It is so, so sad that people have had to suffer and have to go on suffering in so many countries simply for being attracted to and loving another person of the same sex. And, unfortunately, in these troubling times in which the far-right is growing in strength, I detect that this intolerance and rejection is growing anew. It is to be hoped that western governments will be strong enough to stand up to these dark, unenlightened, and bigoted forces. — © Mark Alexander
