Moral Judgement

SOCIAL SENSE: For quite some time, I’ve been bothered by the fact there are people migrating to the United States, and who after living here for the required period of time, petition the United States to become naturalized citizens. Then, at the naturalization ceremony where every applicant swears an oath of loyalty to our Constitution, immigrants promise to be citizens of good repute, joining with us as full members of our society, enjoying the benefits of freedom, and pledging to defend America against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Subsequently, many of these people begin working in opposition to our society of laws. Some of them demonstrate actively, others are covert in their work to refute their voluntary obligation to obey our secular laws, claiming that their religious law demands their first devotion.
