossip magazine Chi hit the streets of Italy on Monday with a special edition featuring the controversial topless pictures of the Duchess.

As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge prepared to launch criminal proceedings in France, the gossip magazine Chi hit the streets of Italy on Monday with a special edition featuring the controversial topless pictures of the Duchess.

The magazine devoted 20 pages to pictures of the Duchess on vacation with her husband Prince William in the south of France and features three topless photos of her on the cover with the headline: "Kate Middleton Court Scandal – The queen is nude!”[.]

The photos include the Duchess sunbathing topless on the balcony and rubbing suntan lotion on her husband’s back. There is also a shot of her back with her hands putting suntan lotion inside her bikini bottom.

Inside the magazine is a column by cosmetic surgeon Paolo Santanche analysing the duchess, as well as two pages headlined ‘2012 the Year of Scandals’, which includes the recent naked photo of Prince Harry partying in Las Vegas.

In an editorial Chi editor, Alfonso Signorini, said the issue is “special” because it is the first time the future queen of England is seen “in a natural way” without the structures imposed by her role. » | Telegraph reporters | Monday, September 17, 2012

Topless Kate Photos: Irish Tabloid Newspaper Publishes Pictures

THE GUARDIAN: Irish Daily Star prints topless photos with Italian gossip mag owned by Silvio Berlusconi planning to follow suit with 26-page photo special

The Irish edition of the Daily Star has published topless pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge despite it being part of a British-owned media group which has promised to respect the privacy of the Royal Family.

Its editor, Mike O'Kane, said the pictures did not feature in the Northern Ireland or British editions.

The Daily Star is partly owned by Richard Desmond's Northern and Shell Group, which also owns Channel 5.

Responding to reports that the Irish Daily Star has published topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, St James's Palace said: "There can be no motivation for this action other than greed."
