I was heartened that Dr Ashenden agrees with want I have stated on this website so many times that there is no such thing as “Islamism”. The whole concept is a nonsense. There is Islam. That is all. What misled Westerners think of when they refer to “Islamists” is devout, fundamentalist Muslims who wish to live in full accordance with the tenets of their faith.
