Feb 5, 2025 | There is growing concern in the US over Elon Musk's role in federal spending decisions. US President Trump has empowered Musk and his team to make drastic cuts. In the last two weeks, he's shuttered several government programs and moved to close the US Agency for International Development. Most recently he's gained access to closely held financial systems - including the US Treasury Department's payment system. Democrats say the situation is dangerous, unconstitutional and a power grab.

Americans were warned by many about re-electing Trump to the White House, but they wouldn’t listen. Now, they have got themselves into one BIG mess. Trump cannot be trusted and nor can Musk. – © Mark Alexander
