Considering the appalling atrocities committed against Jews in Hitler’s Germany, and how terribly they suffered and starved in the Third Reich’s concentration camps and death camps, bearing in mind the Shoah, it is all the more incomprehensible that Israel of all nations—a nation which was set up because of the Jews’ dreadful suffering—could now be so cruel and heartless to the Palestinians, more especially the poor, starving children, that they can deprive these people their sustenance. Collective punishment for the crimes committed by HAMAS is no just solution. Further, that the western world can look on and allow this to happen is as disturbing as it is unfathomable. – © Mark Alexander
