Il a fallu dix longues secondes à l’actrice pour trouver les bons mots. Ceux qu’elle estime appropriés pour dépeindre la situation politique aux États-Unis. De passage au Festival international du film de Saint-Sébastien, au Pays basque espagnol, Angelina Jolie a été invitée à commenter l’actualité américaine. Plus précisément, le débat soulevé par le récent licenciement de l’animateur vedette Jimmy Kimmel.

À la journaliste espagnole qui l’interroge sur sa position « d’artiste » face à ces atteintes supposées au droit fondamental de la liberté d’expression, l’actrice concède sa perplexité. « C’est évidemment une question très difficile, commence-t-elle. Brad Pitt has sued his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for selling her stake in a French winery they had bought together – and where they got married – to a Russian businessman.

In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, Pitt said Jolie had broken their agreement not to sell their interests in Château Miraval without the other’s consent by selling her stake to a unit of Stoli Group, a spirits maker controlled by oligarch Yuri Shefler.

The Oscar-winning couple had in 2008 bought a controlling interest in Miraval, in the village of Correns in south-east France, between Marseille and Nice. They were married there in 2014. » | Reuters | Friday, February 18, 2022
