Speaking to Radio 4’s PM, BBC Royal Occasion presenter David Dimbleby said the planned visit is an “embarrassment” and it is not “an appropriate time to go”.
The veteran broadcaster also said he has “pity” for the King because “he’s at mercy of the government”.
