The Prime Minister, it claims, has sided with the Lib Dems against his own Home Secretary. Mr Clegg takes the high-minded view that the security of this country and its people are secondary to the “human rights” of suspected terrorists. The Home Secretary, Theresa May, who has responsibility for such matters, is known to take a different view, putting the human right of law-abiding citizens not to be blown to bits by demented suicide bombers first.
