Matt Damon: 'Barack Obama Broke Up with Me
The movie star added that the pair "no longer see eye to eye," and that Mr Obama has "some explaining to do," particularly on the issues of drone strikes and fugitive National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden.
The comments were the latest in a series of swipes from the "Bourne Identity" star which have highlighted an undercurrent of disillusionment with the president among some of his more liberal backers in the entertainment industry.
Damon, in an interview with Black Entertainment Television, was asked how he felt Mr Obama was doing in his second term, and replied: "He broke up with me. There are a lot of things that I really question. The legality of the drone strikes, these NSA revelations, are like, you know... Jimmy Carter came out and said we don’t live in a democracy. That’s a little intense when an ex-president says that.
"So, you know, he’s got some explaining to do, particularly for a constitutional law professor.”

The masseur, referred to as John Doe in court papers obtained by Reuters and filed last Friday, claims that Travolta rubbed his leg, touched his genitals and tried to initiate at least one sex act inside a private bungalow at the exclusive hotel on Jan. 16.
Travolta's spokesman dismissed the claim in a statement as a "baseless lie."
"On the date when plaintiff claims John met him, John was not in California and it can be proved that he was on the East Coast," the statement said. "John intends to get this case thrown out and then he will sue the attorney and plaintiff for malicious prosecution."

Joe Eszterhas, known for his work on "Basic Instinct", wrote a nine-page letter claiming the actor said the holocaust was "mostly a lot of horse----" and that he was "happy" John Lennon was shot. His letter was published in full on The Wrap, a film industry website. "I've come to the conclusion that the reason you won't make The Maccabees is the ugliest possible one. You hate Jews," Eszterhas wrote.
The letter came after studio Warner Bros shelved Eszterhas' film "The Maccabees", a historical drama about 2nd-century Jewish warrior Judah Maccabee, which Gibson was to direct.
Eszterhas wrote: "You continually called Jews 'Hebes' and 'oven-dodgers' and 'Jewboys.' It seemed that most times when we discussed someone, you asked 'He's a Hebe, isn't he?'"
The Jewish community had voiced disapproval over Gibson's involvement with the film. In 2006 the actor and filmmaker was arrested for drink driving and an anti-Semitic outburst. THE GUARDIAN: Singer's drowning was caused by a combination of heart disease and cocaine use
The final autopsy report on Whitney Houston's death shows that the singer's body contained traces of cocaine, marijuana, the allergy medicine Benadryl, the muscle relaxant Flexeril and the anxiolyitc Xanax. When police arrived at her hotel room in Los Angeles on February 11, they also found an open bottle of champagne, prescription drug bottles, loose pills, and a small spoon with a "white crystal-like substance in it and a rolled up piece of white paper". » | Guardian Music | Thursday, April 05, 2012

The 48-year-old singer was found submerged in a tub in her room at the Beverly Hilton on Feb 12, the night before the Grammy Awards. The release of autopsy findings ends weeks of speculation about what killed her.
Los Angeles County Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey said the cause of death was accidental drowning due to the effects of heart disease and cocaine use.

MAIL ONLINE: Former Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron has spoken out against homosexuality and his comments are not sitting well with The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
Cameron, who is an evangelical Christian, made his comments yesterday on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight.
When asked by Morgan if he thinks homosexuality is a sin, the 41-year-old star did not mince his words.
'I think that it’s unnatural,' Cameron said. 'I think that it’s detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilisation.'
Cameron also spoke out against gay marriage adding: 'I believe that marriage was defined by God.
'Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve.
'One man, one woman for life 'til death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don’t think anyone else should either. So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don’t.'

CASMII*: Sean Ali Stone, son of the renowned Oscar winning director Oliver Stone, who has recently converted to Islam in Iran underlined that the western countries' claims about the threat facing them from Iran's nuclear program are mere "lies".
"My issue, really, is I don't want to see our country go to war, and, you know, if it's going to be over the potential threat that Iran is to Israel, I would say that's a complete lie," Stone explained in an interview with the CNN television network on Thursday.
"We are in a very dangerous situation - precarious situation - right now, if Israel gets the green light, and attacks preemptively Iran, the way that we preemptively attacked Iraq. That's what I'm most concerned about," he added.
Stone recently converted to Islam while in Iran, and has had meetings and discussions with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
When asked why a man of Jewish upbringing would be interested in spending time with a leader who calls the Holocaust a "big deception," Stone replied, "Regardless if he believes it or not, it does not justify - to our thinking at least - the occupation of the West Bank, and the fact that the Palestinian situation has not been resolved in that region.

THE AMERICAN MUSLIM: Muslims worldwide groaned upon hearing the news that Oliver Stone’s son, Sean, converted to Islam while filming a documentary in Iran.
Although we — the collective 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide — assume Sean Stone is a fine, upstanding man and sincerely wish him spiritual contentment, we earnestly ask Allah why Islam only attracts controversial celebs (in this case, the son of a controversial celeb) who further tarnish our already toxic brand name?
We plead to the heavens for an answer as to why he converted in Iran, of all places, which is currently the most feared and loathed country in America and about as popular as herpes.
We have patiently endured, oh, Allah.
We miraculously survived Mike Tyson, who converted to Islam while incarcerated, and then angrily threatened Lennox Lewis in an infamous interview: “I want your heart. I will eat his children. Praise be to Allah.”
Awesome.
Islam has the lowest favorability rating of any religion in America. If Islam were a world economy, it would be Greece. He told Page Six: “I’ve already experienced the reverse of anti-Semitism, having people within the film industry express a reluctance to work with me now that I have said a simple prayer, ‘There is no God but God, and Mohammed is his messenger.’ I am sure I have [bleeped] off some powerful people.” Speaking over dinner at Barrio 47, Sean told us, “Having read the Koran and having been around the Islamic culture, especially in Iran, I do believe that Mohammed is a prophet of the same god worshipped by other religions.
“I am of a Jewish bloodline, a baptized Christian who accepts Christ’s teachings, the Jewish Old Testament and the Holy Koran. I believe there is one God, whether called Allah or Jehovah or whatever you wish to name him. He creates all peoples and religions. I consider myself a Jewish Christian Muslim.

Sean was born with the middle name of Christopher, which means “bearer of Christ.” He has now, however, changed his name to Sean Ali Stone, because he has converted to Islam. In what seems a nod to family tradition, he did not just convert to Islam, he did it in a country run by the kind of tyrants his dad loves, namely Iran.
Young Sean explains his new faith in good old-fashioned addled-celebrity style. On the one hand: “I have said a simple prayer, ‘There is no God but God, and Mohammed is his messenger.’” On the other:
“I am of a Jewish bloodline, a baptized Christian who accepts Christ’s teachings, the Jewish Old Testament and the Holy Koran. I believe there is one God, whether called Allah or Jehovah or whatever you wish to name him. He creates all peoples and religions. I consider myself a Jewish Christian Muslim.” It will be diverting to see how young Mr. Stone’s new Muslim friends will respond to his theological insights.
It is also worth noting that Sean’s conversion, according to him, followed hard upon his reading of the Koran. Stone converted to Islam at the office of Shia cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Nasseri Dowlatabadi in the city of Isfahan last week.
On receiving his award, Stone expressed his thanks to Iranians and hoped to make joint films to help improve relations between Iran and the United States, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Friday.
