REAL CLEAR POLITICS: On the Friday broadcast of his HBO program Real Time, host Bill Maher spars with Glenn Greenwald over Islam's history of violence and if the United States is mostly responsible for it after decades of intervention in Muslim and Arab countries.
Maher, a fervent atheist, once again ripped Islam as a violent religion and defended Christianity and Judaism from such accusations during a heated argument with Greenwald.
"That religion goes back a 1,000 years before our revolution. So, I don't think we can take all the blame," Maher told Greenwald, who said the United States' aggression goes back several decades.
"It's that silly liberal view that all religions are alike because it makes you feel good," Maher added. (+ video) » | Saturday, May 11, 2013
