Lord Carey says Church of England is "falling apart"!

Lord Carey, the former archbishop of Canterbury, has delivered a damning critique of the Anglican communion, claiming that it has fallen apart since he was succeeded by Rowan Williams.
His remarks are set to send the relationship to a new low and give encouragement to critics of the current archbishop who are ever more vocal in expressing their dismay at his leadership.
In a speech that will be seen as a direct attack on Dr Williams's ability to maintain unity in the Church, Lord Carey accused liberals of devastating the communion "that we once loved". Only weeks ago, an open letter was circulated calling on Lord Carey to refrain from interfering in sensitive issues.
"When I left office at the end of 2002 I felt the Anglican communion was in good heart," he said. "It is difficult to say in what way we are now a communion. Bitterness, hostility, misunderstanding and strife now separate provinces from one another and divide individual provinces."
He also challenged the Church of England's statement on civil partnerships by describing it as "a serious and extraordinary departure from the Church's practice". Church has fallen apart since I was in charge, says Carey

I hate to say this but God is not PC. We can't take scripture and place what we want in there instead of what the book says.
Now I have zero problem when someone preaches as a non believer that I am hell bound. Religion is somewhat anti PC as most religions claim the divine path to the almighty. Yet when the clergyman starts to endorse criminal acts such as beheading a problem is apparent.
A church where everything is peachy and there is no right and wrong just doesn't work

Oh God! Would you really want God to be PC? :-)

Well, that's the problem, isn't it? People are doing just that. But isn't this what's going on all around us these days, in every sphere of life? Aren't people engaging in trying to re-invent the wheel?

Well, that's your imams for you!

Of course it won't. It would also have no worth.

It seems as if fundamentalism of one form or the other is closing in on the world. Imagine what life will be like if we have fundamentalist Muslims to one side of us, and fundamentalist Christians to the other! Now there's a nightmare scenario for you!
I can agree with Lord Carey to a point. It is true that the Anglican Church is falling apart, but it is not true that Rowan Williams is totally to blame. Over the last several decades, there has been an infestation of "sixties children" in the clergy who have done their best to replace the authority of Holy Scripture with Political Correctness. PC, as we all know, is Marxism applied to culture. Hence we should not be surprised that the Church is disintegrating before our very eyes, which it most certainly is. While I have great affection for the Church of Wales, out of which Archbishop Williams came, it is virtually always a great mistake to put an academic such as he, in charge of anything. The result is predictably disasterous as it appears to be in this case. All of this notwithstanding, we should not forget that only recently Lord Carey was putting forth the garbage that when Charles ascends to the throne -- God forbid -- he should have a multifaith coronation. This balderdash does not lend great credibility to Lord Carey's charges, rather it makes him look as stupid and weak and incompetent as Archbishop Williams. We can only hope that God will save his Church in spite of the combined ineptitude of the Most Reverend Archbishops Williams and Carey.

Basic respect and PC rubbish are two different animals. I can see a Church preaching respect for those of a different faith. Most religions save one respect human life.
Now the largest problem with PC is that the wrong people are being given the guilt trip. Muslims are not told of their colonial past and Jim Crowe like treatment of indigenous people. The second one starts a vowel in that direction the far left screams racism despite the non racial status of whatever group is discussed.
On my blog we have reversed the standard Zinn practice of indicting a civilization by its history on Communism itself. The irony is the Marxist scream when one turns the tables on them.

Please flesh out this statement for me; I don't quite understand it.
By the way, Beakerkin, you might have noticed that I have had a link to your blogspot for a week or two now. Any chance of a reciprocal link? It would be much appreciated.
