Henri Lafont, the Godfather of the Gestapo | Documentary

Premiered May 21, 2023 | In June 1940, while France is collapsing and preparing to live on German time, the underworld chooses its side. Thus, Henri Chamberlin, known as “Henri Lafont”, is one of the first French people to offer his services to Germans. Quickly promoted to chief of a police department located at 93, rue Lauriston, Lafont gathered around him a team of professional criminals. Soon joined by corrupt police officers, these mobsters will take advantage of their situation to harass the Jews, loot the country and torture the Resistance fighters.
