Did anyone ever really think that the Bullshitter-in-Chief had ended any wars? Giorgia Meloni seems to believe that Trump deserves the Nobel peace prize. But she is clearly deluded. Someone ought to whisper in her ear that Nobel peace prizes should be awarded to peacemakers, not warmongers and chaos-sowers! And certainly not to those who use faux peace deals as material to enrich their bank accounts through grift.
Trump’s latest money-making scheme, monetizing faux, non-existent peace deals by setting up the Board of Peace, and charging $1bn for the privilege of membership, is surely a way to enrich himself by doing Putin’s bidding. (I’m still trying to figure out whether Trump is a Russian asset or a Russian agent?)
Putin wants to bring down the post-war rules-based world order, and Trump is facilitating its collapse to please him. Most of the autocrats of the world seem to have fallen for the crap. One can but shake one’s head. Then tremble and hope for the best. — © Mark Alexander
