Misery Is It in This Dawn to Be Alive, and to Be Young Is Very Hell!

The decision of the British government – an excuse for a government in my opinion – to exclude this wonderful, enlightened, and very erudite Dutch politician from the shores of the United Kingdom marks a turning point – a sad turning point – in the history of these isles.

The United Kingdom has for centuries been known throughout the world as a refuge for people with all kinds of opinions which would have got them into trouble at home. We have welcomed all sorts of people to this country, knowing that their opinions were unsavoury to many. Now, after twelve years of Labour government (should that be NuLabour government?) we have reneged on our wonderful past and our traditions; and all in the name of political correctness in general, and in the name of Islam in particular. We have abandoned our principles.

Tens of thousands of people have gone to war to ensure that freedom of speech was enshrined in our way of life, enshrined in our ‘constitution'; yet this fact means nothing to the people that now rule us. Our politicians are as infantile as they are spineless, spunkless, and craven!

The prime minister – the overweight, pudgy specimen that he is – could have intervened; but he didn’t feel it was necessary to do so. Consequently, Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, better known as Jackboot Jacqui (alas, not my name for her – wish it were!) has shown that she is unfit to hold the office she does. She should be jackbooted out of that office – forthwith! She is unfit for purpose!

As for Lord Ahmed, he has got far, far too much to say for himself. He should be silenced. He is, if I am not greatly mistaken, one of the ones who is, behind the scenes, pulling the strings.

That we, now, in Great Britain (that’s a minsnomer if ever I heard one!) are allowing Muslims to call the shots is not only a disgrace, it is a harbinger of the dark days that lie ahead of us. Islam is not famous for its forward, enlightened thinking; from now on, unless this ludicrous decision is reversed, and soon, neither will be the United Kingdom’s. The UK has just taken a turn down the road of darkness, down the road of dhimmitude, down the road of benightedness.

We are being led by the most craven of political animals. First of all, Gordon Brown ruins the economy; now he and his cronies have ruined the Britons' right to freedom of speech. Shame on him and on his government. Shame on the damn lot of them! – ©Mark

Mark,
Of late I find myself despairing of any hope for the West to survive the onslaught of Islam. Furthermore, I find myself glad that I'm not young anymore. I don't have my entire life ahead of me to watch the onslaught and to be subjected to it for as long as will the young (and the unborn, for that matter).

As you have pointed out in this fine essay, we have no leadership with any guts. No, indeed! Instead, we have leaders who are oh-so-willing to play voluntary dhimmis and drag the rest of us down the slide.

More and more, I find myself wishing not to see the Internet stories which, in plethora, show me the dark and grim future for the entire West. There are very, very few bright spots now as the West is self-destructing.

I understand that Geert Wilders is coming to the UK -- no matter the disinvitation. Is that information correct? I haven't been online much today because of my work schedule.

Still, the very fact that the UK is afraid -- afraid! -- to let him come to present his "case" is a bad sign that the UK simply will not stand up against Islam. Of course, surely one factor is fear of the hordes of Moslems within the UK. Is it really possible that the UK will not preserve itself and its traditions? Apparently so!

Tomorrow, I shall be interviewing Ayaan Hirsi Ali (apologies for the plug here). A few years ago, she stated that she was optimistic as to the outcome of Islam's defeating the West. I hope to ask her if she still feels that same optimism, particularly now that Geert Wilders is being treated so shabbily and under legal attack.

Always:

The news that Geert Wilders, one of the West's greatest politicians, has been turned away at the door of the United Kingdom fills me with foreboding.

"Guts" is all that it takes; yet nobody who leads us has ANY.

This is a very, very bad sign. It shows us that our future is not in our hands; it shows us that Islam has the upper hand. Our future is not ours for the taking!

There are very, very few bright spots now as the West is self-destructing.

There are NO bright spots. None! This is the sad thing.

Jackboot Jacqui is a disgrace to the United Kingdom. She belongs in a primary school, nay in a kindergarten, not in the Home Office. She is unworthy of the office she holds. She should be sacked! She is not fit for purpose.

Yes, yes indeed! The UK is sorely "afraid". Sorely afraid of Islam. Yet Islam is a house built on sand. It is a house ripe for the crumbling!

As for your interview of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, count me in. I shall be there with you, listening intently to each and every word she uters. Good luck with the interview!

Today, the West took a sad turn for the worse. The New Dark Age of which I wrote took a step nearer. A great step nearer.
