BELFAST TELEGRAPH: The man suspected of killing seven people in al Qaida-linked attacks in France is dead, according to France's interior minister.
Claude Gueant [sic] said Mohamed Merah, who claims links to al Qaida, jumped from a window after police entered the apartment in Toulouse and found him holed up in the bathroom.
Police and the suspect exchanged fire before the 24-year-old died.
Two policemen were injured in the shootout with Merah, said Mr Gueant [sic].
The Minister said Merah had died after jumping out of the apartment window "shooting at everybody".
