Islamic State Leader Baghdadi Goads West in Rare Audio Statement

THE TELEGRAPH: In what is believed to be his first public message in seven months, Isil chief warns Israel attacks are imminent

The leader of Islamic State has released an alternative Christmas message goading the West, saying [the] do not dare send troops to their territory.

In a rare audio statement - his first in seven months - Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi said Western countries have "learned from" previous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Crusaders and Jews don't dare to come on the ground because they were defeated in Iraq and Afghanistan," he said in his 23-minute statement.

The leader, who has rarely been pictured and has not been heard from since he was believed to have been injured in an airstrike by Iraqi forces in October, Russian or US-led airstrikes had failed to weaken the group, which was only "expanding and getting stronger".

"Be confident that God will grant victory to those who worship him, and hear the good news that our state is doing well. The more intense the war against it, the purer it becomes and the tougher it gets," he said.

He also called on Saudi citizens - the biggest contributor to Isil ranks - to "rise up" against their government as he dimissed the kingdom's newly formed Muslim coalition against the caliphate.

He also said Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) would soon be in Palestine to establish an Islamic state there. "Jews, soon you shall hear from us in Palestine which will become your grave," the voice, purporting to be Baghdadi, is heard saying. » | Josie Ensor | Saturday, December 26, 2015

'Islam Worse Than Nazism, Poses Clear and Present Danger to America's Existence'

CHRISTIAN TODAY: Islam is not a religion but a "totalitarian political ideology" worse than Nazism which poses "the clearest and most present danger to America's existence."

This assertion was made by an Egyptian woman who used the pen name Magda Borham in an open letter addressed to the United States and other Western countries, Charisma News reported.

Borham warned in her letter that America faces an Islamic invasion through "immigration."

She said having lived in Egypt for more than 30 years, she has come to know the true meaning of Islam and the mentality of Muslims.

"If you listen to the cries of the Copts of Egypt, the Christians of Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Pakistan and all the other Muslim countries, you will hear the descriptions of the horrors of Islam," she wrote.

Borham said it is very important for Americans to know that "Islam is a supremacist, racist political and social ideology wrapped in a thin peel of religious rituals."

She branded Islam as "worse than Nazism and fascism systems combined without any doubt" since it seeks domination and supremacy over all other systems and religions.

She warned Americans that Muslims will "use your own democratic laws and values against you." » | Hazel Torres | Friday, October 30, 2015

Gaddafi Threatens to Attack Europe over Airstrikes

THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has threatened to carry out attacks against "homes, offices, families, in Europe" unless NATO stops its campaign of airstrikes against his regime in Libya.

The Libyan leader, sought by the International Criminal Court for a brutal crackdown on anti-government protesters, delivered the warning in a telephone message played to thousands of supporters gathered in the main square of the capital Tripoli.

It was one of the largest pro-government rallies in recent months, signaling that Gaddafi can still muster significant support. A green cloth in Libya's national colour, several hundred meters long and held aloft by supporters, snaked above the crowd filling Tripoli's Green Square.

A series of powerful explosions later rattled the heart of the capital, apparently new NATO airstrikes, as Gaddafi supporters cheered, honked horns and fired into the air in the street. Black smoke could be seen rising from the area near the Colonel's Bab al-Aziziya compound.

Gaddafi spoke from an unknown location in a sign of concern over his safety. Addressing the West, he warned that Libyans might take revenge for NATO bombings.

"These people [the Libyans] are able to one day take this battle ... to Europe, to target your homes, offices, families, which would become legitimate military targets, like you have targeted our homes," he said.

"We can decide to treat you in a similar way," he said of the Europeans. "If we decide to, we are able to move to Europe like locusts, like bees. We advise you to retreat before you are dealt a disaster." » | Patrick Sawer | Saturday, July 02, 2011
