The Queen has pulled out of royal engagements this week after being diagnosed with a chest infection following a long overseas tour.
Her Majesty has been advised to rest for a “short period” and is currently at home. The 77-year-old has withdrawn from several engagements later this week, and will be represented by the Duchess of Gloucester at a Westminster Abbey wreath-laying.
Buckingham Palace said she hopes to be well enough to attend Remembrance events, including the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph, this weekend.
