Abbas condemns what he describes as killing, destruction, starvation and displacement in Gaza, and warns against what he calls another Nakba. He also raises concerns over settlement expansion, violence and the fragmentation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
He calls for implementation of the second phase of the Gaza roadmap, the reunification of Gaza and the West Bank under Palestinian authority, and renewed efforts toward a two-state solution. Abbas also discusses Palestinian institutional reforms, upcoming elections, recognition of the State of Palestine and his call for full UN membership.
The rejection of visas by the Trump regime for the Palestinian delegation is reprehensible! As is the denial of Palestinian statehood. These poor people are being treated worse than animals. It is inhuman and a total and utter disgrace. Quit the genocide! — © Mark Alexander
