Over the weekend, Donald Trump praised her by saying that she was such a good judge and prosecutor that she was “drafted into show business.” He nominated her after his first pick, Ed Martin, was too radical for Senate confirmation. Jeanine Pirro has a checkered past that includes denying the legitimacy of the 2020 election, being violently anti-Islam, and defending killers like Kyle Rittenhouse.
