WND: Anjem Choudary sees advance of Islam through crisis
In an interview Tuesday with WND, British Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary stated ISIS “undoubtedly” is taking advantage of the migrant crisis rocking Europe, using the displaced Syrians as cover to bring jihadists to the West.
“Undoubtedly this will be seen as one of the avenues that the Islamic State employ in order to get their own people in position to where they may be able to confront who they see to be the enemies who are leading the campaign against them,” Choudary stated.
“So I think this is a very real possibility,” he continued. “It’s probably already happening. The extent of it is very difficult to know until it has some kind of manifestation.” » | Aaron Klein | Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Anjem Choudary Protests Innocence as Charged with Terror Offence
THE TELEGRAPH: Preacher Anjem Choudary claims David Cameron and police are the guilty ones as he faces charge of inviting support for Isil
Radical preacher Anjem Choudary launched a 20 minute court monologue protesting his innocence after being charged with a terror offence for the first time.
The controversial cleric said he would be pleading that David Cameron, the police and the courts are the guilty ones after being accused of inviting support for the terror group Isil.
The 48-year-old claimed his arrest and charge was a “political manoeuvre to silence Muslim voices” and insisted he would defend himself in court.
Choudary appeared before Westminster Magistrates along with co-accused Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, 32.
The pair allegedly encouraged Muslims to obey the so-called Islamic State as a caliphate in online messages despite it being a banned terrorist organisation.

Met Police Officer Removes His Help for Heroes Charity Wristband after Being Harangued by Hate Preacher Anjem Choudary in the Street
A Metropolitan Police officer appears to have taken his Help for Heroes wristband off after being grilled by a hate preacher in East London who said he should not be displaying a 'political agenda'.
The constable is filmed on Green Street, Forest Gate, being taunted for wearing the band which supports British soldiers and is asked: 'Are you a member of the EDL or BNP or something?'
Constable Allerston is later seen standing on the same street without the band on after a caption flashes on screen reading: 'As you will see from the next clip, the officer subsequently removed the wristband.'
The timeline of events in the video cannot be confirmed as correct and the Met do not have enough information to comment on the incident. » | Jay Akbar for MailOnline | Sunday, June 21, 2015

BBC Reporter Slammed for Comparing Hate Preacher Anjem Choudary to Gandhi and Mandela
DAILY EXPRESS: THE BBC has come under fire after one of its chief reporters shockingly compared extremism preacher Anjem Choudary to civil rights heroes Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi.
Stunned viewers watched home affairs editor Mark Easton criticising the Government's plans to silence hate-mongers such as Choudary, who has refused to condemn the killing of Lee Rigby, by asking whether great historical figures would pass the proposed test.
The newsman carried on by saying extreme views were needed in order to "challenge very established values".
Speaking on BBC News at Ten last night, the home affairs editor went further and, following a news piece on Choudary, Mr Easton said: "It's one thing to ban someone for inciting hatred or violence, but quite another to pass a law that silences anyone who challenges established values.
"I was in Parliament Square today - a statue of Gandhi looking down at me who was jailed for being extremist; Mandela who was jailed for being an extremist.
"History tells us that extreme views are sometimes needed to challenge very established values that people at the time hold so dear."
Mr Easton's comments have provoked anger against the public service broadcaster.
There was also upset regarding the air-time given to Choudary on last night's news.
It is not the first time the BBC has been criticised for allowing the British-born extremist to promote himself. » | Rob Virtue | Thursday, May 14, 2015

Muslim Hate Preacher Says Blogger Behind ‘Draw Muhammad’ Comp Should Die, On Live TV
DAILY EXPRESS: HATE preacher Anjem Choudary told the anti-Islam activist who organised the 'Draw Muhammad' event at the weekend she should be sentenced to DEATH, on live TV.
American right-wing blogger Pamela Geller clashed with British imam Choudhary just days after gunmen Elton Simpson, 31 and Nadir Soofi, 34, attempted to storm the controversial cartoon event in Garland, Texas.
Geller, 56, has received death threats and Islamic State militants have called for her "slaughter" since the exhibition.
During a heated live Fox News interview, host Sean Hannity questioned Choudhary on his views about the cartoon drawing event and if he thought Ms Geller should die.
The imam replied: "We’re not talking about Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck.
“You’re talking about people who deliberately had a competition to insult the prophet … knowing full well this carries the death threat in Iran.
"If you saw the cartoons that Charlie Hebdo drew [sic], you would understand the anger."
The cleric then went on to say that Geller would be fully aware that many Muslims consider blasphemy a crime that is worth capital punishment. » | Rebecca Perring | Thursday, May 07, 2015

Anjem Choudary Claims All Muslim MPs and Voters Are 'Apostates' Sinning against Islam
THE INDEPENDENT: The radical preacher told followers that Allah is the 'only legislator'
Radical preacher Anjem Choudary has claimed that all Muslim MPs and voters are “apostates” as the general election approaches.
Writing on Twitter that voting is a “sin” against Islam, he argued that Parliament violated religious law because Allah is “the only legislator”.
Mr Choudary wrote: “The only excuse is for a new Muslim or someone totally ignorant about voting and also what's known from Islam by necessity.”
In a stream of messages using the #StayMuslimDontVote hashtag, the cleric called Muslims who vote or run as an MP are “apostates”, meaning they have abandoned their beliefs.
Anyone doing so does not believe that Allah is the “only, exclusive legislator and commander” and is therefore a “kaafir” (disbeliever), he claimed. » | Lizzie Dearden | Wednesday, April 22, 2015
My comment:
Our politicians have ruined England, Great Britain! By allowing into the UK successive waves of immigrants who have absolutely no intention of integrating, no intention of taking part in our democracy, and having every intention of spreading an alien faith and political ideology in our country. By doing so, they have sown the seeds of our own destruction. Fie on the LibLabCon traitors! These immigrants do not belong in the UK any more than I belong in Pakistan. Shame on our legislators! Shame on them! – ©Mark

Oxford Union Invites Hate Preacher Anjem Choudary to Speak Despite Being On Bail for Being Member of Banned Terror Group
DAILY MAIL: Hate preacher Anjem Choudary invited to speak by debating society / Said it would be a 'great privilege' to have Choudary as the star guest / Got invite day before Theresa May announced crackdown on extremists
Hate preacher Anjem Choudary has been invited to speak at the Oxford Union despite being on police bail on suspicion of being a member of a banned terror group.
The notorious rabble rouser received his invitation from the debating society a day before Home Secretary Theresa May announced a crackdown on Islamic extremists.
The letter said it would be a 'great privilege' to have Choudary appear as the star guest.
Choudary, who once said that Woolwich terror victim Fusilier Lee Rigby would 'burn in hellfire', was even offered a choice of days on which to attend the debate entitled: This house believes that radicalism is born at home.
Britain's most notorious hate preacher proudly showed off his invitation after launching a hate-filled rant against Western society outside the Houses of Parliament yesterday.
He said: 'I am still on police bail after being arrested by Scotland Yard in September last year. 'But the police can't stop me from speaking. They can't stop me from going to the Oxford Union where I've been invited to speak.' » | Arthur Martin for The Daily Mail | Tuesday, March 24, 2015

Anjem Choudary, Radical Muslim Cleric: Quran Justifies Jordanian Pilot Burning
Speaking with NewsmaxTV host Steve Malzberg, Mr. Choudary said the video showing the pilot burning to death “has several intended affects.”
“One of them, of course, is to terrorize the enemy, and I think it’s had that effect,” he said, the Daily Caller reported. “It’s had a huge propaganda effect all around the world. Now, if you want to look at this from a Islamic perspective, what they are arguing is that it is reciprocation. » | Jessica Chasmar | The Washington Times | Thursday, February 05, 2015

UK Shops to Receive Charlie Hebdo Magazine Despite Radical Cleric Calling It an "Act of War"
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: Hundreds of copies of the latest edition of Charlie Hebdo 'survivors' magazine are expected to be brought to the UK when it is published on Wednesday despite claims by radical preacher Anjem Choudary it is "an act of war".
Hundreds of copies of the 'survivors' edition of the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine are expected to go on sale in the UK when the magazine is published on Wednesday.
Radical preacher Anjem Choudray has criticised the magazine's controversial cartoon front cover of the Prophet Mohammed as "an act of war" and warned there will be "repercussions".
The latest edition is published a week after many of the Charlie Hebdo editorial team were massacred in an attack at their Paris office which saw terrorist brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi kill 12 people.
Five of Charlie Hebdo's cartoonists - including the editor - were killed in the attack.
Smiths News, the distribution arm of WH Smiths, and Menzies are expected to be purchasing up to a 2,000 copies to supply to stores in the Uk [sic].
Radical cleric Mr Choudary said "ridiculing" Mohammed is attacking his personality, and said these actions are "extremely serious", adding that if the "act of war" was to be tried in a Shariah Court it would carry capital punishment. » | Nicola Harley | Tuesday, January 13, 2015

US Use of Shannon Airport Makes Ireland a Target - Anjem Choudary
THE IRISH TIMES: Preacher says Charlie Hebdo attack victims were to blame for their own deaths
Ireland is a legitimate target for attack because of its decision to allow American planes refuel at Shannon Airport on their way to bombing Muslim countries, a radical Muslim preacher based in the UK has warned today.
Anjem Choudary, who has described those behind the 9/11 attacks in the US as ‘magnificent martyrs’, warned that Muslims fighting American foreign policy do not see Ireland as a neutral country because of its willingness to allow American planes refuel at Shannon.
“You allow the Americans, who are the biggest butchers in the world, to stop at Shannon Airport to refuel and go on to kill people in Muslim countries... if you believe the Americans are terrorists, the Irish government is colluding with them and aiding and abetting terrorism,” he said. » | Barry Roche | Friday, January 09, 2015

’Britain Belongs to Allah’: Anjem Choudary and His Supporters - Analysis
EURASIA REVIEW: “We don’t abide by British rule.” “Sharia is the law of God, and should be implemented in the whole world.” “The ‘flag of Sharia’ will eventually fly over Downing Street.” These are statements voiced by the radical preacher, Anjem Choudary, in the UK.
What do Choudary and his supporters seek?
Anjem Choudary, a 47 year-old British Muslim of Pakistani descent born in England, is a former lawyer and founding member of proscribed Islamist groups like al-Muhajiroun and Islam4UK. These groups were banned based on government evidence of them operating as terrorist organisations with links to al Qaeda. According to Hope Not Hate, Choudary represents “the single biggest gateway to terrorism in recent British history.”
His support base is prominent. According to a recent poll by ICM Research, 40 per cent of 500 Muslim families that were surveyed expressed support for the establishment of strict Sharia laws in the UK. Policy Exchange reveals that one-third of the domestic Muslim youth would happily succumb to Sharia. According to Henry Jackson Society, 18 per cent of people linked to acts of terror have had associations with Choudary´s banned organisations. Hope Not Hate reveals that 200-300 supporters from Choudary’s European network have left to fight in Syria. His guidance has resulted in an indoctrination of vulnerable youth who have devoted themselves to terrorism in the UK and abroad. » | Tuva Julie Engebrethsen Smith | Saturday, November 01, 2014

Anjem Choudary Bail Restrictions Relaxed by Judge
THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: Court hears that bail terms should allow Muslim extremist 'religious freedom'
One of Britain's most notorious hate clerics has been given permission to begin preaching on the streets again after a judge ruled he must be allowed "religious freedom".
Anjem Choudary was arrested on terror charges along with six others at the end of September.
The men are alleged to have been members of an organisation banned under the Terrorism Act and are said to have encouraged terrorism.
Howard Riddle, the chief magistrate and senior district judge, said a restriction on the men taking part in Muslim stalls to preach Islam and share religious material – known as Da’wah stalls - will end on December 18.
Mr Riddle said police allege the Da’wah stalls have been “misused to spread extremist literature”.
“The Da'wah stalls are a significant part of the current investigation,” the senior district judge said.
"However it is accepted that the Da'wah stall has an ostensible purpose to spread the word of Islam and to proselytise.
“Religious freedom is of considerable significance.” » | David Barrett, Home Affairs Correspondent | Monday, November 21, 2014
