What is particularly surprising in this newspaper article is the comment made by Cardinal Tauran that all religions are equal. Did you ever think you would hear a cardinal stating such a thing? TIMESONLINE: The Vatican has given warning that the West's efforts at inter-faith dialogue must not be “held hostage" by Islam and are in danger of becoming "obsessed" with it at the expense of other religions.
Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue, said that the Church “has to have regard for all religions". He said that the council had this week discussed new guidelines for inter-faith dialogue.
“What was interesting about our discussions was that we did not concentrate on Islam because in a way we are being held hostage by Islam a little bit," he told the Catholic website Terrasanta.net. "Islam is very important, but there are also other great Asiatic religious traditions. Islam is one religion."
Pope Benedict XVI has convened an unprecedented Catholic-Muslim forum for October. He has also sought to make amends for his controversial speech at Regensburg University two years ago, when he appeared to suggest that Islam was irrational and inherently violent. First Isslam have to be a religion,and is not at all a religion..that start badly for a dialogue between religion !
They want Supremacy on everybody on earth,destroy all others faiths,cultures,civilizations it's what they drive them in all theirs actions !How dialogue with a bunch of ignare killer bédouin from the desert,who deserve no respect at all,who done nothing for the better of humanity at any time in their story,except bring Slavery for Hundred of Millions of people and misery....
I hope the Pope and Christianity in general will not loose time with these people anymore,and begin to call thing with their Real name,Isslam a new political Nazi Movement and the worst of all of them,who want destroy all what we stand.Began our Christian Jihad and a Christian Crusade to destroy issalm for ever and ever !
Otherwise it's christianity who will disappear and all it's achievement !

Yes, it is a supremacist religion. That's for sure. And yes, they have done little or nothing for humanity. Yet we in the West fail to understand that we are dealing with a nihilist ideology. That's the amazing thing!

History shows us that Islam douses the light of freedom wherever and whenever it takes power. Yet the powers that be in the West refuse to accept this. They refuse to heed the warnings from history. That's the sad thing.
