NEW: This book will be a disturbing read, but a great one!

Londonistan
Londonistan (US Version)

The suicide bombings carried out in London in 2005 by British Muslims revealed an alarming network of Islamist terrorists and their sympathizers. Under the noses of British intelligence, London became the European hub for the promotion, recruitment and financing of Islamist terror and extremism - so much so that it has been mockingly dubbed 'Londonistan'. In this ground-breaking book, Melanie Phillips pieces together the story of how Londonistan developed as a result of the collapse of British self-confidence and national identity and its resulting paralysis by multiculturalism and appeasement. The result is an ugly climate in Britain of irrationality and defeatism, which now threatens to undermine the alliance with America and imperil the defence of the free world.

"Melanie Phillips’s Londonistan is a last-minute warning for Britain and for much of the free world ... This book is powerful and frightening, but also courageous. In dictatorships, you need courage to fight evil; in the free world, you need courage to see the evil." — Natan Sharansky

Yes, it is indeed heartening to observe a mainstream journalist tackling these problems. I'm sure that the BBC must love her! LOL!

She is a woman of intellect and integrity. She has a sound grip on the problems facing us, and she is not afraid to voice her opinions, either. That is, in itself, refreshing.

BTW, is my book in that local library yet? If not, why not order a copy of that, too? That will surely get the staff convulsing!

Melanie Phillips endeavours seem of sisyphusion proportions, for she is truely going against the current of mainstream oppinion. A brave voice and an anchor of sanity to rational minds. We need more like her, much more.

As to our current governors, well, yours more so than mine, I dispair, they are so clueless they are dangerous, but rest assured, when the shit hits the fan, they will be out of there, on the first plane out.

Is it that bad in Europe already? If so, then I think that the UK should get out of the Union forthwith. To think I used to be such a fan!

If what you say is true, then the Europeans must have gone bonkers! They don't even have the will to preserve themselves and their culture(s). They must be turning Europe into a police state!

It's been pretty bad in the UK under Tony Blair; but even he hasn't made laws that Draconian.

Please elucidate, Bld. Maybe I am being obtuse, but I don't quite understand what you're driving at.

I have not read my copy as of this writing. It is heartening to see the numbers of books on this and other related subject that are being published.
