Jared Yates Sexton on a Post-neoliberal Vision for America, When the Scourge of Trumpism Is Over

It cracks me up when I hear pundits and politicians alike repeat the mantra that America is the richest country in the world. Don’t these people know that America is on its ARSE? America’s NATIONAL DEBT is approximately $38.4 TRILLION. So, how can it possibly be the “richest country in the world”? The country, like most of its citizens, is living on TICK, on CREDIT that other countries like China kindly offer the PROFLIGATE Americans TO BAIL THEM OUT. The notion that America is the richest country in the world is, quite frankly, A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS. — © Mark Alexander

Truth To Power: Trump’s Free Speech Lie, Farage the British Copycat
Dec 27, 2025 | Donald Trump claims Europe is waging a war on free speech whilst his administration is banning critics, suing broadcasters, and silencing comedians.
In this video, I expose the lie, and explain why Nigel Farage is cheering it on from Britain.
Donald Trump and his administration are accusing Europe (including the UK) of suppressing free speech, while cancelling visas, intimidating journalists, and pressuring broadcasters who allow criticism of Trump to reach mass audiences.
This video looks at how “free speech” has been weaponised by Trump’s administration, how lawsuits and corporate pressure are used to silence dissent, and why this authoritarian logic is being exported across the Atlantic. I also examine Nigel Farage’s role in normalising this worldview in Britain, his conditional definition of free speech, Reform UK’s polling decline, and the growing evidence that what’s being sold as rebellion is actually imported Trumpism.

Far-right José Antonio Kast Favored to Win as Chile Votes in Presidential Runoff
THE GUARDIAN: Trump-inspired former congressman expected to succeed Gabriel Boric but compulsory voting could create volatility
Chileans will head to the polls on Sunday for a presidential runoff in which the favourite is a Donald Trump-inspired candidate who has pledged to build a wall along the country’s borders to keep migrants out.
José Antonio Kast, 59, an ultra-conservative former congressman who has built his campaign on a promise to expel tens of thousands of undocumented migrants, faces Jeannette Jara, 51, a former labour minister under the current centre-left president, Gabriel Boric, 39.
Jara finished the first round ahead, with 26.9% to 23.9%, but while she was the unified candidate of a leftwing coalition, rightwing contenders, including Kast, together took more than half of the votes. » | Tiago Rogero, South America correspondent | Sunday, December 14, 2025
The cancer cells of Trumpism are breaking away from the tumour at a rapid pace now; they are travelling far and wide. The metastasis is getting way out of control. The cancer has reached even Chile already. So, Europe had better start preparing itself for the approaching deadly malady. Europe’s future looks very bleak indeed, even black. — © Mark Alexander

The Guardian View on Republican Extremism: Trumpism Flourishes
THE GUARDIAN: Some of the party’s elite may be belatedly awakening to the costs of their cynical choices, but others are doubling down
That someone is ludicrous doesn’t stop them being dangerous, as Donald Trump and now Marjorie Taylor Greene have demonstrated. The new Georgia congresswoman has not only repeatedly spread racist and antisemitic statements; she has suggested a Jewish banking family might have been involved in starting wildfires with “space lasers”, repeatedly endorsed QAnon conspiracy theories and questioned whether the Pentagon was attacked on 9/11. Her views are no less poisonous and extremist for being so bizarre.
The most frightening and extraordinary thing about her, however, is that she is now welcome at the heart of the Republican party. Though Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader, has described her “loony lies and conspiracy theories” as “a cancer for the Republican party”, his diagnosis comes much too late. Kevin McCarthy, his counterpart in the House, boasts of a “big tent” – so large that it now includes those who have supported the killing of political opponents. It took Democrats to strip Ms Greene of her committee positions via a House vote on Thursday, an unprecedented move that should never have been necessary. They are happy to seize the opportunity to portray the GOP as Ms Greene’s party. But they are not so wrong to do so. » | Editorial | Friday, February 5, 2021

How to Become a Forever-Trumper
To become a Muslim, one has to take the shahada, or testimony of faith. This testimony of faith is stated in Arabic and in the language of the convert. It goes like this: I testify that the is no god but Allah and I testify that Prophet Muhammad is the final Messenger of Allah.
To become a Forever-Trumper, the testimony of faith would read something like this: I testify that there is no god but Mammon and I testify that President Trump is Mammon’s final messenger.
There are five pillars of the Islamic faith. They are as follows:
1. The statement of faith, or the shahada. 2. Salah, or prayer, offered five times a day in the direction of Mecca. 3. Zakat, or alms, the obligatory portion of a Muslim’s surplus wealth. 4. Sawm, otherwise known as fasting in Ramadan, and also at other times throughout the year. 5. Completing the Hajj, or pilgrimage to Mecca, at least once in a lifetime for all able-bodied men and women as long as they can afford it.
The five pillars of Trumpism are as follows:
1. The statement of faith, namely that ‘there is no god but Mammon and that Trump is Mammon’s final messenger’. 2. Worshipping five times a day at the altar of Trump, in the direction of Mar-a-Lago. 3. Alms for the 1%. 4. Keeping a sound diet of burgers and Coke. 5. Performing the pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago at least once in a lifetime for all able-bodied males, staying in a Trump-owned hotel along the way and in the vicinity of Mar-a-Lago while performing the pilgrimage.
Doing these things will give you the key to Trump’s paradise, ensure eternal salvation for the Forever-Trumper, and ensure the continued enrichment of the messenger’s family here on earth.
