A bleak picture of a generation of young British Muslims radicalised by anti-Western views and misplaced multicultural policies is shown in a survey published today.Mark Alexander
The study found disturbing evidence of young Muslims adopting more fundamentalist beliefs on key social and political issues than their parents or grandparents.
Forty per cent of Muslims between the ages of 16 and 24 said they would prefer to live under sharia law in Britain, a legal system based on the teachings of the Koran. The figure among over-55s, in contrast, was only 17 per cent.
In some countries, people found guilty under sharia law face penalties such as beheading, stoning, the severing of a hand or being lashed.
The study, by the Right-wing think-tank Policy Exchange, also found a significant minority who expressed backing for Islamic terrorism. Young, British Muslims 'getting more radical' by Graeme Wilson in The Telegraph

The shallowness which passes for informed opinion in both the UK and US is truly unbelievable. How is it that we are led by oportunistic morons. I guess it really is true, ideology blinds the fathfull to reality!
Just Another Richard:
How is it that we are led by oportunistic morons.
How? Because we allow ourselves to be led by them.
Mark Steyn writes about this in America alone. This is what happens when Marxist place a victims heirachy with a Disnified version of Islamic history in school texts.
I do not know of any American who thinks Jim Crow was a great idea. Jim Crow was odious but it did not have amputations and killing of rape victims. I am sorry to be so blunt.
Maybe it is time to deMarxify the Educational system in the UK.
How? Because we allow ourselves to be led by them.
I'm not so sure about that Mark. They do after all have almost total control over the organs of the dissemination of information in our societies. If they don't approve, it just doesn't get out there.
Do you really think that wonderful Mr Dave Camaron will be the one to lead us out of the chaos which approaches...NO, of course you don't, not a snowballs chance in hell, we all know it; but the ideologically faithful are putting their hopes and faith in a class clown, all the while willfully oblivious to the danger ahead.
If you doubt my assertion as to the control of the flow of information, cast your mind back no more than one week, to the Jade Goody fiasco, and how that was played out to the exclusion of all else, especially the Dispatches programme, which revealed what we few have known for some time. The truth was simply squashed. The same with the debate between Ken Livingstone and Daniel Pipes. The wrong information, the wrong result will not be tolerated. Britain is an authoritarian state, no if ands or buts about it. It just doesn't look like it from the inside, as it is all handled so deftly. Dave is just the latest compassionate face, though certain parties are still pinning their hopes on Gordon, but that's a bleak prospect even for an optimist these days.
When the shit hits the fan, these people and their enablers need to be on everybody's shit list.
Beakerkin is right, at the top of that list needs to be all the Marxists.

The only problem is that these incompetent fools will fade into the background and blame someone else for what they have allowed to happen. They are too cowardly and too disingenuous to stand up and take the responsibility for their own actions. We know what these politicians are, but I would not want to defile Mark's blog by stating it here.
Anton:
That was brilliant! Who is Douglas Murray? Please advise.
Mark
Douglas Murray is a journalist working for, I think, The Times.
Fjordman's latest essay on Gates of Vienna is a good explanation of why we allow these morons to govern us. We in these parts of the blogosphere are very much a minority, unfortunately.
We in these parts of the blogosphere are very much a minority, unfortunately.
This is true that we Infidel Bloggers have the role of Churchill in the 1930s -- but like the 1930s, a major war is in its early stages that cannot be ignored or wished away by the Leftists.
When the s*** really does hit the fan, our team will rule the West -- The public demand war horses and the Unconditional Surrender of the enemy.
Cheers, Ronbo
We’ve written about this trend. As those who chanted the chorus “it’s only a few” tried to discount each individual act, we have explained the roots of the problem: Islam.
Democracy in Arab countries has proved that the so-called minority is a majority. Bush’s theory goes out the window. We predicted that!
When Muslims actually study their religion they become inflamed and militant, not moderate. The idea that true Islam is peaceful goes out the window. We predicted that!
I remember after every act of Islamic violence the left used to say “what about McVeigh?” Not anymore. Obviously it is clear that Islam is unique in fueling irrational hate and violence against all others. We’ve explained that!
Even Bernard Lewis is becoming aware of the problem. But we’ve been there for years. We predicted history.
As Ronbo notes, when people become disillusioned with the current leadership we, and people like us, will be there. Let’s keep educating more and more people.
Keep up the good work.
Jason:

Yes, we have explained that. But we have to keep beating the drum. Many are still in denial. Sadly. Especially, it seems, the Establishment.
Where is all the money going to come from, and the manpower for that matter, to police what is going to become an increasingly difficult problem to police. Imagine what it's going to be like when the Muslim population increases greatly, which it is bound to do!
It beggars belief that our leaders have allowed our freedom and security to be placed on the roulette wheel as they have. Who told them that were empowered to give away all we have held so dear for so, so long?

Why Uncle Karl of course, after all, just like him, they are all so much more intelligent than the rest of us. They FEEL the pain of the world, unlike all those silly Christians and Hindus and Jews, and just about anyone else who professes a faith, who isn't one of their club. Can't you see their compassion...I can. I mean, who needs spirituality when you can worship yourself!
Narcissistic bastards, every last one of them. The blood price for this round is going to be enormous.

How right you are! We ain't seen nothin' yet!
You know what I find amazing, Mark? We continuously hear of planned attacks and attempted attacks that have been thwarted. Yet people seem to act as if there is no threat because these attacks didn’t happen. I’m stunned – totally stunned. For these people attempted attacks are a non-reality.
I can’t keep track of all the planned attacks in the UK and USA that have been uncovered in the last five years. We all know we won’t always be this lucky and we know the vast amount of resources that need to be deployed --- and wouldn’t be if we didn’t let the problem into our country!
But people seem only to learn from experience and not inference.
For example, the Algerian terrorists who had hijacked a plane and wanted to fly it into the Eiffel Tower failed because they relied on coercing the French pilots. Thus, terrorists solved that problem and 9/11 was the result. As a consequence people thought that Muslims only had a problem with America. If it was the other way around people would be talking about Islam’s problem with France. They just can’t say it’s Islam.
And, of course, we remember Richard Read, the shoe-bomber. He doesn’t count because he was stopped. The recent plan for a multi-plane London attack is almost forgotten by Americans. People should be up-in-arms about attempted attacks almost as much as actual attacks. One really wonders if people must be slapped in the head to get them to think “oh, you don’t like me?” Except PC leftists say “did I upset you?”
Some drunken actor says some stupid anti-Semitic remarks and there’s an outcry; the Iranian dictator talks about a 2nd holocaust (1st by his counting) and people say “let’s not jump to conclusions.”
Am I dreaming? Is this the twilight zone?

Yes, amazing, isn't it? We cut these barbarians so much slack it defies common sense. People have become afraid to voice their opinions, afraid to utter the truth. The result: our future lies in the balance.
Am I dreaming? Is this the twilight zone?
No, Jason. You're not dreaming. This really is the "twilight zone"!
In all my life, I have never been so troubled as I have been in recent years, and still am, by the incompetence of our leaders. There was a time when I could put my head on my pillow at night and know that all was well and taken care of. Alas, no longer. These days, all thinking people have to feel a certain sense of uneasiness about our future.
Things needn't be like this. We have brought this upon ourselves by a mistaken experiment in social engineering, an experiment which is destined to end in death, destruction, and tears.
I hear ya!
It's good to know I'm not alone, Jason.
Mark,
I have come around to sharing some of Robert Spencer's thinking that nations must outlaw religions mixing with politics. Put another way, the separation between church (or whatever) versus state must be complete and forbidden by whatever level of law is most important in that state. Since I do not know England well enough to offer comments, I will illustrate with America.
We have left wing churches and right wing churches, all trying to mix themselves into politics, into the affairs of state. Islam is the quintessential example. Blocking that forces churches (etc.) out of their camel-nosing but leaves them totally free to practice their religions, but politics free. For example, a church prosecuted for mixing would start by losing its tax-exempt status. The next time the loss would be vital.
Only Islam forces the fusion of religion and state. Our Constitution forbids laws which mix state and religion. It does not forbid their separation. In place, such laws could crack down on mosques which preach their toxic politicizing. They could keep on rug kissing, etc., but they would be prosecutable when they step into politicization.
This idea has merit, and it certainly has not been tried. Given the quality of the men and women who fill our state and federal governments, I am sure that they lack the spine. However, we are all working toward a much better tomorrow, when men and women regrow spines.
