The Coronation of 'Charles the Multiculturalist'

Isn't this something the people should say a firm 'NO' to? Shouldn't the voice of the people be heard in a true democracy? Must the people be ignored in this arrogant way? Or is our 'democracy' a sham? Don't these people realize that this would send the very WRONG message at this delicate time, when Islam is flexing its muscles here in the UK and throughout the world? Are the 'powers that be' clueless?

"We should not pander to political correctness," she said. "There is no way that other faiths should be involved in the service. This is a Christian country and so the coronation service must remain exclusively Christian and we should not apologise for that." - Alison Ruoff, a member of the General Synod, the church's parliament

The coronation of the Prince of Wales will be a "multi-faith" event.

Prayers and readings from other denominations and religions, including from the Muslim, Sikh and Jewish faiths, are expected to be included in the ceremonies marking Prince Charles's accession to the throne.

Canon John Hall, the Dean-elect of Westminster Abbey, said that the traditional Church of England coronation service must be revised to reflect society's changes since the Queen's coronation in 1953. As dean, he will be on the committee responsible for drawing up the service.

"The coronation service needs to find the right way of including people of other faiths," Canon Hall told The Sunday Telegraph. "It must be different in some ways because of the nature of society and how things have changed." Christian, Muslim, Sikh and Jewis: multi-faith coronation for Charles by Jonathan Wynne-Jones

Things have certainly changed, but not for the better! Great Britain no longer has a culture in keeping with the tradition of centuries. Immigrants have moved in and are refusing to assimilate; rather, they want to change the essence of British society and law.

A multicultural coronation will pave the way for the further undermining of British values.

Can you imagine such a mutlicultural ceremony in any Islamic nation? Of course not. Wouldn't happen. Muslims are careful to preserve their traditions; the West is not. And therein sounds the death knell for the West.

Mark,
By way of explaining my absence lately...

I haven't been doing much in the blogosphere, especially during this past week. Back woes, made worse by the cessation of all medications so that a diagnostic test could be run this past Friday. I had to stop outside my healthcare plan and get a specialist with the necessary knowledge and the proper, modern equipment. I still don't have a treatment plan, but hope to this week, after the docs have consulted. Once I'm feeling better, I can return "full time" to the blogosphere!

You have no need to explain at all.

I guessed as much. I do hope you get your back problems sorted out soon. Back problems are very hard to bear.

To be honest, I don't think I have ever seen anything quite so stupid and ludicrous as this photo of the Prince of Wales. I would like someone, anyone, to tell me ONE intelligent and sensible thing he has ever done. If, God forbid, Charles becomes the King of England, it is time to disestablish the monarchy in Britain.

Ditto! Doesn't he look a dork?

I would like someone, anyone, to tell me ONE intelligent and sensible thing he has ever done.

Sorry! Can't rise to the challenge!

If, God forbid, Charles becomes the King of England, it is time to disestablish the monarchy in Britain.

Yes, we'll all be republicans then!

JudahQ:

Is it so surprising then that there is a strong drive towards becoming a republic out here in the "colonies"?

Not surprising at all! Were I to be a New Zealander or Australian, then I would be a republican too, given the idiocy of this dork!

The prince is simply becoming that which he admires - another goon.

Doesn't he look just like a goon! He needs to look to his mother to see the dignity with which she has carried out her duties as a monarch. That should teach him something.

Scary Sexy Chocolate Thing:

just read how in England that the police is going to inform the ROP clerics before the fact that they plan to carry out a raid on suspected terrorist. i read this on website Tammy Bruce

Now that's bright and smart, isn't it? That's like telling the robbers before they break in.

Mark - Remember the era when the people of Britain and the Commonwealth had a say as to whom would be crowned? Less than 100 years ago they rejected an Edward because of his marriage to the divorced Mrs. Simpson, an insignificant impediment when compared to what Charles will bring to the throne.

What is the present status of imput from Commonwealth nations and the British public?

I think Dianas's sons show far more Loyalty to Britain than their Father, who is increasingly looking like he has gone off the rails.

Diana's sons do, I believe. What you say about Charles is so accurate. He has indeed gone off the rails, if indeed he was ever on them!

Yes, remember reading about the fuss they made about Edward? They made such a song and dance about that liaison; yet, as you rightly say, what is happening now is of so much more import.

What is the present status of imput from Commonwealth nations and the British public?

I don't know about the Commonwealth. Perhaps Quisabelle would be able to answer that. The I believe that the British people are not best pleased; however, they are not given a voice. The press keep it all so muted, it is difficult to tell. You know what the MSM is like, don't you?
