Germany: Sleepy Sumte to Be Inundated with Refugees

Christian Fabel, the Mayor of Sumte, a German village population of 102, was making hurried preparations on Tuesday, following the news that his village could receive up to 750 refugees.

The world is full of unnecessary suffering and deaths. Let us at least try to understand each other better and minimise the suffering and tragic deaths. One death is one death too many! Can’t we do better than this? / Die Welt ist voller unnötigem Leid und Tod. Versuchen wir wenigstens, einander besser zu verstehen und das Leid und die tragischen Todesfälle zu minimieren. Ein Tod ist ein Tod zu viel! Können wir es nicht besser machen? / Le monde est rempli de souffrances et de morts inutiles.
