Grandma's Secret Recipe for Sourdough Pear Cake. An Old but Special Pastry!

Aug 22, 2022 A very special dough makes this pear cake Grandma's secret recipe. Can you imagine that no one believed me that this pastry did not come from the baker? This pastry is just amazing. It was so amazingly delicious that I couldn't believe it myself. Try this recipe and you will see that your family will appreciate it!


Ingredients:

Dough:

20 grams of fresh yeast
100 g sugar (½ cup)
150 ml lukewarm milk (⅔ cup)
500 g flour (4 cups + 2 tbsp)
2 eggs
30 grams of butter
pinch of salt

Filling:

5 pears
5 tbsp raw sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 star anise
5 cloves
50 grams of butter
1 egg for brushing
powdered sugar [icing sugar]

Bake: 180°C / 356°F 20 minutes on top/bottom heat
