The ultimatum from the European Commission — the first delivered to a potential EU country — solicited a promise to speed up domestic reforms, but the Turkish Prime Minister insisted that the Cyprus issue could be solved only by Greece and Greek Cypriots. “Don’t expect us to open our ports and airports until the isolation of the Turkish Cypriot state is lifted,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

Turkey, please keep up your anti-Greek Cypriot stance and stay out of Europe until you are purged of your simmering anachronistic tendencies.

With Bush now weakened, and Blair, too, we might have a chance of keeping Turkey out. Those two have cocked up in Iraq, and they'd like to cock up in Europe, too.
The trouble is they don't seem to understand Islam and the intentions of Muslims, and they don't appear to want to learn either.
Another 70 million Muslims with the right of free movement and settlement within Europe is about the last thing we need.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why our leaders want Turkey in Europe. British politicians are the most pro-Turkey's entry. They are fools! What do they imagine the end of this will be? It will all definitely end in tears! I'll guarantee anyone that. It will be the undoing to Western civilization. Our leaders are shameless for wanting to bring this about.
