Car Plows into Crowd on Strike in Suspected Terror Attack in Munich | DW News

Feb 13, 2025 | A vehicle has driven into a crowd of people in the southern German city of Munich. At least 28 people have been injured - two are seriously injured. Armed police rushed to the scene as did paramedics and emergency crews. Officials say the incident appears to have been an attack. The suspect is now under arrest. Police say they believe him to be a 24-year-old Afghan asylum-seeker. The crowd was made up of workers taking part in a strike. The incident comes as the city prepares to tighten security ahead of the three-day Munich Security Conference which starts tomorrow.
