Spooning* in the Rain

*Spooning is a rather dated, but delightful, way of describing kissing and cuddling. I first heard this term as a young boy when my ever so posh English neighbour—a doctor’s wife—used it whilst speaking to my mother over the garden wall! I was baffled by it at the time. I have never forgotten the word. It is such a genteel word. Far different from the coarse descriptions so often used by people today. | For this delightful picture, I should like to thank Pinterest.
