Oct 5, 2025 | After being deployed to Portland, Oregon and Washington DC in recent weeks and months, US President Donald Trump has said Chicago is next to have the National Guard sent to its streets.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker said the president was abusing his power and that Trump was "attempting to manufacture a crisis".

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said: "Amidst ongoing violent riots and lawlessness, that local leaders like [Gov] Pritzker have refused to step in to quell, President Trump has authorized 300 national guardsmen to protect federal officers and assets".


If things go on like this in America, civil war could well ensue. This is quite possibly what Trump wants in order to complete his goal of turning America into a fascist dictatorship — a country ruled by one party and even one family.
