Elon Musk has appeared to back a petition calling for a fresh UK general election.

The petition, created at the end of last week, demands a rerun of the July 4 contest because of the Government “going back on its promises”. It has surpassed two million signatures.

Responding to a post marking one million signatures on the petition on Sunday night, Mr Musk, the billionaire owner of X, formerly Twitter, wrote: “The people of Britain have had enough of a tyrannical police state.” » | Jack Maidment, Political Live Blog Editor | Monday, November 25, 2024
