Are Allah and God One and the Same?

I'd like to share this important essay from a very good colleague of mine, Pastorius. It is a most informative essay; and it shows that there are some changes ahead in Europe, coming from the Danes. One cannot help but be impressed with the courage the Danes are showing in the face of the pressure of Islam on Denmark. Many other Western European countries could take a few lessons from the Danes!
In yet another sign that Europe is waking up to its problem with Islamofascism, the official church of the state of Denmark has announced that Muslim Imams are not welcome in their churches, and that Muslims and Christians do not direct their worship at the same entity (report from Dymphna at Gates of Vienna):

The state church, Folkekirken, which is Denmark’s official evangelical Lutheran denomination. No one has to join, and you can opt out of paying any tax for its upkeep, though if you’re a lazy or indifferent type and don’t phone the local municipality, you will be billed for church maintenance. What’s interesting is that while eighty four per cent of Danes pay the tax and are official members, only about five per cent of these citizens are actually church-goers.

" ... Imams are not welcome in Danish state churches," says a new network of Islam-critical priests and theological experts.

The purpose is to state that Christians and Muslims do not believe in the same God, and that the church and the mosque are not religious equals says the new network of 60 priests and theological experts.

Well-known priests and opinion-makers such as Niels Højlund, Sørine Godtfredsen, Edith Thingstrup, Morten Kvist and Katrine Winkel Holm are among the prominent members.

According to the Newfounded Network admitting imams into Danish churches is problematic.
The Danish People’s Church cannot agree with the imams without betraying the Lord Christ — who according to Islam is nothing but an inferior “prophet”, subordinated to Mohammad.

When priests and imams are praying together, they are in essence ridiculing the Gospel, the network states. At the same time it distances itself from recent events such as religious councils with imams.

Bishops and imams are not religious colleagues separated only by different merchandise. It is of paramount importance that priests in the Danish Church make that fact very clear — as well as studying and criticizing Islam, says the network — which at the same time underscores that the intention is to criticize Islam, not the individual Muslim. I'd like to know what my readers think about this.

I guess they don't, Mark.

The two positions of Jesus as Saviour, and Jesus as minor prophet, are entirely incompatible.

Yes indeed!

“In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary” (Sura 5:17).

Well that puts a dagger into the heart of the Christian faith then, doesn't it?

This is why I have kept on saying that 'interfaith dialogue' is meaningless, and will bear no fruit.

Our Christian God says that we are not to worship idols and false gods. To allow Imans to worship their god in our Churches would be to fly in the face of what God has said. We are to love our enemies by wanting what is best for them, but that does not mean we are to defy God and let them worship their gods in our consecrated Christian churches.

Here, here, JudahQ! Here, here!

Pastorius really laid it out in this essay of his. I may have to post it as well--once my end-of-school-term obligations let me breathe again.

Judah Q,
Great comments here from you. You've added valuable information.

Muhammad appealed to the Jews to have them accept Allah as the same God the Creator as their own, God of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael...

And when they didn't accept MTP's doctrines, MTP began the slaughter.

Yes, it is a great essay; and an important one, too. More people should read it. When you've got the time, it would be a swell (I love that rather dated word!) idea to post it on your website, too.

You ought to give my essay on the Holocaust a blast, too. That would set your regulars going! Imagine Mr Ducky's reaction to that! :-)

judahq,.. if we can see it, read it, understand the significance of it, ... why can't those entrusted to lead the Churches see it too?

There are none so blind ..., Bld! There are none so blind ...!

JudahQ and Mark, I am glad you both layed out the distinctions and the verses which show the contradictions between Christianity and Islam. These things need to be known.

Another thing that needs to be known is that, if you ask a Muslim if Christ died on the cross, they will tell you "No,"

JUDAS DIED IN HIS PLACE.

I can think of nothing more blasphemous than that idea.

Now, admittedly, this is not in the Koran or the Hadiths (from what I understand), but it is the common belief in the Islamic world.

BLD,

You asked: "if we can see it (the differences between Islam and Christianity), read it, understand the significance of it, ..
why can't those entrusted to lead the Churches see it too?"

My answer? Ecumenicism has taken over the church. It is the church's form of political correctness. The church seems to believe that it is more important to build bridges between the faiths, than to clearly articulate what we, as Christians believe.

The church seems to have come to believe that it is more important to instill tolerance for the beliefs of others than to instill a solid foundation for the faith of its parishioners.

In short, it seems the Christian church has taken more to serving other religions, than it has to serving its own faith.

There is no reason to tolerate Islam. If Islam says that women ought to be treated as slaves, as it does, than there is no more reason to tolerate Islam than there was reason to tolerate the slavemasters and slavery-justifiers of the American South in the 1860's.

Yes, when I worked in the Middle East, I was told by some that it was Judas, and yet by others that it was a man who looked like Jesus. Take your pick!

But as you say, from a Christian perspective, this is indeed blasphemous. In fact, how blasphemous can anyone get? It sticks a dagger right into the heart of Christianity, because it takes away one of its foundation stones. It's keystone, if you will.

So beautifully and perfectly stated! Bravo, my friend! Bravo!

Thanks, Mark. That's a real compliment coming from you.

Shame on you Mark, for I know you know, that Mr Ducky is one of the faithful, so 'tis obvious, 'twould be but water off a ducks back! Self evident I would have thought

Shame on me, huh? Oops! Have I blundered?

I know you to be a wise man, my friend. I shall consider myself duly chastised.

I'll try and do better next time.

No Mark. It's the duck that blunders, for no matter how much the evidence conflicts with his view, no matter how often he gets his head handed to him on a platter, by Beakerkin, Pastorious et all, his faith shines forth for all to worship, if only they weren't all so dumb, for he sees the light. I guess, a duck's gotado, what a duck's gotado. Quack! Quack!

Though I guess I must conceed one point, he does provide amusment for many. I guess that is some accomplishment.

Could that last post be a guess too far? hhmmmnnn? Something to ponder upon.

But DUCKY, surely not, for that be a waste of time.

Yes, I fear so. Many a man has wasted time trying to knock some sense into him, but to no avail.

I agree with Pastorius, and the process has been ongoing for decades:

Ecumenicism has taken over the church. It is the church's form of political correctness. The church seems to believe that it is more important to build bridges between the faiths, than to clearly articulate what we, as Christians believe.

About Mr. Ducky....He is a leftist troll and a utopian to boot. I occasionally try to reason with him--to no avail.
