Trump’s diesel deal with Putin is a move sought "out of desperation" and the "USA has lost its moral compass" by trading long-term security for "short-term gains", says former Conservative defence minister, Tobias Ellwood.
Trump must surely be one of Vladimir Putin’s assets. The Kremlin and Putin must surely have kompromat on him. Add to this Trump’s insatiable greed—he and his unsavoury family want to profit from any number of possible deals with Russia—deals as yet unknown, and add into the mix Putin’s ruthlessness, and the West has what must surely be described as a treasonous scenario on its hands. Trump is betraying America’s allies and the West. Clearly, Putin is the puppeteer; Trump, the puppet. Put another way, Putin is the marionettist; Trump, the marionette.
