LIVE: King Charles Leads Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph

Nov 8, 2026 | King Charles III leads the Royal Family and the nation in the annual Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London. The King will be joined by senior members of the Royal Family, political leaders, military personnel and veterans to honour those who lost their lives serving Britain and the Commonwealth.

The National Service of Remembrance includes the traditional two-minute silence at 11am, the laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph and the Royal British Legion's annual march past, involving thousands of veterans. The annual ceremony remembers the sacrifices made during the First and Second World Wars and subsequent conflicts, paying tribute to generations of servicemen and women.
