BBC News reported last Thursday that as a result of the allegations, the spy has been banned from entering the United Kingdom.
According to British officials, the spy was reportedly a 50-year-old man and a member of the Chinese Communist Party. The alleged spy also reportedly secretly worked for the CCP’s United Front Work Department.
The access the Chinese spy had was reportedly a “serious breach of national security”, according to officials.
