Kemi Badenoch's Big Brexit Speech Yesterday

Jan 17, 2025

Kemi Badenoch is a bloody disaster for the Conservative Party. She has zero chance of reversing the party’s fortunes. In a short time, Badenoch will be nothing but a footnote in the history books.

The problem with Brexit is not that it has been badly executed, though it is true that it has been badly executed. The main problem with Brexit is that its execution should never have been tried from the start. There is no way that Brexit could have worked, regardless of how it was executed. No country can decouple itself from the greatest customs union in the world, which is on its doorstep, and expect to be able to thrive. This is economics 101!

Only a dimwit would have suggested a Brexit referendum. Cameron, put a referendum forward, and he was just that: a dimwit.

Kemi Badenoch need not bash herself on the head with Brexit being badly executed. Fact is that its execution should never have been tried in the first place.

Kemi Badenoch Elected New Conservative Party Leader

Nov 2, 2024 | Former trade secretary Kemi Badenoch has been elected to lead the Conservative Party after a four-month-long race to replace former prime minister Rishi Sunak.

If I am not greatly mistaken, the Conservative Party has just hammered the final nail into its own coffin! Conservatives can now write their own epitaph, too!

My visitors will know that I have been saying for years now — ever since that ridiculous Brexit and that succession of duds as leaders — that the Tories were going the way of the Whigs before them: into oblivion. I have also written that they will soon be as dead as the dodo. It appears that my words are coming true quicker than even I could have imagined. – © Mark Alexander

Libertarian Culture Warrior Kemi Badenoch - Unfit for Office

Feb 3, 2024 | After Cameron’s victory in 2010, The Tory bathtub was brimming with confidence and authority. It was Brexit that pulled the plug, and ever since, the Nasty Party have been succumbing to the inevitable pull of the drain. The party, murky with the sediment of incompetence, corruption and sexual offences, swirls in a slow, relentless spiral towards collapse. But the bookies tell us that one person emerges. Kemi Badenoch is the embodiment of the systemic flaws of the Tory Hard Right, her words and actions magnifying Tory dysfunction as she and they circle closer to the plughole, she’s a stark reminder of just how badly the Tories have misjudged what THEY claim is the will of the people.

Kemi Badenoch as leader of the Conservative Party would make the Tories totally and utterly unelectable. This move could send the Tories the way of the Whigs before them – into oblivion, the way of the dodo. – © Mark Alexander
