Thank you, Mark and winesy, for best wishes on our national day of Thanksgiving. Even though there are many reasons to despair, there are also many reasons to be thankful. I, for one, will take the latter over the former.
You're welcome, too. I'm so glad you liked that painting. I fell in love with it when I first saw it. It is rather like a jewel. I'm most impressed by it. I also thought it looked dramatic againt the black background. Further, I thought it made a change from the traditional Thanksgiving scenes.
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK, but we do have Harvest Festival. I suppose that would be the nearest we have to it. But it isn't really quite the same, since people don't celebrate it at home; rather, it is celebrated in the churches, etc. Churches usually put on a Harvest Supper. That is our way of giving thanks.

Thanks to both of you! We just finished our evening meal here. Delicious! Now out for a jog around the park!

Mark, I neglected to thank you for the wonderful painting you shared with us on this post.
Thanks cousin!
America has become a great nation because it stood on the shoulders of the British giant.
Mark,
Well, I'm a day late stopping my your Thanksgiving post.
Thank you, belatedly!
Thank You Mark
My family just got back from a nearby relative, and we had a great thanksgiving. I hope this Thanksgiving has been a blessing for everyone on earth.
Does England have a holiday similar to Thanksgiving?
GOD bless everyone

You're welcome, Heather. I hope you're managing to sort out the problem with your hacked website.
